The Hoity Toit Beer Joint

One of our favorite spots in town! If you’re not from New Braunfels and you are looking for a locals experience this is the place. We always bring our out of town guest here. They only serve beer, cash only but you can bring your own liquor you just have to buy your mixers from them. They have two pool tables, shuffleboard and some slot machines for entertainment. Also just hanging out and people watching is a great experience.

This place is a local landmark. Its probably been around for close to a hundred years. After the atmosphere, the big draw is everything is half price. Oh, and be sure to bring cash, thats the only way you can buy anything.

I have been passing this place for quite a while and finally decided to stop. Awesome bar, staff and prices! And it’s BYOB with 2$ setups. It’s been years since we paid 2.50 for a domestic (happy hour but regular is 3$) and have seen BYOB. Close to Gruene and downtown!

Dont dare try to play shuffleboard if you are used to the plucks sliding down with ease. This one has no clear coat on it, just rough wood and dust. Beer was cold though.

While the Hoity Toit may only carry great tavern treats it makes up for. it by serving the needy with ice cold drinks and service upon request. A true favorite of the old timers. Be treated like royalty by their employees who will return a smile with each request. Located just past Eden Heights on the hill. Across the street from 1 of the older mills that provided the population employment. After a each shift you would find the workers taking a moment of relaxation before living the great life.

Great cash only dive bar atmosphere that serves exclusively beer wine and mixers.We go on Saturday night to enjoy karaoke, cold beer cold mixers and bring our own Jack Daniels for the mixers.

Very interesting place. My husband Dean and I had a great time here. Will be coming back soon.

Vintage beer haunt located in a sleepy neighborhood in New Braunfels. They offer beer and set ups at affordable prices. The jukebox is filled with all the classics that you want to hear while playing pool or shuffleboard. Take a look around and you might find a section of the bar just for you.

This place was fun for a nice cold beer, popcorn, and some A/C. Beer was pretty cheap, and the pool table was only 50 cents. Clearly an older local establishment, but the restrooms were clean and spacious. Cash only (ATM is available). Would definitely hang out there again!

I have been in here off and on throughout the years and each time I get the chubby boy that has an attitude issue. Apparently he does not like people that are not regulars… why is he still there!! Is he the owners son… grand son? He is old enough to be doing something else but he lives to be rude! Dude I get it you are not attractive you are extremely overweight and usually there is a great personality but you lack there of also. In a good mood when you come in here but by the time you leave he has you angry!!!!! Hoity toit please get a new bartender for Saturday’s

Best locals bar! Great people and atmosphere!! The amount we spent per person was a little high because I got trashed. Wish they had Guinness though!

No frills or anything special but you can converse without yelling and the staff is super friendly. Just be sure to have cash.

Nice local Beer Joint. Cheap cold beer on ice, ATM machine, pool, shuffleboard. Been coming here over 30 years. Pick nick tables outside for smokers. No one gets out of hand here and the Kareoke on Sat night is great. No mixed drinks(BYOB)

If you dont want to get caught up with all the tourism-definitely a spot for the locals. Loved it.

Tried to stop in for a beer and not sure who was out front to open (owner? / bartender). Simply asked if open and comment was no Thanks to Trump. Another angry, mean, upset democrat who watches to much tv and only believes what they hear. I guess he shut down all the other countries also. Sorry a pandemic closed you, but no need for political statement. A simple no we are closed would have worked or take off your google that you are open. Maybe stop the anger and talk to ALL of the other bars in the area that are open!!

Great little dive bar. Im told by a neighbor this is now one of the few local bars left in town. The prices are right, its not too crowded, and the people are friendly. Love their $2 beers!

Great dive bar. Locals place, friendly staff. Beer and wine only but can bring a bottle and buy setups. Come here, take a load off, relax awhile.

Well, though my opinion and view is a Lil impaired, I highly recommend stopping by when too hot and the only thing that will cool you off, ice cold brew. Good service, welcomed feeling, no b.s.. ENJOY!!!
