We were in the mood to celebrate, but it was a bit late so we ended up here. The place looked pretty, bright, and cozy, so we decided to stay. It wasn’t that busy at all, so we got lots of attention and we loved that.We received the menus, and I must say that the amount of menus, and items on each menu was extremely overwhelming. There was not a clear theme on the food items as there were Mexican, Spanish and Brazilian items. (I guess they want to attract all population in the surrounding area). The amount of things in the menu is so problematic that it took a while for the waiter to find the items in his tablet as we were placing the order. In terms of food quality, The nachos were alright, I think they should use shredded meat instead of ground beef because ground beef makes it look and taste cheap. The quesadilla was pretty tasty as well as the stuffed chicken with shrimp. The food in general was pretty good and fresh and the drinks were great. I hope I can come back soon to try some other things in their extensive list of items.
I came here with my family for dinner. Enrique was our server initially and was amazing! Unfortunately he got pulled away when a big party came in and we were assigned a different server, let’s just say he wasn’t the best. The food, drinks and hookah were all good! It’s also nice that they have validated parking given their location. I would definitely come back for happy hour, but not dinner because it seems the service gets way too slow when they’re busy.
We happened upon Vivo on our way to a dinner nearby. We sat outside. They had speakers playing the music from the bar/club inside. The server was friendly. The majority of their outside tables were full. My burger was pretty good and cooked as my request. The only issue with my meal was the random one raw french frie. My wife and daughter enjoyed their meals. They due add 18% gratuity to the check.
I was at vivo lounge for the first time last Friday night and Mathew a really nice looking guy took care of me and my friends and hes mojitos and caipirinha was the best the I ever had in my life , he helped us ordering the food and was very friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend this place , the food and the environment and costume service was amazing!! I will definitely come back soon ..
I shouldve been to this place much sooner. The food, atmosphere, service and entertainment earned this place the 5 🌟.The 🥘 was beyond delicious, truly had the scallops melting in your mouth. The chorizo were cooked to perfection & very tasty. Oh, and what else can I say about the fried calamari - one plate was not enough.Chase it all down with a delicious mango mojito or a very tasty expresso martini. Whatever you drink is up to you, but these 2 were on my favorite list.Onwards to dessert- Tres Leches with fruit, now that was a new twist. It was fresh and not too sweet but creamy and delicious. The Creme Catalana was extremely creamy and very tasty. To top it off the evening did not end at dinner. We had the privileged of the Live Event - featuring Legendary Noel and I must say... that is true entertainment. 👍🏼Highly recommend this place, especially now during the summer for Saturday Freestyle evenings. Check out their website.
Tapas was probably one of the best bars I’ve ever been to. The service is good specially with the bartenders named Adriana and Valery. They make the best Brazilian caipirinhas. Coco is my fav.
I visited on a Friday afternoon 9/2/22 around 5 PM. The outside area had one more table being serviced and the inside was nearly empty. The outside dining space and the music was pretty cool and laid back. The drinks are okay and the food is tasty. I ordered several tapas which were all good I size, presentation and flavor. The only thing is that I was rushed to order and that always is such a turn off and a huge buzz kill for a foodie like myself. If you k ow you know. The lady who attended me seemed to have a very hyperactive personality and did not seem to read human interaction very well. She kept asking if we were ready to order immediately after handing Over the menus and repeated herself several times, just minutes apart each time after that. It was my first time there and I wanted to look at my options before ordering.I’m sure those who work there and those who are regulars there know exactly who I’m talking about. She’s nice but she needs to relax a little. Other than that all was well but it won’t be a place I visit regularly like all my other favorite cool newark spots because of the rush rush factor. Nope.EditRevisited on 9/19/22Good food. Good service. Nobody rushed us.There were two other tables being served at the time I was there. Gabriel was our sever.Very kind, friendly and attentive.
Firs time there in March of 2022. Ive been dining in the iron bound for decades but normally go to the same 3 restaurants. A friend suggested to try tapas and Im glad I did. Instead of getting 1 dish we ordered 4 and shared. The food was amazing and the staff was friendly.Only took 2 photos mid way in but it all looked and tasted great.
Food is good but the service is terrible. The server was very rude to me and I could feel him not willing to help me get things. In the end he even forced me to pay gratuity and tried to hide this fact by not giving me the receipt.
I finally visited this restaurant. I have had my eye on this place for a while. I live in the neighborhood where this establishment resides. I came on a weekday. While the service was decent and attentive, I have to say the food is just ok and the drinks are weak and overpriced. I have to add that I have had take out here before and the Sangria was strong and good as well as the Paella. Which is why I was surprised at the lack luster of the drinks and food when I sat down to dine. The oxtails are decent. They should be cooked longer so that they can be a bit more tender but they are flavorful. We ordered crab stuffed mushrooms. All I can say is they were aweful. They put some raspberry like sauce on top which was absolutely horrible.Needless to say I would not go back. My rating is more 2.5 but I would say it goes to the service during my dine in experience.
Food was bad, not tasty at all, more on the dry side. I had the paella for four. Service was terrible, I couldnt find him at all and I went at 4pm when it wasnt busy. The best part of it was he charged me 18% gratuity, he didnt deserve that. The bill didnt make much sense to me and trying to get it explained annoyed the waiter. I wont be going back, good luck!
I love VIVOs and this is by far one of the most elegant, high end places I go everytime I just want to relax and be surrounded by amazing people. The owner and the entire staff are very amazing people who dedicate themselves to give their customers the best experience possible. I highly recommend everyone to come here at least once in their lives.
Great bar ! The DJ was amazing ! The mix of music really made it a great night !
First time. Was in the mood for drinks and appetizers. Waiter was friendly. I ordered Patron margaritas $7 which was a good size and very tasty. Burger and fries were good as well. We sat outdoors, will try going again as we are new to area and decided to walk around.
The bill already comes with the tip included but they don’t tell you that, so everyone is paying the double tip for a service that isn’t that great. ALWAYS ASK FOR AN ITEMIZED RECEIPT before signing for the bill. The Sangria isn’t that great, very sweet and taste like juice and the Hookah is very week and expensive. Can’t comment on the food because I never order food there. Will not be returning to this place. Sorry!
Had an amazing time! They played a variety of genres, and it was so much fun. The food was great, and the service was impeccable, in my opinion. Great spot to meet up with friends. They also provided parking, which was a plus. Its so hard to find a restaurant that has parking in Newark. They provide 3hrs of parking for free and make sure you get it validated before leaving.
I went Labor Day 2022 and it was great. It was still warm enough to sit outside, so of course we did. It so spacious, unlike most outdoor experiences I’ve had. It was nicely decorated as well. The wait staff and food were excellent as well. The sangria was awesome. Just a great experience overall.
Food was misleading by pictures, hookah wasnt satisfying, drinks took 30 mins to come out when only three tables were present. Owner didnt have much class and was trying to argue when I sent back terrible appetizers. 18% Gratuity was included for two people and wasnt worth it. this on Tiktok so it seemed appealing but would not come back or recommend! Spend your money elsewhere
I went to this place on 12/27/22 and it has been the worse dining experience ever. The drinks were made bad and the service was horrible. Our waiter who also informed us that he is the manager was very rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. My husband ordered a well done steak but instead was given a rare steak at 10:50 pm and when my husband informed the waiter, the water replied by stating” oh well yea I took the order but the kitchen is closed and there’s nothing that I can do!” We asked for a manager and the waiter stated, “ I am the manager!” We also ordered a Hawaiian Punch hookah but instead was given a mint flavored hookah. When myself and the other 3 guest brought this to the waiters attention the water said,” no it’s not!” Finally we were instructed to leave out the back door by the waiter.
Owner was very rude. They advertise rewards points and when I showed them my rewards points he told me that he would not honor it.After explaining to him that I know the consumer law he told me that he dosen’t care. I explained to him if you advertise something you have to honor it. His response was that it doesn’t matter to him. Very rude!
Had a great time after second visit in a one year time span. Had the stuffed chicken and shrimp and it was outstanding. They did a great job accommodating party of 8. Owner was very nice and professional. You could tell he cares about his business.
Great food, fun atmosphere. Daniel was absolutely amazing! He took very good care of us a party of 4. Very attentive and all around such an awesome person. He also took the time to valid our parking coupon and walked us the block down to our car. Such excellent service!!
This place was a great spot to chill with my friends, the staff was extremely friendly. Thank you Fabio for taking care of us and making sure we were satisfied. This is somewhere where I would come with my family as well, the food was actually really good and there is a huge selection on the menu. Thank you to the Vivo staff, I will be returning here as soon as possible.
My experience was complete, great service and food
We were visiting Newark for Portugal Day and we decided to stop for some authentic food. After reconning a few places we chose Vivo. Best decision we could have made. We chose outdoor dining and we were quickly made to feel at home. Small Red house Sangria was so tasty. We shared a Shrimp and Garlic which had just the right amount of heat with some wonderful fresh bread for dipping. Next we shared a paella valenciana which was one of the best we have ever eaten. We ended the meal with a cappuccino each and a Sambuca straight up (our sugar for the coffee lol)My only personal hitch was the 18 percent tip automatically added to the bill. I guess I can understand they sometimes get stiffed for tips but I actually usually always tip 20 percent as long as service is good but in this case since the tip was added automatically I let it stand at that since it kind of left an unpleasant feeling. We will be back without a doubt though because everything else was stellar.
The food tasted good, but it made me sick the next morning. the music really wasn’t my vibe (it gave more of a rave type of energy, and my friends and i like to do real hoodrat tings lol). the hookah was dope though. so i say this is a hit or a miss depending on who goes there.
Came here last night with a group of 10 and it was just not it. First they weren’t ready for us even though a reservation had been made so they scrambled to put tables together. The drinks? Couldn’t even taste a drop of liquor in it. Your best bet would be to get a beer. The food took a little over an hour to arrive and when it did, everyone’s entrees were cold and we were all missing our sides. We had to flag down the owner/manager (?) to inform him of this. Waitress came over and said it’s because there’s only 1 guy in the kitchen. 1 guy on a Saturday night and you guys couldn’t tell us this ahead of time? Or you know, not take so many food orders at once. The place was PACKED too so others were definitely left waiting as well. A girl from a different party walked out from frustration which we almost did too. The only redeemable thing was the DJ. But he didn’t arrive till 11pm which is when they turn the dining area into a lounge. I would definitely not be back, especially since I don’t even live in Jersey so eff that.
Most banging place Ive stumbled into on a drizzling Sat after midnight. Aside the food - delicious - & the friendly staff, the DJ kept the heartbeat racing w/party favs in replete genres from Bachata to typical hip grabbing hits. Its a sure keep new addition to my favs! C U there!
Coming here for Tapas and Hookah was a fun experience, but food and drinks were not entirely worth the price. Other reviews mentioning middling Sangria are correct. Most of the value comes from excellent service and ambience. We especially enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms and ceviche.
Service team is amazing! Soup had no flavor :/ shrimp was oily salty absolute tasteless or the flavor was salt :/ not Spain food at all. Not to mention that the female bartender was eating the cherry and licking her hand then squeezing the lemons on peoples drink
When my friend and I arrived for happy hour, we were quickly seated. The bartender Damaris, quickly took our drink orders and made sure that the drinks were made to our liking. The food was really good, I had the half chicken with rice & fries. Damaris was so friendly, super sweet, and conversation flowed so easily! I’ve honestly never had a better server/bartender! The place was clean, and service was speedy! I will definitely come back!
Very Pleasant atmosphere. The food was good. Just took 45 minutes to come to the table. The waitress did tell you that when she took the order(big+). The appetizers were good but not allot. The blue sangria is delicious. Had a Groupon was well worth it. Even though the lobster wasnt that big. Good experience would definitely come back.
Wonderful place and the delicious food! My kids are very shy and they loved the bartender dameris, she was super attentive and communicative. The drinks are great but from what we saw she knows how to treat the table customers much better than the ecuadorian waiter. I’ll definitely come back.
Visited Vivo this past weekend for my best friends bday dinner and had a terrible experience, for starters our table wasn’t ready for the 9:30 reservation we had. We sat at the bad while they got that situated and then we sat about 9:40. Once we sat down the waiter came over and started taking orders, we ordered appetizers and drinks followed by food. Keep in mind it was 10 of us. The appetizers finally came out for only one person might I add. Again it’s 10 of us and 6 appetizers were ordered for the table to share. Before our food could come to the table we were bombarded by “bottle girls”. After being asked 5 times if we were getting bottles we had to let them know the food hasn’t even come out to the table yet. Finally the food arrives (still no appetizers) and it was cold at this point we’re done with this place and are just ready to go but of course we wanted to celebrate the birthday girl and sing happy birthday I kid you not the waiter brought the cupcakes out in the same bag they were brought in *confused face leaving us to light the candle ourselves and sing. People were starting to dance around us because apparently we were sitting on the dance floor and vomiting from being drunk off the cheap liquor. Highly upset.
First time I went there about a year ago the food was excellent and services was ok.. went back on Mother’s Day.. server was awful.. we order a margarita, finished it in about 45 minutes and they never came to even check on us or take our order .. we left cash on the table and left disappointed an hour laterWent last night again and one more time horrible .. soup of the day came almost 90 minutes after ordering.. first soup had none of what they said would be on it, they replaced it and being that we were so hungry ate it all.. octopus was not ok.. said it contained sea salt.. and had 0 salt. $20 for a margarita with mango flavor that was never there. Their $12 seafood soup my friend said was very food.We were served the food and had no utensils, no small plates and had to wait long every time we asked for somethingPlus, they charged gratuity regardless (party of 3) the waitresses were nice but lacked professionalism and quality services. We let them know how unsatisfied we were and she agreed and said that they were too busy and their kitchen was small, but never offer even the soups for free after such a huge delay. The two tables around us complained too and nothing was done to make things up. Overall last time for me.. and definitely not recommended..
It was my 1st time here. I went there on friday night it was great. You a good amount of foom for the price. I love the DJ thr muisc was great. My friend and i was jaming to most of the songs
Amazing food great pricesEverything I got was a 10/10The desserts are also goodFast attentive service
Be prepared to wait 2-3hours for your food order. And like others have expressed in these reviews, if the food does make it to your table its either cold or sometimes not well cooked which is health hazard! It shouldnt matter that it is busy night, have more waiters and kitchen staff like excellent restaurants have. Waiters have attitudes, teach them better customer service skills.
My fiance and I went last night for dinner and was not impressed with the food at all. I ordered the NY strip steak medium rare. My first bite indicated it was more raw then medium. I notified my server of the issue. It was sent back to the kitchen to be adjusted. When it came back both I and my server seen than it wasnt any better. He wanted to take it back to have it done right ,but I refused. The ceviche appetizer wasnt cured fish or shrimp and was in a tiny martini glass filled with it for $17. Wasnt worth the money. The passion fruit sangria was the only saving grace to this story. With all the outdoor seating and service I can sympathize to a point. However the prices and the quality of food arent great. We might have caught a bad night , but I have eaten in the past here and had no issues. I am giving 3 stars for the two reasons. The passion fruit sangria was delicious and Daniel our server was exceptional in his costumer service towards us.
The food and service were both fantastic! It was my mother and I’s first time eating there, and the food we shared was very flavorful. The staff was also friendly and professional with giving us feed back to what their favorite foods were. Also, was very pleased that they took proper sanitary procedures with cleaning and wearing masks. Highly recommend the food and the service, can’t wait to come back!
The place was nice, staff was decent but it’s for a Spanish crowd. Get there before 9 for better diner options. We didn’t enjoy the options that was left. Waited a while and had to ask a few times for hookah. Gratuity was included for a party of 4, 20%
This was recommended to me by a friend. Horrible food and over priced drinks. Generic calamari with no flavor. The raw wine taste in the crab stuffed mushrooms made me gag. The paellas looked pretty but lack flavor except salt. (Chicken and the shrimp pasta) pasta was also burned and crunchy. Bill with drinks $180... not seeing me again
We were seated then asked to move because another party came in. The service wasn’t good we waited over ten minutes for someone to even ask what we wanted and then after that we kept having to get up from our table to go to the bar to order our drinks. On the menu it states gratuity is 18% and when the bill came they charged us 20%. The seats in which they sat us at the area over there was cold. My experience just wasn’t pleasant
Weve been to all of the spots in the area (and surrounding) and honestly, this is the BEST! Amazing food, delicious sangria, and great service. Shrimp in garlic is awesome. Surf n Turf is unbelievable. Tomahawk steak is ridiculously good. You must try it!
The food is amazing definitely worth every dollar. They have drinks and hookah. Very classy. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and fun. Management is caring and attentive. I enjoy coming here often.
It’s always a good time at Vivo! My party had a blast. Our usual servers weren’t present, but we never dined on a Sunday before, but the gentlemen took care of us. Tried something different drink wise - one of their fish bowls, I believe it was the orange creamsicle. It wasn’t very good as it tasted like water and orange juice. I was also charged twice but their secretary was very responsive and quick to fix. I’ll continue returning to this establishment based on this piece alone.
Motorcycle parking VIP got 3 stars with me. lolTheir fish bowl drinks are great and loved the outdoor seating in the summer time. Good music, pretty waitresses and friendly staff. They even have hookahs.. chill spot for summer 2021 ..only downfall, prices were stupid. Lost a star for that, sorry.
Its always the same every time I go, which would be acceptable if they didnt charge you up the a** for everything. Gave us an attitude when we asked about our hookah. Asked for a cup of water and they refused, making me pay $5 for a fancy bottle of water. Saying they dont do cups of water. I practically begged them, since they were so willing to keep refilling our drinks, but not give us water. They flat out said no, and then charged my card $5 before I said I wanted it. My tab was almost $100, and I couldnt really understand why until I noticed they added an 18% gratuity without my knowledge. Drinks are way overpriced and service is pretty garbage. Ive had more drinks for less money in nicer places. Ridiculous. I wont be going back.
This place is absolutely a hidden gem in Newark’s Ironbound! My friend and I decided to try it out and we left so happy. The food is good, & the staff is super friendly, especially our bartender Demaris! She gave us the history of all the drinks, made it exactly to our liking and always checked to make sure we were satisfied. It’s rare that you find good food, cheap drinks and good service all in one spot but this place absolutely has it all. They now have a new loyal customer! Keep up the great work!
Am giving a 1 star for a very good reason. Me and my friends we waited by the door to get seated on mothers day but no one came to ask or see if we needed to be sitted. I went straight to the bar tender who was very rude and shouted at me for asking him if we could get a sit. He gave me evil eye that I almost walked out. But the food was good and the lady who later served us was really nice. But customer service in any business is key! FIRST IMPRESSION
This place is delicious. We picked a bad night to drive into Newark so it took a while to get to the parking lot (which is free with a voucher they give you with your check). We had a Groupon which came with a small pitcher of sangria (can upgrade for $8) but the small pitcher was enough for 2 glasses each and we tried the white and red! The paella was to die for and so was the tapas we tried. The service is wonderful. This is not a fast in and out place but really nice to go for a long date night. Absolutely will be returning again.
The liquor is cut must I REMIND YOU ALL THE LIQUOR IS Cutttttt with WATER we had like 9 against the manager even gave us free shots cause he knew we was right the vibes was great but the liquor being cutt is a big no no especially as a bartender!!!!
Cozy & comfortable spot. The wings were awesome; golden brown cooked well done. If you trying to have a good time with friends or family, this is the spot.
Had appetizers an dri nks...place was dead for being a Saturday..but I guess do to the holidays everyone was still eating leftovers
For starters, this restaurant was showcased on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives and I will get into why. This is a Small restaurant with a back home, mom and pop type vibe. I say that as a true compliment. The food on the other hand is SO GOOD! This is easily our fave southern joint to go to when we are craving some tasty comfort food.
We went there on Sunday and it was empty we should have taken a sign we order our meal and appatizer. Which took too long to come and then We received our appetizer and found a hair on the calamari . We returned it and in the kitchen they just Chang the plate and all they do was refried it version. Then the main course which was $120 parrilhada And it didn’t come as the menu described it no snow crab legs, food came very dry with no sauce, it was flavourless and the lobster was over cooked. It was over all so disappointing especially for the price $ 300 later and wasn’t satisfied. NEVER AGAIN
Best Paella in town!!! Felt like I was in Spain all over again!! Full Of flavor and super fresh! A great variety in their menu from tapas to entrees. Some of my favorites aside from the paella are their ceviche, tacos, and stuffed jumbo shrimp!! This place is family friendly which is great!!! My kids love the kids menu especially their juicy burgers!! The service is great! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s a weekly stop for my family and I!! The sangria is delicious!!! Highly recommend!
We went there on a weekday since they have 50% off hookah and 25% off food. This is where the good part stops!First of they are priced like a good NYC restaurant. They charge $15 for a small bowl of guacamole!! Even nyc isn’t that expensive. Service is super slow! Everything takes forever to come and you have to ask 2-3 for what you already ordered for. There is no system to who your server is. It’s whoever happens to be passing by! Hookah is priced at $40! That’s more that what some of the best hookah places charge in NYC! I think the owner was high when he drafted the menu and prices. On top that lousy service they have an automatic 18% gratuity charge! And that 18% is on the undiscounted price! No where does it state on their menu that there is an automatic gratuity. I feel cheated.
Food was amazing. Staff was attentive and friendly. Would recommend to everyone who enjoys flavourful food. The outdoor experience I could never adapt to although the indoor ambiance is nice.
I was a little apprehensive about this restaurant from some of the reviews on here. But I had a Groupon and decided to try it out. Am I glad that I did. We started out with appetizers of mussels and octopus. The octopus with some of the best that Ive had. For the main meal I had Diablo paella and my friend had the oxtails. Both were delicious and neither of us could finish our plate. The service was very good and the waiter answered all my questions on the menu. I will definitely be going back.
So took an Uber here & used our groupon. Wow! What a deal & a large quantity of food.A very cozy & Romantic place with a great selection of food. We had a small appetizer, Paella & the white Sangria.Definitely recommended for before 10pm, when they remove the tables & it becomes a club for the night.Very friendly & accommodating staff.
Paella was very good. Staff was attentive and friendly. We had a Groupon but forgot to make a reservation, as was mentioned by the terms. However, since it was a slow night the waitress allowed us to sit regardless. Good customer service since we were the ones who didnt follow the instructions on the Groupon.
I came here five times, both at the tapas bar and the cafe. The restaurant food was good, but the service a little confused and a bit pricey. I prefer take out from the cafe. There is some pretty wonderful food there if you know what to order. The cafe is extremely popular, and seating is crowded. There is a mix of people ordering pastries, dinners, etc, and mostly self serve, except for the dinners. Cafe service is really wonderful, considering how crowded and busy they are. Some of the cashiers have very limited English, but are very friendly and go out of their way to help.
Ive had the greast time ever! The music is so great, so much dancing! Everything was great. My bartender was Fredy and he was so attentive and he gave me everything I needed! Perfect!
Took my son and used the Groupon for paella for two. The food was delicious and the service was great. The waiter was attentive and the owner was visibly available making sure everyone was satisfied. The atmosphere was pleasant. I have been here before without the coupon and enjoyed the same service and quality dinners.I would recommend this restaurant with or without the Groupon. I will be back soon!!!
Three days ago, I ordered two paellas to pick up over the phone, a woman named Lucy answered and told me I could get a discount of 25% for the order. But when I went to pick them up, I never received absolutely any discount and instead was charged unjustly by the manager himself the original price PLUS a supposed tip, even though I literally only went for pickup, not dine in. Its unfair to trick people like that.
Went here tonight with a group of 7 . As far as the restaurant decor and clean bathrooms everything else was horrible . Word of advice for the restaurant if the place is not so busy and you have employees standing around talking and doing nothing work for your tips (make sure everything is okay at tables , make conversation with customers don’t just stand there and look cute . There’s always something to do if not go home lol We waited and hour and a half for our food and when it came it was cold ?? And half of it never came out . We was very lucky to find a place a couple of blocks away wit the same food better prices . God was on our side because when people are hungry things get ugly . Will not be comming here again .
The first time was just at the lounge and some hookah, but we enjoyed the atmosphere and the music was good so we decided to give it another visit. I took my husband here this past Saturday night to celebrate his birthday. We met some other friends too.I made the reservation online, so easy.We started with tapas and everything we tried was so delicious.Red sangria was perfect! We saw other tables orders and the servings were huge! So we actually shared the main entre.I loved the fried artichokes. The ceviche was perfect. Garlic shrimp was juicy and cooked perfect. The Salmon was excellent. Steak was juicy, tender and cooked just the way we ordered it. Our server, Daniel gets 5 stars!! He was great ! We have eaten at different places in ironbound but so far this was our favorite and have decided to go back. I honestly can’t wait to go back. Our other friends that met us there enjoyed it also. We were all impressed!
We had an amazing night of specialty drinks and tapas. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed the atmosphere. All of the staff were very friendly. Alessandro was fun and served some delicious cocktails! We will definitely come back here again during our vacation! Muy bueno!
The server rarely stopped by our table. Took almost an hour to get our food/drinks and when it came, it turned out our server forget to add one of our orders in making us wait even longer for our food. When it finally came it was cold! Needed to flag multiple servers down just to get served. If you come at night, be prepared to wait forever for cold food.
I went about 4 years ago it was awesome then... went again recently and it was awful. Most (oddly, not all) of the seafood in the paella we ordered was terribly over cooked to the point of becoming mush. It was like Russian roulette guessing if this was a decent shrimp or one of the mushy ones before biting. We ended up wasting most of it. I would never ever go back.
Came here on a sat night and the place went dinner to lounge. Tapas was good and the soup of the day should have been the soup everyday. The dj (djnado) was playing lots of Latin as this is a Latin type restaurant. Good music, good food, good staff, good vibes. I would recommend for a date night or just going out for a few drinks and dancing.
Went there today for the first time, it was great from the moment we walked in.. We ordered some traditional spanish appetizers and a sangria.. good start. When the food came out ( parillada de marisco ) i felt sorry to only have ordered one for the 2 of us. It was so very good.. table next to us orderd the paella and it looked and smelled terrific. Cant wait to go back and try it out.. place is a 5 star all day long.
Yesterday feb 10, 2018 After waiting for a hour my meal came out. Lukewarm they take it back and reheat but you know what happen to seafood when reheat! This was my wife and I valentine dinner. There was a large group around 25 people other than that the place was empty. The service was slow. It seen to me that they carter better to large group and forget. Of the individuals. I give it no star.
Great restaurant, had an amazing experience during my dinner. Really great paellas, sangrias and also a giant margarita. The options of tapas are pretty great as well.
I went to Vivo Tapas today, August 4th 2020. I ordered two margaritas and two Pork Chops in sherry brandy sauce; 92.00 dollars. The price is not worth the food. The food is terrible. It was very grease and cold. The French fries were soaked. The places has a nice music and is warming and good mood, however the food is not worthy neither the drinks. The margaritas were were strange. It was not the margaritas I get in other places. Everything was awful. I do not recommend this place for drinks neither for eating.
Hands down the best club in the area. For all Harrison folks, you got to come to Vivo to dance. My friend knew the staff, so we got a bit of royal treatment. Didnt hurt for sure.Staff was super friendly even otherwise.
It was delicious. I enjoyed every single dish especially the croquettes. They had delicious sangria and one of them was even blue. Im coming back next time im in Jersey!
This place is amazing. Nice music, and the service was great. The only problem was finding a parking spot near the restaurant.
Place was very decent. Staff is friendly. Food was delicious. Only downside I noticed was the table being too small, cant fit 2 paellas in one table, which isnt a deal breaker but still something that becomes annoying once you start ordering drinks and appetizers.
This place is a waste of a good location. Horrible service!
Absolutely amazing. Great food. Great service. Amazing atmosphere. Love the outdoor seating the flowers and vines were an amazing touch. Daily specials are awesome. THEY EVEN HAVE FREE PARKING!!!!THE PASTRIEs OMG THERE TO DIE FOR.ALL IN ALL. AMAZING PLACE AMAZING FOOD. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!
Went for an early dinner, party of 2, on a Saturday. Grilled calamari was served with cold pieces and warm pieces. TheAlbondigas tasted like they were cooked the week before and reheated. Vivo burger is good. Service is horrible. Took almost 2 hours to get in and out. The place was not packed. They forced an 18% tip on the bill.
Total rip off. Drinks are spiced and over priced. Very nasty staff. They leave mens bathroom open so everyone see inside. My credit card got charged $90.00 for 4 Coronas and a margarita plus a 18% tip which was more than $100.00. So people have to pay attention to your credit card because they over charge.
The food is good. But charging everyone am automatic 18percent gratuity is disrespectful especially when the service doesnt deserve that large of an amount of automated gratuity. Im spending $30 in tip for what?!?! These waitresses dont deserve a 30 tip for my meal!!! What the helllll!!!!!
Love love love Vivo’s Lounge!!! you can go there on a Friday or Saturday night and have a party once the restaurant is close. Dj mix the music to get the crowd like moving, dancers who dance on top of the bar and they also have hookahs. You can also go for happy hour and they also accommodate large parties. At my old job we used to have our Christmas parties there and it was always a good time.Make sure you try the rock and roll shrimp and the bread that comes with the sauce the orange sauce, it’s so good 😋
Great service, very attentive although it was during the week so i assume if it was busier it qould be just as good and the paella was cooked well.. excellent for a one on one on the off hours turns in to a club after certain time.. Beautiful decor, parking not available/street parking
I assume if I bring a groupon and paid for a meal, that the cost is covered. They try to get you to buy extra stuff to tack onto your bill but even if you dont get any extra stuff they still charge you all these extra fees. I will pay you a Tip dont worry. Charging me an extra $30 just feels like a scam. Its not a place I would visit again. Ive had better paella.
Just in town for business and heard of great Portuguese cuisine in the area. The decor is great and nice liquor selection. I got paella with lobster, chicken, shrimp sausage and other stuff. Bottom of the line is the food was way over cooked. Shrimp and lobster were incredibly tough and over cooked. Super disappointed as the server didnt pick up ok the disappoinment even though my $28 dish had 4 bites taken out of it. My advice is dont waste your time or money. There are better places in the area.
Omg this place is ALWAYS a good time on the weekends. They clear out the tables and its a mini night club. Drinks are good, pretty dancers that dance on top of the bar, and vigilant security. 4 stars only cuz the DJ sometimes gets a bit repetitive, but in general the musics pretty lit. A mix of everything.
Where do I begin ? The vibe here is super pleasant. Kinda clubby but not really. The desserts where AMAZING , we didnt really try the food. Thats about it though. The staff doesnt really speak English, was kind of rude because of our lack of Portuguese and one thing that really pissed me off.. The service was slow as hell. Why did that piss me off? Other than my girlfriend and I there was another large group there and thats it. Will not be returning.
Dj is always pretty good. Never seen a huge crowd but just enough to have a good time. Bottle service is reasonable but not worth it if you can snag a seat at the bar.
The WORST Experience Ever. The lady who was our Server NAME LINA Only Paid More Attention to the ppl Who was Sitting at The BAR.. LACK OF SERVICE.. The Steak Wasnt Medium and it was missing Potatoes 😕 The Salad was also Missing the Dressing. THE Server Act like she didnt know they didnt have the stuff. I had the Pork & Shrimp Picadinho that was Also MISSING the Rice.. I got more potato instead of chopped pork.. SO TO Top It OFF They ADDED 18% Gratitude To The BILL.. THAT SERVER LINA DIDNT DESERVES A $13.14 TIPS W LACK OF SERVICE. They also Add TAX LQ 🤔 I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SPOT FOR LUNCH OR DINNER.. the MANAGER Neva Came to Our Table to Apologize For the SERVICE.I also had Front Row seat To an Affair going on at the Bar. Again Nobody had that Nasty Situation Under control 😒🙄😕 Two Thumbs down 👎
Nuno , the server, was rude from the moment we walked in. He has a very nasty attitude. As soon as he heard we were paying with a Groupon his already nasty attitude became even worse! He only came to ask if everything was okay ONCE in over 2 hours that we stayed there. The food was amazing!
The atmosphere isnt anything to write home about. However the food was so delicious, we ordered several tapas the Rock and Roll shrimp was great along with the Pulpas and I dont even like shrimp or octopus. The Lobster Paella was also great.I would definitely visit there again.
BEWARE! This place is TERRIBLE. I purchased a Groupon for Paella for 2 and a pitcher of Sangria for $35. we got there at 8pm. Waitress recommended that we upgrade the sangria to the large pitcher for an extra $8 so we did. What we got back was extremely WATERED DOWN Sangria. Then she recommended that we get an appetizer to eat while they cook the paella that takes 45 MINUTES so we did.....53 MINUTES later we received our DISGUSTING appetizer. Menu said prawns with fresh crabmeat....we got back 3 OVERCOOKED butterflied shrimp with ORANGE GOO...I was already heated that our appetizer took longer than what the paella would have been.....45 minutes after that we received our very OVERCOOKED, FLAVORLESS, DISGUSTING paella! This is now 10pm.......the clams, shrimp and lobster tail was so OVERCOOKED that they were crispy, the chicken in it tasted like it was RECOOKED...it was horrible...i couldnt eat it and told the waitress but she didnt care....we payed an extra $40 on top of my $35 Groupon (total $75) and went to Dunkin Donuts cause its now 10:30 and we are starving. This place is pathetic and a disgrace! We noticed another 3 couples also complaining. We purchase Groupons to try out new places but I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE EVEN IF THEY PAID ME.
Is good the food, they reduce the portion size but almost every restaurant did it because the inflation .
Nico is absolutely amazing!! He made us feel welcomed as soon as we sat down and is such an attentive bartender. We love him and he made our experience! We will be back.
I’ve been at Vivo on mothers day, it was amazing. We had the lobster of 2 pounds -- best experience ever! I love it!
Just had dinner there and after seen what I saw never come back. The guy fixing the tables drop the utensils on the floor and discretely pick them up and place them over the table like nothing happened. I ask for the manager and surprisingly the employee keep working till I was there. The employee subsequently approaches another patron trying to case his case believable but another people back up what my party saw. Beware. If that happened wth a location full of people , just imagine what could happen in the kitchen.
Have been coming here for about 10 years. The Paella is absolutely outstanding, and they always prepare it fresh as you order it, so it is wonderful!! They also have a huge variety of appetizers, 48 if I remember correctly. I love the red sangria, and usually order the premium, which is made with Remy Martin, VSOP, which is delicious and packs quite a punch.. The servers all have a great positive aditude and makes my expierence very positive. A young lady named Paula always has a smile on her face and does her best to ensure the guests are all taken care of to the best of her ability.. One of my favorite stops in Newark. Highly reccomended. In the past Andrea was my server for years and I miss her but gotta credit the management for maintaining the same high standards.
Not good.Watered down sangria. Cheese plate and meatballs that were breaded. Flavorless shrimp. We usually like to explore a tapas menu but had to stop early because we were afraid of what might come out next. Maybe the other items were better, but it was not worth our time or money to go any further.
Had a really great meal, Valenciana paella and Diablo paella, the brie, walnut, caramelized onions filet mignon and a dinner with a variety of delicious meats. Appetizers were mushrooms stuffed with crab meat and their meatballs. The flavor profiles were On Point! Delicious food and plenty of leftovers. Wait staff were awesome. And free parking (about a half block away). Will definitely go again. Also check them out on Groupon.
I visited this place lastnight February 26, 2018. We ordered calamari, vegetable paella, full rack of ribs, and fries. First off everything was soooooooo sallty, the calamari tasted good but after a while the salt started getting to me so we stopped eating to wait on the rest of the food. Then almost an hour the ribs that looked like a 3/4 of a rack instead of full came out (I thought the guy forgot about us) the ribs was a bit burnt, salty and dry so I asked the server for some more bbq sauce thinking it would be a little sweet to override the salt, the guy brings the BBQ sauce and it was so cold!!! I ended up scraping it off the ribs. Then we almost finished eating the ribs we remembered we didnt get the vegetable paella we kept asking the guy for it. A couple who came after us had seafood paella how is the seafood ready b4 veggie? And ways when that came it was also very saly.. I hate broccoli and ended up eating the broccoli because it gave me a bit of refreshment from the salt... $82 worth of food wasted! However I gave them 2 stars, the live band and entertainment was enjoyable we sat for another hour singing along and drinking beer while enjoying a hookah... if I should ever go back to this place I will definitely eat first and just go to enjoy the hookah and entertainment. Lol I hate McDonalds but I would have felt better if I had bought McDonalds
Fantastic restaurant with terrific food!! We ordered the Paella Velincia for two and could not eat it all! The staff here is very attentive to your needs. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone!
Lousy service. Plus an automatic 18% gratuity on the undiscounted price! There is no indication anywhere that gratuity is automatic and it’s in undiscounted price. That’s just cheating the customers. Who are they fooling? No sane customer will return!Edit: calling the customer cheap for raising a legitimate concern! Not a smart businessman.1. If there is an automatic gratuity I needs to be stated clearly! Hitting the customer with that charge post service is deceptive practice at best.2. Adding an 18% gratuity on undiscounted price means you you made the customer pay ~30% extra! And frankly that’s fraudulent. Especially when the customer has to wait 25mins for bowl of guacamole or ask for the same item 3-4 to the server3. You misunderstand what gratuity means! It’s literally meaning is that it’s discretionary and not mandatory and should depend on the quality of service which your place lacks!Chiding the reviews rather than fixing the device shows where your priorities are!
Great place! The owner is super nice. Like a professional owner, he is outside shaking hands and thanking you for your business. Great service! Awesome employees! Definitely coming back!
They have a funny/confusing way of charging customers by already including taxes in the food but not the drinks. They also have a disclosure on their menu that says prices can change at any time. Huh?
I have been to this place many times and it is always a good place to hangout. Vivo starts out as a lounge where they serve food and drinks then I think at 10 or 11pm it turns into a dance floor with mostly latin music, bachata, salsa, reggaeton some dancehall, dance music etc. I have been here mostly on weekend nights which normally attracts a large crowd. Normally there is a good DJ and drinks are round $12. There is also girls who dance on the counter top. The space is not very large so you might bump into people, just keep dancing. Good place.
Service was absolutely horrendous. The server was rude from the start, but had the nerve to add a 18% tip to the bill when we only had four people in our party. My family and I had an awful experience for my fathers birthday, and we will not be coming back.
The Paella Marinera was decent. The Sangria was tasty and well liqueured up((Strong!! 😊)For an appetizer we had Garlic Shrimp, it was just ok.The menu prices are slightly high. The average Tapas is going to run about $13.00The Server Daniel was a rude jerk. A Pompous and condescending moron. This guy was Inconsiderate to our needs. He was slow and inattentive despite only have two tables to wait on. I hate to use such strong language but I want the reader to understand just how bad the service was, and therefore contributed to the fact that I will never ever go back, and strongly tell all friends and family never to visit.I am 100% sure that the service sucked because of the fact that this restaurant includes an 18% gratuity AUTOMATICALLY!!!So this horrible Server/Waiter got a $15.00 tip even though he was a bad waiter. 👎👎👎
They are having a New Years Bash 2018! $99.00 entry pp with open bar, midnight champagne and buffet, $180.00 for couples.$35.00 entry pp for two hr open bar ONLY. They serve reasonably priced bar style Portuguese food with a very fun and relaxing vibe. Mainly find hispanic culture particularly Brazilian and Portuguese at this lounge. It is located in the heart of Newark, Ironbound section.
We co-workers celebrated the holidays together! It was a wonderful time. The atmosphere at the restaurant made our celebrations even more fun.
Never been there for the food, but the night life is worth it all! Great music and bar staff at night! Was here for Alex Sensation a while back, place was packed with all ages!
Love the sangria and paella.Book ahead of time especially Friday and Saturday.if you have a large party make sure they have the correct order they tend to get them wrong sometimes . wonderful staff and great lounge after hours.
I went to Vivo on Dec 18,2017 to book a small Christmas Outing for me and my co-workers. I spoke with Lucy several times on the phone before I went to the lounge. Once I was there I booked the date and left a cash deposit. Two days before the event Lucy calls me and tells me that they booked a party for over a hundred people and she can no longer accommodate me and my co workers. I asked Lucy was this party booked after I left my deposit, Lucy refused to answer my question. I told Lucy that I would be sending someone there with my deposit receipt to get our cash deposit back. Once my coworker got there to get the cash deposit back Lucy tried to give her a $100 gift card, my coworker refused the gift card and was eventually given a $100 cash back. I feel that this behavior was very unprofessional and I will NEVER GO TO VIVO LOUNGE AGAIN. I dont think Vivo Lounge deserves any stars from me, but its not letting me post my review if I dont give at least one star.
Cool spot. DJ played a variety of different songs. VIP section is cool, but drinks are a bit expensive. Overall a good place to enjoy some drinks on and hookah.
Only stopped by for a glass of whiskey but will have something to eat next time. Friendly and interesting bar maids and the way the place is decorated is interesting and original. I look forward to going back.
This place is over rated and over priced . They take the liberty of adding their own gratuity tip and the service was amateur at best.
Took my wifey out to tapas lounge this past weekend , everything was fantastic from the food coming out too perfection, the waiters and waitresses deserve an extra round of applause because they really went above and beyond even putting my food in the Fridge for me so that i may drink more , even when i asked someone who was not my waiter for a shot i was still treated me and my wife really well and always greeted with a smile. Thankyou vivo for making my weekend . Definitely will be back 🙏🏽
I ordered takeout and when I got home everything looked like leftovers. Even the soup Caldo Gallego tasting like Caldo Verde, the bread is defrosted bread, the place is a mess and dirty.
I’ve visited this restaurant multiple times, never disappointed not a single time, worth the money , delicious food, nice waitress and hostess, amazing drinks and place is clean and veery cozy , for a family diner or a meetup with friends. Just perfect! Very recommended. Try the nachos al vivo! very good!
I love this place!! Great food and a nice restaurant in the center of town. I asked for olives to go but they don’t normally have food to go, but the waiter made an exception!! Recommend his place ! Pau was a great service to us.
Food was very good! And sangria was good too! Beautiful bartenders and nice clean interior. Very good spot for long party night
Very nice spot in Newark drinks/food is good and service is great just wish they play more better music thats all like hip-hop/r&b/reggaeton/dancehall reggae more but everything else is good and the hookah good too
I brought my mom and sister out here for their birthday celebration the atmosphere was really nice the music wasnt too loud the staff was very accommodating and the food was great, but the food did take a long time thats the only downside other than that I really like this place.
The food was very good, we had the paella , NY steak, lamb and all was very very good also had the blue sangria very good. What I love most is the service this place get a double 5 star for good food and exceptional quality service.
The food was delicious and abundant, the staff was very friendly and efficient. My family and I went for my birthday celebration, and we will definately return.
Very nice, will be going back! The paella was delicious and our waiter was awesome! Its a small cozy spot however perfect!
I WANTED TO GAVE IT 0/5 CAUSE I NEED PEOPLE TO READ THIS BEFORE EVEN THINK TO COME TO THIS PLACE!!!! Horrible service, called in advance for a reservation on Father’s Day 6/20/21, when arrived was told that the reservation was never made... waited 30 minutes sitting at the table with no acknowledgement, no even a drink or bread offered... two families at other tables walked out of the restaurant... after a long waiting we decided to do the same, no one even noticed when we walked out...VERY VERY POOR MANAGEMENT, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, I’LL NEVER RETURN TO THIS RESTAURANT....NO EVEN A HOST AT THE DOOR , I’ll give it 0/4 stars Review!!!
They took 30min to bring 1 meal apart from each other . So my husband had his meal I had to wait 30 min to get mine. She said my meal comes with 2 sides and read the sides to me. Then charged me for the sides. She also had her face mask under her chin. And last the food was disgusting.
Don’t not recommend this place at all !! Drove an hr to have birthday dinner for a friend & seen one too many mice run across our feet !! Asked to speak to a manager & he just laughs !! He didn’t even come to our table and apologize for the inconvenience !!! Just nasty if you ask me !!!!!!!! I would give no stars if that was the option !!
Great atmosphere and friendly quality service. Food I excellent and a variety of drinks are available. 3 Thumbs up.👍👍👍
The food was good. The bartender was great. Good drinks. At 11PM, I was the only singer... so for you karaoke superstars... this is your place...
Excellent food. When I mean excellent thats exactly what I mean. Sometimes you wonder about the Groupon deals, but they made it like we were just a regular paying customer.
The staff allowed someone to make fradulent purchases on my bank card sometime after I closed out my tab the next day there was no apology and no explanation from the owner operators they said they would review video and call me I’m still waiting....Police report is filed with their local precinct I’ll never go back!!! Besides food & drinks their didn’t make an impression...
I have to admit, I am new to the area and underestimated NJ but for someone like me from NYC where nightlife is until 4am and 5am, I have to give this place a 5 star. Classy, Modern, Amazing drinks and good music.
The DJ Very disrespectful personDisrespect my friends wife the only reason i didnt kick hes ass was because new year eve celebrations. The owner super great person :) but place is too getto
Horrible...poor service. gambas for anyone who knows is prawns, which are big shrimp. Their version of prawns is regular shrimp apparently. Crab meat means sauce with bread crumb apparently. And the best part is that it was an appetizer that took 54 mins on a Wednesday night... Lol. Sangria was watered down, but whatever. The paella that took 45 mins was about an hour and a half. Again on a dead Wednesday night. No wonder their groupon has been up there for months, and to be honest you save about $8. Not worth it.
The servers were awesome!! It was my birthday and could not have had a better time.. Food was delicious!! The Bruno mars shots were crazy!!!
Waited an hour and a half for a sandwich I could have made at home. I wish I was exaggerating. Pastries taste like theyve been stored in the fridge over night, dont waste your time here.
A little pricey for dinner but the food was pretty good and the servers and waitresses were very nice.
Food was good but a little bit expensively. It also took so long to get. The waiters are nice though.
The food is decent. After 11 turns into a lounge. They have hookah and a DJ with good music.
Really good experience good drinks, food, music and with the new manager this place is awesome great service and good vibe place in the Iron bound area of Newark
The place itself is very fancy looking although the bench styled seat where we were seated was worn and teared off on the corner, food was ok but service was excellent, our bartender made the best mojitos.
We will launch our love it is a great club great drink great ribbon and German is a safe place where you can drink and have a good ti have a good time🙏🍺👮♂️😇🙏
I adore the courtesy and warm hospitality from the hostess & host.. always great service , with fun music and great vibes. Good place to wine & dine😊
Jessica is so sweet she’s great she made me and my gf the bulldog margarita and that was all we needed ! Thank you
Wayover priced, service was not good. And the food was not tgood. I don’t know how they stay in business. I will never go back.
I loved the vibe on 5 de Mayo. The DJ was killing it. The food was great. I definitely recommend this place
The atmosphere is very nice, brings a very deep Spanish culture and energy. Food choices looks and is very flavourful & the sangria is highly recommended.
First meal at a restaurant since March. As always VIVO didnt disappoint. Great service, great food. Always a pleasure to see Ariel.
Always a great time! Great food by day and awesome drinks by night, cozy lounge with many tables, themed nights, and fantastic service
Decent place and all but the karaoke with live band was too loud it made my head hurt. Also not a huge variety of liquor and beers but there is hookah if thats your thing.
I came here for the first time food is excellentI was welcomed right away and seatedService is top notchMy Remys were well ServedSecurity is top notchWaiter advised me about the loungeCame here with the wife and it was the best time i hadNot like other lounges where you see security removing customersBest lounge in newark
Great bar and great service along with an fun atmosphere. Come here if you want to have a fun time and some great drinks
This place has great staff that make sure all your needs are met and great food that will make sure youre satisfied with every bite.
Excellent atmosphere. The host and services were great
The food was all amazing! Wasnt sure what all of it was but the waiter explained it and was dead on! Very glad we stopped and ate there!!!!
Enjoyable and most friendly of places with a great service staff. The food is good n plenty of it. Worth stopping in.
They are freaking lairs. We paid $1400 for diamond package as per what they have published on Web and when we went their they said we have to wait till 12 mid night to go in. After a tuff fight we proved that they have not published it online. Finally they agrees. Fishing a** h***.
This place never fails. I visit atleast twice a year for their delicious paella and exquisite yummy tapas menu selections. Love, love, love !!!
Rice was under cooked. Waiter was rude...maybe cuz we used groupon. I have been here before and didnt have issues...
We stopped by in the late afternoon - a quiet time for VIVO. Beautifully decorated, excellent service and reasonable prices. The food is great and deserts were excellent.
Food is great but the service host and staff walk past you when you trying to get there attention and very disrespectful needs improvement in order for me to change my status ..
Beware of your bill. Make sure you ask for a detailed list because if I would have not checked they were charging me 140.00 more than I consumed.
Nice place, but the service is so bad. They even charge you $40 when you order a bottle and don’t let you until they give you the receipt. I don’t know if they can charge a service if they don’t advise before but i don’t think is kind from them to the clients.
Very nice place, I would say 3.5 star because my food came out last and incorrectly but, still good food and good vibes
Wonderful place... good food.. original... and the best thing is it turns into a dancing area after dark...
Good food, music, ambiance and menu selections. Also prices were reasonable. I would visit this place again
Authentic spanish vibes screams from this place. Sangria was just as good the food. The live music brought spanish flames to life with great flavour.
Monday night is Open Mic. Great food, great talent, and great drinks. The paella is amazing.
