From the moment you call and make the appointment, you feel truly valued and respected. Today I did the 60 min massage and facial special. I started with the facial with Meka and she was so kind, caring and compassionate. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and beautifulThen, my massage with Olivia. She took the time to get to know my needs and concerns then went above and beyond to address all of them. I had the most relaxing day of my life thanks to these two lovely women. I usually dont do reviews but I feel the need to, my last two facials with Mika have been fabulous. Her technique is something everyone needs to experience. When you have a 30 minute window and need a rejuvenating facial, I can not express how wonderful Mika Harris will make not just your face, but through neck and shoulder message, incredible! I have never been a big fan of facials. I have medical skin care doctors I report to on a semi annual visit; but there are NO words to describe the session I received. NO words to describe how Im hooked on receiving this service. I booked another facial in two weeks. Im excited to see if I receive the amazing result as I did this past Thursday.

Best Facial Ever!Mika at Face the day Salon & Spa gave me an amazing experience. So relaxing and calming and my skin positively glowed.The best part however, is the confidence she gave me. I was wearing heavy makeup. Mika told me that I had great skin and I did not need all that heavy makeup, she did not try to sell me products, and explained how I should apply the products I have. Because my skin has improved so much, I now only use a tinted moisturizer and a cream blush on my cheeks and lips, a little mascara and I am out the door. The freedom of this, knowing I look fresh and natural gave me the self-assurance that I did not have prior to meeting Mika and the skin treatments I received from her.

I am beyond pleased today. Mika provided an experience, not just her services. I instantly felt comfortable because of her pleasant demeanor. I’m highly impressed with Mika, I have had facials before in the past from other salons which was ok nothing I would keep coming back. I came in the salon to get my daughter hair extensions for her senior prom and Mika introduced herself to me and we had a really good long talk and she showed me the room she would be doing the facials in and what she can do for me and noticed I probably had hormones imbalance which I was like yes you are the first person to say that cause I had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 23. So I made my first appointment with her to see what she can do and what is different with her facial then anyone else.. I was amazed very relaxing. We talked a little bit on what I want out of this and then it was like a real spa treatment I got to close my eyes really relax and no small talk during the facial. When my first facial was over with Mika. I was so relaxed she explained to me what she can do for me. I now go every 4 weeks to Mika and my face has never looked so good. I will only have Mika do my facials. If you ever want to try a one of kind so relaxing and like a real spa treatment go see Mika.. I could keep going on and on just wow, amazing. Mika thank you so much for changing my mind about facials and really helping me feel and look better and being very honest with me and not just a sale pitch just to get me to buy stuff that won’t work on my skin. I will see you again in a few more weeks :) my advise to anyone go see Mika she is the sweetest person I have ever met.

Ive visited this spa twice, enjoying both the salon services with Joe and a facial from Mika. Both very professional and extremely skilled! I will definitely be a return customer and hope to try the spas message servers soon!

My daughter was scheduled for a teen facial with Mika and we thought we had to cancel it because two days before she had been to the beach and had a sunburn so bad on her face that she had blisters on her cheeks and brow. Mika said she could help and she did! She was able to bring down the inflammation of the skin by 50 percent!It was the first time we had met her. She was warm and personable. Milka sent us home with some free samples to help her face heal. Thank you Mika! We will be back!

Beyond expectations! I’ve had a few different massages, and salon experiences and I’d have to say that these people are at the top of the food chain. Beth did a wonderful job with my massage. She was thorough and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole experience. Heather was very nice and had a very positive vibe, which made my time here well worth the price. First time client with Face the Day and was very pleased with my experience from the moment I stepped in the door. I was promptly greeted and checked in and offered water before my appointment. Olivia provided one of the best massages I’ve had! She asked about my issues of concern, was very polite and offered me my choice of aroma for the room. Her technique was excellent and the tension I walked in with in my shoulders and neck were not there when I left. Definitely will be back to see Olivia soon.

Yalani was able to fit me on short notice and did a fantastic job waxing me! Everyone there was so sweet. Definitely recommend this place!

I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and respect for clients’ time displayed at this salon. In July I booked this salon for hair and makeup services for 6 bridesmaids, my mother, and myself for my November 4th wedding. I worked with the salon to schedule my hair and makeup trial for October 23rd at 9:00 AM. Everything was typical, I confirmed this appointment via their automated text message on October 21st. 10 minutes before the appointment was set to start, I received a call from the salon. The staff member informed me that due to ”‘unexpected staffing changes”, the salon would not be able to accommodate my wedding party the day of the wedding, thus a bridal hair and makeup trial was point less. I live in Hillsborough County. I had already driven an hour and 15 minutes to be last-minute cancelled on and my morning wasted. I had taken time off of work to attend this appointment, so I missed out on income. And I wasted gas. Its frustrating in these economic times to not have my time respected. I’m not sure what the customer services training or policies are at this salon, but they are severely lacking. The staff member apologized for the inconvenience, but honestly I feel like this is unacceptable. *I* had to ask for recommendations for alternative services, they didn’t have the wherewithal to have any suggestions prepared before this disappointing call. I have a hard time believing that they weren’t aware of this staffing issue earlier than 8:50 AM that day.Luckily I found and booked a lovely new hair and makeup team for my gals and myself! She has been so accommodating and empathetic to my situation, I really feel taken care of and seen 💜. We are all excited to work with this new provider who cares.Try your luck with Save The Day if you are in a gambling mood, I suppose.

The setting is in a beautiful historic Victorian. It is warm and inviting and the staff were very friendly and professional. Heather did my massage and facial, she was amazing! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Received wonderful service from the moment I entered. My stylist Gaby was very patient, a great listener and gave me a great cut and style. Her neck and shoulder massage after we talked really relaxed me.

First time visiting for a haircut and highlights. The appointment process was great. Since this was my first visit, a lot of questions were asked regarding my hair, previous coloring, etc. During the coloring process my stylist expressed that she wasn’t satisfied with the results and said that the salon had a 48 hr satisfaction policy. Since I was going out of town the following day I decided to hope for the best. The following week, I called stating that I was unhappy with the results. My hair looked no different AND I had more grey showing than before I went in. The young lady who answered the phone was very pleasant and appeared to listen and said she would get with the stylist and go over her upcoming schedule. She then said that they would call me back with a solution. It has been over two weeks since my original appointment and I have yet to hear from anyone. I usually don’t complain. But, given the fact that the stylist herself wasn’t pleased with the result, I would expect a follow up call or an apology and a solution to fix.I got neither.

Olivia gave the best massage. I almost fell asleep several times, I was so relaxed. She was professional and was effective in communicating the process, addressed any concerns, and worked her magic!The building was beautiful, and the massage room had a great ambiance. The aromas were incredible. The staff was incredibly friendly and polite overall. I will be back!

I hate to give bad reviews but one is very much needed for this salon. I came in as a first time customer and asked for long curtain bangs that framed my face. After numerous times later of asking for more angled bangs, the stylist and I still couldn’t get on the same page. I was eventually rushed out with semi wet hair still and choppy bangs that are not finished and are downright horrible. I am embarrassed how chunky that they are. I have had this happen to me before though so I am aware that my bangs were just not fully blended into my cut. I call the next day to ask for another stylist to fix my bangs and am told to come in free of charge. Half way into my 30 minute drive there I receive a call that unless I want to see the same stylist, I will have to pay $20 to have my bangs fixed! After spending almost $100 there the previous day. I explained that the original stylist and I could not get on the same page but was still told that there was nothing that could be done unless I saw the same stylist- again, the same one was not able to give me the bangs that I was asking for. The receptionist was extremely nice and helpful though. I will absolutely never be returning and would never recommend this place to anybody not only due to the poor cut but also the way that they handle unhappy customers who were given a bad service.

The week of March 13, I contacted Face the Day to schedule a 90-minute massage (with Olivia, who I had previously seen). My contact information was verified at that time (and we even discussed during that call that this business keeps records on its clients for many, many years back – as I had also received services at their former location). On March 16, I got a confirmation text for my appointment. On March 23, I got a second text asking me to confirm my appointment for March 25 – which also included a link to reply to. I replied to confirm my appoint, which was scheduled for 2 days later. On March 25, I arrived for my appointment only to be told that Olivia was out – and would be for the next week. The receptionist advised that they had been trying to call me but were unable to reach me or leave a voicemail. I informed her that I had no missed calls and asked her to verify the phone number they were using. The number she gave me was one that I have not used for over a decade. Apparently, the system that holds so much of their clients’ past information is useless when the staff can’t navigate it. I advised that I had 1) confirmed my contact number when I made the appointment, 2) received TWO confirmation texts and 3) replied to their own link confirming – from my contact number! I asked if they even looked for an alternate number and she shook her head and said, “probably not.” She did apologize and asked, sheepishly, if I wanted to rebook. I told her I had driven 30 minutes for an appointment, that I scheduled my entire day around, to find out that whoever tried to call didn’t even take the time to try and find (or use) an alternate number (the ACTUAL NUMBER THEY HAD CONTACTED ME AT TWICE PRIOR TO THE APPOINTMENT!). I left thinking I would at least get a call back from a manager with an apology (or even an offer of a discount for a future service, in order to try and retain a client). Nope! I have only ever left one bad Google review in my life, but the ineptness and lack of customer service combined here now leaves me writing two . . .

There is such a positive feeling here when you walk into the building! Smiling faces that go above and beyond. Reagan is especially kind and attentive to clients. Ive been using Face the Day for nearly 10 years and wont go elsewhere-- massages, facials, and hair are fabulous Services.

My friend got foils; Heather did a fabulous job, and Miranda gave me blackhead extractions and ALSO did a fabulous job. Dotty and her husband (Richard?) accommodated me in my transfer chair. Prices were very reasonable, and receptionist did a great job of fitting us in.

Place has an amazing tea. Front desk girls are lovely and efficient. Facials, waxing and Aveda hair nutrition mask are recommended. There is one hair dresser that is always very loud when being “funny” with her clients, sometimes is extremely inconvenient to clients around.

My girlfriend and me did the couples massage. I believe we had Beth and Olivia and they were incredible!! Everyone there was very accommodating and friendly. You are offered a couple different kinds of beverages when you arrive ( get the cucumber water, so good). Anyway, this was my very first massage and it will not be my last. I was extremely happy with the overall experience and it was a fun time for my lady and I. Gonna go back when it is her birthday and get the bigger packages they offer. I will say this, the building is VERY old and has a musty smell to it but it did not detract from the massage. It is just an observation I made. In fact part of the charm, for me anyway, is the layout of the building and how you have to go to the second floor for the treatment. It adds a very quaint and rustic feeling to the experience.

I went there a few days ago and had to ponder on my review. At first it was an excellent experience. Friendly receptionist over the phone, friendly staff when I arrived, and the hair dresser Alyssa was very nice and did a great cut! It was after that it went extremely down hill and I will definitely never be back. As soon as I declined to make another appointment the receptionist completely changed her attitude...even the hair dresser was like oh shes a 6-month-er, I gave her my card. Which couldve ended there with some giggles I pay and leave. Instead she glared at me and didnt respond to another word as I gave my excuse. I awkwardly pay the lady that took my card (she was nice and complemented my name). I apologize I cannot be a routine customer. I gave the rating because Alyssa still did a great job and the whole experience had great potential.

I just got a wash/cut/style from Reagan. She did an amazing job!!! She listened to my suggestions and answered all of my questions. She was also extremely patient with me and any concerns I did have at the time. Id rate my experience 10 🌟 if the ratings went that high. All of the staff are extremely nice & friendly as well. I will absolutely be returning to see Reagan again!!

Amazing experience! Their new building is beautifully remodeled inside and out. Decorated beautifully. All the staff was superb! Olivia gave the best massage ever and Alexis gave me fabulous facial and hair cut. Funny, im super picky about my hair but Alexis surpassed my expectations!

I have naturally curly hair, and both Nicki and Gabby at Face the Day have done a great job. Each time, I leave with a renewed bounce in my hair, and they plan for curl shrinkage well. They are both so friendly and personable, I always enjoy my appointments with them.

I arrived early and was greeted immediately and offered coffee, tea or water. Was there for a wash, trim and blow-dry. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the service came with a mini neck and shoulder massage. My wash also had a nice scalp massage. My trim was fine, not the best Ive ever had (my hair flips out if its not trimmed just right) but all in all a good experience.

Initially very pleased with this place. My son gave me a voucher for my birthday so I booked myself in for a spa pedicure and manicure. When I booked the appointment I asked if I could pay extra and have gel for my nails as it lasts longer. I was told yes that was fine, no mention that I could only have one or the other because of the time it took. So I ended up having the gel polish on my nails and not the spa manicure. Usually they last at least two weeks, mine started chipping and came off my thumb on day six. Unfortunately I was dealing with a very very sick pet cat at the time and didnt have the presence of mind to call the spa to let them know as I had far bigger things to worry about. Our cat passed away a week and a half later. My husband reminded 3 days after our cat passed that I needed to call the spa and let them know. Which I did. I didnt actually want anything, just for them to be aware. Anyway I had a message from Cynthia the manager left on my answer service. No empathy whatsoever, just a we ask people to ring when it happens do we can fix it. On this particular 20% of your next manicure. I know and understand that the proper thing would have been for me to call at the time, but my dying cat was just a little more important to me!!!So, the manicure and pedicure were okay. Customer care and treatment of a customer as an individual, with individual circumstances sucks!

The staff are so friendly and it seems homey inside. I get my hair cut there all the time by Carissa Cook and she does an amazing job! She knows how to cut my hair and bangs exactly how I want it. (Which has been very rare for me since no one else has been able to cut my bangs right). They also give a killer massage with essential oils thats super relaxing and smells amazing. Their pricing is reasonable and I will definitely continue going there and referring them to others. Btw, the restaurang underneath of them is amazing too! The food is amazing!!! (And they have THE BEST raspberry tea and lemonade). You have to give it a try!

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!I went to get my hair colored a specific look today and walked out with my hair looking exactly the same as when I went in. She colored my hair first, shampooed it and when I sat back down in the stylist chair with a wet head and a towel she told me she did not have the time to cut or blow dry my hair. I told her that was the whole reason I came here to have it colored’ cut and styled. I haven’t had a hair cut since covid started. After that another lady came to me and told me they couldn’t cut or blow dry my hair at this point I was getting upset now a third lady came and told me the same thing. I took off my cape and proceeded to just leave the manager stopped me at the elevator and told me that they didn’t have the time for me and she wanted me to pay. At this point I am standing by the elevator with my head soak and wet and not brushed just wanting to leave the manager insisted I pay I was so upset as I watch my hair stylist grab her other client and proceeded to take care of her. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK THERE AGAIN!!! My hair color also looks exactly the same as when I first showed up no change at all. If your gonna run a business then you need to take care of your client’s properly. I posted the first picture of what I wanted and the second picture is what I got which is what my hair looked like when I went in there no change at all. I was so excited to get a new style so disappointed. WORST PLACE EVER!!!!

It is so rare that I go to a salon. Recently, I moved to Ocala and wanted to get my hair recolored professionally. I was paired with Nicki as my stylist and oh man, shes amazing and sweet. The property, the service, and the staff are all so wonderful. I highly recommend it for anyone in the area who can afford shelling out a few extra bucks for quality.

My Husband and I had our annual Birthday Massage from Cindy and it was excellent. Cindy is amazing at what she does and she is so professional. If you are looking for the prefect gift to give someone special. I highly recommend a Face the Day gift certificate Your friends and family wont be disappointed.

I got a facial done here last week. It was supposed to be a regular facial with just a massage and a masque. My beautician said we usually dont do blackhead extraction with the regular facial but since you have them, I am just going to go grab a couple She proceeded to extract couple of blackheads on my left cheek and nose and it was painful. When I left, my left cheek was red. I told her my face is very sensitive. She still used so much force to extract my blackheads. The next day, my face hyperpigmented and I have TWO HUGE DARK SPOTS right under my left eye and they look horrible!!!! I have been using foundation on my face everyday. I went to get a facial to leave with a better face, not WORSE. So basically, I paid money AND tip for someone to damage my face! NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!!!

I had such a great time with my stylist Stormie! She was so fun and friendly! Such an awesome personality! I will definitely be a regular here! Highly recommended!

I’m a patient and understanding person, and I’m not angry about my experience just disappointed. I went here a total of 4 times for coloring and cutting services. Over my visits my cut and color were not what I asked for and my artist regularly misjudged her ability’s. My hair dresser revealed that she didn’t know her stuff, and through fixing her mistakes I’ve learnt a lot about hair color. She gave me directly incorrect information about my hair and how to achieve my goals. I’m not implying that all of the artists here are not correctly trained or are incompetent, simply that you should ask some questions before choosing a hair dresser at this location. I have been a long time Aveada client, but this experience after spending hundreds of dollars has left me feeling less trusting.

My wife was there to get haircut and wax. The haircut was great, thus the 2 stars. But, she had asked me to go with her for support due to first time getting waxed. When she was called back for waxing she was then told I could not go back, although we had previously mentioned that we were planning on my going back. While I was killing time waiting I called other places and they advised they would have no issue with a spouse in the same room. So if she decides to get waxed again we will choose another place.

Face the Day is ALWAYS welcoming no matter what Im wearing or what mood Im in. The atmosphere, the Staff, the Services are extraordinary. I will continue to recommend Face the Day to everyone! Melissa is, hands-down, the best masseuse Ive ever had in a lifetime of travels. Her skills, including an understanding of pressure points and anatomy, complement her healing hands. Face the Day Salon has a superstar on its hands (pun intended). I am a regular customer as a result.

My mother just came in to have her spa experience that my dad gave her for Christmas this morning. She has had stage 4 throat cancer and from the radiation treatments it left her with a cough that she can control with cough drops. As she was getting ready in the back they heard her cough and asked her to leave. She tried to explain to them why she had the cough. This cough is clearly clearing of her throat not a cough that someone with a chest cold would have. I am utterly disgusted and ashamed of how they treated her!!! Listen to the facts before you judge!!

Had a couples massage here previously & it was AHHH MAZING!!! Came back excited for a similar experience... very disappointed ☹️. Massage Friday & we both took Ibuprofen Sat & Sun due to being sore from the massage! I’ve had deep tissue, therapeutic massage... as a medical treatment. This was supposed to be a relaxing, enjoyable couples massage. Won’t be back!!

I wasted two gift cards on a facial, that instead of being the deep cleaning one I requested, was a pathetic attempt between aromatherapy and a semi-massage. The girl doing it had already put her notice to leave in, so I guess she didnt care about customer satisfaction.

I got a great haircut here once. I have used Aveda salons and products in different states over 20 years. I made a second appointment a month ahead so I could return to the same stylist. When I arrived I waited five minutes at the counter before anyone came out of the back room to ask what I wanted. They asked me to have a seat while I waited for the stylist. Another five minutes later a stylist came out from the back room and said cmon over. I said my appointment was with (name withheld). She said that person is not here. I asked that they have her (or someone) call me to reschedule with (name withheld) because she did a great job. No one called. I asked why no one called to ask if I wanted to keep the appointment with (name withheld) once they saw she had an appointment and was not going to be available. Today, I had some time today around 445 PM and the website says, open till 8. So I called to see if they had time for a walk in haircut and the woman said they were not busy so they were closing in a few minutes instead of staying open till 8 as advertised. Aveda is a great brand. This shop just makes it a challenge to be their regular customer. I went to Greatclips instead. I couldnt wait anymore for Aveda. Greatclips did a great job and thanked me for my business multiple times during my visit.

Usually good. But got a price shock this time. Raised price 20% without notice before they began. Just wanted $50 this time when it has been $40 for quite some time. Only told of increase after service. After complaint I was allowed the old price but told next time it would be $50. There wont be a next time. 20% increase in price but no increase in service, product or result.

I gifted my wife a 60 minute facial for her birthday and she loved it! There will be more in her future. The staff were fantastic and I got the brownie points with my sweetheart!

I have been coming here for years. I love the way they take customer care up a notch. I miss not having the opportunity to get nails done her. I get my massages and hair done here

THIS PLACE HAS A VERY HIGH TURN OVER RATE!Youd get a better experience at the local Walmart. Dotty is the worst business owner Ive ever meet. She has no prior knowledge when it comes to the hair industry. In my opinion she is poorly educated. She put Tiffany in charge of the hair department and that girl needs to ask the girls below her how to mix color and so on. I wouldnt recommend wearing anything nice if you do decide to go. As they are very sloppy when applying product. I knew a former employee who said Dotty would always hide from customers who were unhappy with the service and wanted to speak with her. This salon is the bottom of the barrel for an Aveda Salon.

Used to be the place to go. I dont know what happened, but I will not go back. My New stylist that I did NOT ask for, was nice enough, but sent me out looking like one of the Waynes world boys. Seriously, I just couldnt wait to get out of there. She kept asking what the stylist that I had previously would do?...so unprofessional, after getting home, I look like she foiled half of my head! Seriously... so disappointed. Save your money and do your research.

Love Olivia, she was awesome. Never done anything like this but she made it comfortable. Highly recommended. Only thing I didnt like was the elevator that because it didnt like me either. Lol staff is friends and high spririted.

Gabby c olored my hair and it is beauyiful. She was spot on with the color and shaping . Thank you Gabby for giving me the color I wanted and a beautiful style

Great place to come for a couples massage. They have a single room on the third floor where couples can get a 1hr massage together. Not very many places in Ocala offer that. They do maternity massages too. The second floor is a salon.

Wonderful salon with amazing staff!

I tried reaching out to them to set up an appointment while I was visiting. Not even one person answered that phone! Maybe in the future when I visit again Ill see if I can get a hold of anyone to make reservations and then Ill give my thoughts on the service.

I came across this place on google maps, and decided to call. Molly answered the call and when I told her what I wanted, she made it happen 2 days prior to my visit, which was amazing. The entire staff took great care of me and I only wish I lived closer so I could go back more often.I got a full package plus a wax, and it went so smoothly and was timed so perfectly, I highly recommend this place. Thank you ladies. My me day was a huge success, thanks only to you.

I have had massages in many salons. Heather and this massage beat them all! Even the ones in prestigious parts of the state! I will definitely return.
