This place was beautifulllll! We sat upstairs on the back deck which was right over the water.they play orchestra music at sunset and when the sun finally sets,it stops. It was amazing. The food was deliciousssss! Service was outstanding! It was a great time. Plenty of bars and inside seating as well but it was a beautiful experience.
Well worth it! Food (fine dining) and drinks were amazing. They do remove seating in the bar area after a certain time, and we had two women with us with disabilities, so that was a bit of a let-down. We managed to find seating outside near a fire pit, but since it was already hot out, having the fire pits active made it unbearably hot. A server was nice enough to turn it off for us, but we left shortly after. If Im ever back in the area Id visit again!
Cannot say enough good things about this place! The view from our table was beautiful, fun music playing in the background from a local band I’m assuming. The waitress was amazing! I wish i remembered her name. She was very knowledgeable of every menu item to a T! Attentive but not overbearing. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! Will definitely return any time I get the chance. 10/10!
It’s important to know that there is a difference between “fine dining “and the general restaurant. Fine dining requires a reservation, the menu is high end and the ambience is five star with white tablecloths and almost Greek islands feel. My husband and I went on a Sunday night in June, even though we had reservations, there was a lot of availability. Our server Beth, there 40 years was fantastic, the food was delicious and the views were amazing, be sure to bring your sunglasses!
The food and atmosphere were great. Our service was also perfect. Once we were seated. However, as the lady told me, the reservations are a rough estimate and booking for an 8 pm diner and expecting to be seated before the 8:52 sunset is cutting it close. Keep that in mind. Servers and food are awesome. Gray-haired Maitre D gets a D for being rude af. We made it in time and had an overall good experience. Im just giving an honest review so NON Locals have a heads up. I would do it again but book an earlier time.
We had a great experience dining in at Fagers Island. Service was good, our waiter Rad was on top of everything. We started off with calamari and Caesar salad. Calamari could’ve been fried a little bit more since I like extra crunchy but it was delicious with the sauce. The breading felt very light. The caesar salad was delicious and enough to share between me and my partner, Rad even had it separated on two plates so we didn’t have to make a mess doing it ourselves. The dressing was fantastic, tasted homemade rather than bottled. My boyfriend ordered the painkiller drink and it went done super smooth, the drinks are fantastic there. I ordered the surf and turf as my entree and the steak was cooked to perfection. The lobster was delicious. Both were 6oz. Rad was able to sub the red potatoes for mashed potatoes which were so creamy and seasoned. The veggies were a little cold but I’m going to assume they finished before everything else. My boyfriend ordered the Maryland crab tower special that was delicious, zero to no filler noticed. Seasoned very well. I will say the place can get very loud and it’s kind of dark after sunset but we’d definitely come again!
Reservations made for fine dining @ 7:15. We were seated right away at a wonderful table on 2nd story overlooking the bay. Party of 4 and all felt best 🦀 crabcake. Personally, ordered halibut which was catch of the day. We listened to 1812 Tchaikovskys Overture played daily at sunset and after dinner went to listen to band playing downstairs. Pricey dinners but definitely will go again!
This was my first time here and was disappointed, with the exception of the incredible view while eating at the bay as sunset grew near. The only thing this place going for it, is the atmosphere. Listening to a great band while having an amazing view almost makes up for the fact we couldnt order what we wanted. They have steamed shrimp and clams on the menu but cant serve them because the steamers were broken. Last year my couldnt order lobster for another reason I dont remember. Plus the service was absolutely dreadful. How do you go to place the calls itself fine dining and they dont give you silverware. They brought out my meal and gave me only a knife. I ended up walking to the bar asking for silverware and a napkin. Also what restaurant serves each persons meal 10 minutes after the other. Youd figure they would plan so the meals came out together. The steak wasnt bad but small and the lobster was even smaller. I could of ate the entire lobster in one bite and whatever fine dining sides came with my dinner was a joke. A few shredded carrots, some mushrooms and I guess brocolini, which is a stick with some broccoli like substance at the end of the stick, which had no flavor or substance. This wont be restaurant we will return to. But you can see the photo of our amazing view.
Had a delicious lunch here on July 5th. Service was quick and very nice for a busy holiday weekend. View is lovely from the air conditioned porch seating. We had a reservation for 6 and found two booths that made seating comfortable and conversation still possible.I had the crab melt, very nice.We started off with crab dip and coconut shrimp ( both yummy)I am glad I ordered what I did as the portions were large for the crab cake sandwich.I would recommend if you are looking for a great place to eat that is easy to get to and off the strip of zaniness that is OC!
We have been in OC for over 10 years and have never tried Fagers Fine Dining before now. It was my 50th birthday and they gave us a magnificent table. We had been doing a progressive dinner with small bites at each stop. This was our last stop for sunset. The food was amazing and the drinks were delicious. My fiancé picked it for one of my favorites escargot. The escargot was reminiscent of a Parisian cafe. Cest magnifique!!!! But the icing on the birthday cake was that view 😍 🌅
Tonight was my 4th time here in two years. I want it to be good. Sometimes there are great bands playing and the food is good. Consistently the service is less than stellar and young too cool girls that are not that interested in service or etiquette wait on you. The sunset and the multiple bars is a big draw. I find it a tourist trap and not worth me going. If you are going with children it is pretty pricey. Biggest problem poor help.
Food and service was amazing. We are in the fine dining room. Our server was amazing. Younger guy, laid back, all around cool guy. Great asset to your business! It was raining that day but overall the view of the water was beautiful.
This place, for what it is, is really the only game in town. Location on the water, sunset views from the large outdoor decks and gazebo are what make it. We have been several times and the food is good, not great. When they have a band it’s a lot of fun. Management should really train the service employees better. Many very young people with lack of social skills not to mention lack of skills for the job they’re doing. And not cheap.
Great MONDAY experience. Happy Hour - Nighttime...Had a great time. Food could have been better. Drinks could have been better...Great place to come with groups of friends. The music was amazing.Great place to have fun. Drinks and food should not be a focus point.
My daughter and I ate in fine dining for her birthday. We sat on the balcony, and the view was beautiful. Our waitress was so nice and very attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious and plentiful. We both took food home and a piece of cheesecake for dessert.Great dining experience.
I booked a reservation here to have our small wedding dinner for 11 people after our ceremony on the beach a few days ago. It was beautiful! Our waiter Rad was so nice and attentive! The decorations in the fine dining area on the 2nd floor were so pretty, and I really enjoyed that we had our own table in an elevated area above the rest of the dining area. Everyone enjoyed their food with no complaints!! Rad also cut our wedding cake for us. It was a very beautiful place to have a special occasion dinner. We will be back here in the future!!
The hidden treasureWaiting was around for 1 hour and that also on Saturday, within 10 minutes we got our table. The host or the manager was utter friendly and very polite we had a great time the whole staff was great. The food was very good and the restaurant was nice and clean. I would recommend to reserve a table for weekend dinners and live music lovers.Great outdoor seating with at least 60 Tables3 different restaurants and 2 live music bands were playing.Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy our last evening at Ocean City.
In the menu provided, the french dip was mentioned with caramelized onions and mushrooms, and as you can see, I only got meat and cheese [star taken]. Same for the burgers, no tomatoes, no onions, no sauce, unlike the menu. And burger meat was so bad you can even see it in the photos.[star taken]. Our server was good. The crab dip was good.
Going there for 40 years. Still great, romantic, powerful atmosphere. Young waitress Nikki was very nice, and professional, food came out fast, fresh and good as always. The young hostess gave us great seats on the water. Best of the best. Prices are fair. They have a golf cart shuttle service, to accommodate the over crowding. I got lucky because it was on a Tuesday. Weekends are verrrrry crowded, so try to go early in the day. I recommend just park your car and walk over the short, small walkway bridge. Not recommend for the elderly or handicap. Mike Hayes Baltimore/ North East, Md/Ocean City, Md.
We were about 12 to celebrate my birthday. We had drinks outside, at the outside bar. The layout of the restaurant is superb. Several bars, some outdoors, others in. We had dinner in the fine dining restaurant, and honestly, it WAS fine dining. The food was much better than expected. And the service was excellent!
First visited here Monday, then again tonight and both visits were awesome! We had the Prime rib, Ny strip, and the Crispy duckling. So yummy, perfectly prepared and plated. I’m loving my ocean city, MD visit thus far and will definitely return. Bartenders are cool and funny and tonight with Oliver, he was a great surprise as he recently returned from vacation at a location I’m heading to next week internationally!!He made me even more excited about my upcoming trip and gave great recommendations!! This is a definite must visit when in the area for sure.$$$
My family and I came to Fager’s Island expecting a nice meal along the bay while on vacation. The waitstaff did not meat that expectation in the slightest. Our waiter, Parker, was inattentive and not personable. We received the impression that he’d rather be somewhere else. To start, we waited over 10 minutes to be greeted and served our drinks. Another family waited that same amount of time and chose to leave. Our food came out at varying times, with 3 dishes taking 10 minutes to prepare and the other 3 almost 20. For the price, the portions weren’t enough. Most of our dishes ranged in prices from 24-45 dollars. We were expecting filled plates and instead felt as if we were cut short. Additionally, the crabcakes were dry and sent back, of which cost 43 dollars. Between the poor service and small portions, you’re better off spending an evening somewhere else.
Took a chance going here, as were new to the area. Talk about great luck ! Restaurant is so fun ! Great outdoor dockside dining....big huge open air bar & patio area. The staff is very professional, and theyre all so nice. The food was amazing.... every dish perfect. The lobster tail was cooked to perfection, & huge ! The drinks, desserts ... everything was delicious. Served in a timely manner, but we were Never rushed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant !!!
Fantastic fine dining area with perfectly prepared dishes. The bar area is a rowdy good time, as well. They keep the two areas separated well, so one atmosphere does not intrude on the other. The views of the bay are amazing. They even provide shuttles to and from the parking lot. Just a wonderful place to go.
Great experience. We had light fare and then enjoyed the live band and dancing by the water. Cool, laid-back crowd. Not too much like the other well-known Ocean City spot down the street.
My family chose this restaurant after my mini wedding ceremony and I could not have asked for a better choice! I believe there were roughly 20 people in our party and the restaurant staff were so friendly and accommodating for us. They even set up a table for the cake that my MIL brought and a bride/groom table. The food was absolutely PHENOMENOL. I had the crab soup for an appetizer (though it could be a meal on its own) and it was by far the best cream of crab soup I have ever had. The crab cakes also had lump crab meat with very little filler. Drinks were fantastic. If you are looking for a place to go eat, I strongly recommend Fagers Island! 10 out of 10 experience and one I will forever remember and cherish.
Food was great. Service not so much. We were never told about specials and didnt know about them until overhearing our server telling two other tables. My husband has to continuously finding the server for refill of our soda. Our food was served but my food wasnt what I ordered. So while waiting for my meal he was almost done with his. We felt like outcasts and we were very patient. And to spend over $150.00. I could go on and on. But wont!
Had dinner with such a beautiful view! There was a big group of us, so to start off we got a few appetizers to share. Our choice of appetizers included the cream of crab soup, bacon wrapped bbq shrimp, raw oysters, and the shrimp cocktail. The appetizers came in very small quantity plus it was pricey for each dish, it contributed to the lost of a star; just because we had a large group and there wasn’t enough for everyone to try so we had to order double. Shrimp cocktail was alright, highly recommend the cream of crab soup and the bacon wrapped shrimp! For our entrees, I only took photos of my boyfriend’s meal and mine. Didn’t want to be rude and make our friends wait to eat! Boyfriend got the Maryland’s Style Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and I got the Steak and Cake! Steak was very tender and soft but lack of taste. The crab cakes were very delicious!! The vegetables on the side was also bland but the mashed potatoes was good! Few of our friends got the surf and turf and said it was very good. Another set of our friends got meals from the “All Day Lite Fare” such as the Char-Grilled burger and Jerk Chicken BLT since they are not a huge fan of seafood. The ratings I got for those weren’t the best. They said the chicken was really dry and burger was alright. Overall, I say 3.5/5 due to the lack of flavor in the vegetables and my streak, the small quantity of the appetizers and the meals from the “all day lite fare menu.” Definitely do try the fine dining part of the menu if you go, expensive but worth the money!!
I absolutely adored our server I believe her name was Natalie. The view is amazing The music is fantastic. The only thing that My table disliked was the crab dip. But everything else was very good.
Dont believe the fine dining hype. Management is slipping here. What youre paying for here is the view of the bay. If youre looking for fine dining, look elsewhere. The ahi tuna was delicious but they completely missed on the Caesar salad. Ive had better Caeser that was from the cooler at Costco. Beverages sat empty. Steak was over done. One in our party of nine wanted to order off the lite fare menu and we were told they could not serve us, but they offered to move our entire party to lite fare dining room. Completely disappointing dining experience.
This a place Ive loved to come for years while on vacation , so I was excited to bring friends for their first time . Food , atmosphere , setting and friendliness of the staff were the wow Ive come to expect however , I have to say that service was not quite on point for the fine dining establishment that is Fagers. Had to ask several times for a missing napkin , a bus person whisked away an unfinished entree that was supposed to be boxed up and a comped dessert for that error never materialized. Did it ruin the evening ? Not at all but it was disappointing to see those slips in usually outstanding service. Im sure they are shorthanded as is the entire industry . Lovely sunset and the 1812 to enjoy our drinks and excellent seafood. Still a wonderful place !Recommend : The catch of the day ( amazing preparation !) , the scallop entree and the crab cakes . Extensive wine list is a plus . Cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake were wonderful .
Went there this weekend with my girls friends family. I got a steak and cake (medium rare for the steak) with oyster and seabass with rice.Waiter took our orders. Everything was fine until here, Minutes later back again and asked what we had ordered. He brings out the food my steak is well done. I call him back and tell him. “Hey, this steak is over cooked” he apologizes and offer to bring another one “I tell him no worries I understand you guys are busy”.He brought out the same steak again almost burnt. Some completely ignored the temp of food the first time and the second time did the complete opposite of what I asked.Went to the manager I told him what happened. I said I don’t want to make a scene in front of my girl friends and her family but they need to work on communication in the back of the house. After all that we go the bar my girl friend asked for a drink forgot to give her the drink and when we reminded him he gives her the wrong drink.NEVER GOING AGAIN
We got the last seat in the house at 7:30 on a Tuesday night with a line behind us. The atmosphere was of a really nice bar with a huge dining room. We choose from their fine dining menu which was definitely pricey but in the end we agreed the food was worth the splurge even though service was stretched thin making our party of two seemingly disappear. Overall a great meal and a great night out!
We had a party of ten. We were told 45 minutes which very quickly turned into a two hour wait. For my dinner I ordered the Scallops dish, which to my surprise came with a scoop of lobster risotto, 4 scallops and a handful of arugula for $55! I immediately returned the dish and said for these “fine dining” meals you could at least give a decent portion. I asked for the surf and turf instead and then had to rush to eat my food because the table was already finished. Between the long wait, expensive drinks and food, I would not be back.
Best spot in Ocean city MD to see the sunset have great food and live music all under one venue. Theres also a fine dining side if you prefer to sit down at tablecloth and have more private and better full service dinner. We always hit the bar side which is the best bet to avoid the wait time in summer.
Popped into Fagers Island for happy hour to have a beverage and some food items off of the before 5:00 PM menu. The food was absolutely outstanding and I was taken back with the phenomenal presentation for each...truly five star for appetizers and small plates! The staff was outstanding and very attentative and wanted to ensure that I had an exceptional dining experience. For entertainment, they have the best bands playing live music which enhances the Fager experience and makes memories for a life time. Oh, Island threads at the front of Fagers has absolutely fabulous T-Shirts, Hoodies, and hats and whole lot more...stop in and pick up some Fagers gear! Fagers is a definetly must do when in Ocean City and I highly recommend everyone give them a try, you wont be disappointed!
A nice local event, restaurant and bar. The staff were friendly. The food was delicious. The views were absolutely amazing. Fager’s Island is located one street over from the Marriott Residence Inn, and is a very easy walk. We went for lunch and drinks and sat at the bar. Even though we were there in March (way before the start of their tourist season) they were very accommodating. I would recommend you give them a shot.
My ever first time here and I had the pleasure to have as my bartender Jeff, there’s nothing else you can ask for, he’s Amazing, the quality of service, it’s beyond, always smiling,He made me feel so valuable we are a group of 9 people and we all loved him definitely coming back for Jeff thank you so much for your such an amazing experience!!!! You’re so nice you’re so kind I’m so happy we love youuuuuu!!!
I loved everything about this place. The staff was excellent. Our hostess Aliyah was terrific and our server Ashley was a Rock Star!My wife and I enjoyed the scallops, house salad and the Crab Cakes as well as the Creme Brulee for dessert! We ate outside and enjoyed the Million Dollar view! We also enjoyed the live music inside.I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely go back!
We love it here BUT THE MUSIC AND THE DJS EVERY TIME DO NOT TICKLE OUR FANCY. THE MUSIC IS FROM THE 80S MAYBE THE 70S THE DJ HE ASKED TO MIX IN 70S 80S AND 90S IT’S A TOTAL VIBE KILLER LIKE SOMETIMES WE’RE HERE AND WE’RE HAVING A GOOD TIME AND WE’RE DANCING IN THE NEXT SONG IS FROM 1960 LIKE MAYBE THEY SHOULD GET UP-TO-DATE ON ENTERTAINMENT IN A MODERN CLUB ERA
We were a party of 8 with advance reservations for fine dining. All started well as we were seated promptly in a nice location. The bread brought to our table was delish and the starters and mixed drinks were good. Our first issue arose when one of our drink orders was completely missed (we never ended up receiving it at all). Then, our steaks were brought out, three medium rares and two medium wells. The medium rares were great, but one of the medium wells came out even rarer than the medium rares (pretty much blue rare given the super super red center). Our server had the person who received the steak put the steak on *someone else’s* used and dirty appetizer plate and brought it back to the kitchen. The rest of had finished eating when finally the steak was brought back. It was the same steak thrown back on the grill and it was absolutely charred beyond recognition. Not even well done, she couldn’t get her knife through the outer charred crust of the thing. The steaks for everyone else were fine (nothing to write home about). The crab cakes were some of the best we’ve ever had. The mozzarella app and crab soup were both yummy. But the fact that one member of our party couldn’t even eat meant we didn’t stay for dessert as we had to go get her food elsewhere. It put a huge damper on a birthday / last night of vacation dinner.
This was our first time so we made reservations to ensure we got in worry free. Asked the hostess to seat us with the best view for sunset. We were lead to the enclosed bay room, which had a strange smell. It might had been a guest or something. We had a very nice waitress who knew all the specials for the day. We got calamari for appetizer, the catch of the day (halibut), and the blue cheese crusted aged angus steak. Everything tasted amazing. Love the attention to detail like the lemon cloth with seasoning and little chocolates at the end of the meal. My steak was cooked perfectly to medium and husband’s fish was super tasty and the crab meat was sweet. All together, it was a great time and we will come back. The only downside for us was the weird music that they play for sunset. It’s odd, like orchestral play music? Maybe one suggestion would be to switch that up because it was just weird. Great food, drinks were very tasty, and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend.
We love this place! On Monday we did the (I Love Mondays) Deck Party! It was such a great time! Lots of music, dancing. Just all around such a great time we loved it. Right on the water views it was such a great time! We liked it so much that we did the fine dining later in the week. Let me tell you that food is spectacular! The service was wonderful. We did reservations for the top floor looking out on the water and we had a beautiful view and sunset. This place was so great for night life and fine dinning, they have it all!! We will be back next time we are in Ocean City.
UNFRIENDLY TO FOREIGNERSAfter ordering drinks, the waiter asked for our IDs to verify our age. My boyfriends ID was accepted without issue, but mine was declined. Waiter insisted that I provide my passport, which I did not have with me.While I understand the need to follow legal requirements, the manner in which the staff handled the situation was very unprofessional and with no empathy. The waiter did not even bother to apologise for inconvenience or suggest any other alternative. Left and came back with my boyfriend’s cocktail and still haven’t asked if I want any nonalcoholic drink. This is how lady is treated in a restaurant.I was left feeling very unwelcome. This completely ruined my mood for the entire evening.
Very cool place. Its not an island but its a restaurant, bar, club and store on a little barge over a bridge in a great spot on the bay just over the 90 bridge. Similar to Seacrets. Good drinks, 10 bucks each! Not bad. Food is good. At night, its probably cool but nice spot during the day in the sun and on the water.
Lovely outdoor eating experience. Really enjoyed the view of the bay. They even have partial glass up to shield out excessive wind but it lets the breeze through.Food is good, plentiful and comes out quickly. Staff is friendly and attentive. Options are easy to customize. Drinks a bit heavy.Came for a birthday celebration and would come again for the after 5 menu and the entertainment.
Excellent atmosphere! Definitely go for the sunsets; Absolutely Spectacular! Be sure to have Celeste make your drinks; She is a Phenomenal Bartender who is extremely personable with an Inviting smile and upbeat attitude! She the bomb and such an Asset to the establishment!!
Food was ok, quality was great but portions were mediocre, felt like they didn’t give enough sides for the amount they charge no matter what you order, was busy and the waitress was great, but the price was insane for what they offer.Fine dining is an experience that should be enjoyed in every aspect, but this place feels more of a novelty than a great restaurant. At least everything was cooked well.
Sitting out on the water was such a relaxing experience. The party boats went by as the sun was shimmering on the surface. The crooner singing Frank Sinatra. Excellent food and the wait staff was on top of things. I love when my drink is refilled without me asking. Thats someone who is on top of things and gets a well deserved tip.
Food was great, views was great. However, the wait staffs attitude towards or child was terrible, and as a result we wont be going back. First, they messed up the reservation.. i had asked for 8 adults and 1 infant, and they only did 8 adults, and upon arrival told us to make sure to include kids in the reservations in the future... which I actually did, and that was an error on their part.. After being seated, the server was rolling her eyes, she was sighing loudly when our little 18month boy was being a bit loud...its not like we let him run around in the dining hall. We were actually cognizant of it, and actually took him outside the dining hall to the back deck several times as a courtesy to the other patrons..we were also constantly engaged with him, and honestly, he wasnt even that bad.. If the restaurant doesnt want toddlers being toddlers, they should operate as an adult restaurant rather than a family restaurant.. And we would have appreciated direct transparent communication if other diners had expressed frustration, rather than passive aggressive gestures.
The food here is pretty good but pricey. Last year their wings tasted much better. This time around they were way too salty. My husband enjoyed his Cuban tacos and crab dip. We were here the day after Labor Day but the place was packed. We didn’t care for the band much but other patrons seemed to be enjoying them. It wasn’t our taste in music. Last year the reggae band was very good and we had a good time. It would be nice if they had an oldies night for a mature and diverse crowd but I’m not sure that will happen. From the looks of their entertainment calendar I don’t think they are interested in that type of music but time will tell. We dined and left. No desire to stay after dinner.
Read that this was an amazing place for dinner at sunset. The views for sunset are amazing and I’d recommend going for a cocktail and sunset. We tried the crab dip but could not eat it. Very soupy with too much of a creamy texture and bitter aftertaste. It was served with an avocado tortilla chip which were just ew. We sent that back and got the calamari which was okay, edible but just okay. Go for sunset and a drink, skip the food.
Wonderful fine dining with great views and even better service. The food was excellent. After dinner you can stop by the live music area and dance away all those newly acquired calories. The band we saw was terrific!
Awesome place to have dinner on our date night. We had to wait for a table because it was full but it was worth the wait. We got a table outside and the sunset view was beautiful and food and drinks were delicious. Its on the pricier side but we really enjoyed everything. Definitely would go back when were in Ocean City again.
GIRLS STAY AWAY! This place is not safe for women. Someone slipped a pill into my friend’s drink and the whole staff was not equipped to deal with it. They did not help us at all. One of the bartenders said that “this bar has the most beautiful woman so it makes sense someone tried to roofie you.” The impression the staff and security gave me was that they thought we were being dramatic. Thank god my friend saw the pill in her drink after she took a single sip. It honestly makes me so upset that the only thing I could do was write this review and tell the other women around us to check their drinks. Absolutely appalling. Be safe out there girls.
Not a place to go if you have a toddler.Hostess and the server were both so annoyed because 18 month old was being 18 month old where he would cry or scream occasionally as he couldn’t express himself through his words! He wasn’t screaming or crying the whole time. We took turns and took him outside to give him a break. We could visibly see the sever make faces. We spent almost $600 and left a good tip! Please provide a section for families with babies!Very disappointed!
They overcharged me with more than a $ 200 difference, I went in at 11:30 pm and left at 12 something last Tuesday, August 5 and I have been trying to contact them but they keep sending me in loops. What is ironic is they still keep adding on the charge. They are robbing me letrely. I advice having your receipt if you decided to go their and don’t through till charge posted cuz your are not safe till it out of their hands or pay cash.
This is by far THE BEST restaurant in OC. Everything was incredible. A large selection of drinks, a big bar inside. Tons of outside seating. Before we even got to our table, they have a golf cart able to drive around the property. Outside before sitting they also had an outside bar to get a few drinks while waiting, and a gift shop! (Which I bought a shirt after eating). Our waitress was phenomenal, very attentive, knew the menu and gave us great selections. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, with green beans and rice pilaf. Oysters topped with cheese and prosciutto. Others in my party got a lobster tail and crab cakes. For the appetizer we ordered the crab dip. Everything was amazing and came out correct how it was ordered. The outside seats also have an amazing view of the bay. They have a light show of some sort apparently in the evenings.
Very unique place. Different restaurants bars all together in one place with live music! We ate at the fine dining restaurant. It is very beautiful with large windows overlooking the bay. We first ordered the N.O. BBQ Shrimp, and being from New Orleans I didn’t have high expectations but they were wonderful! The only issue is that you get THREE shrimp for $25. I know food costs have gone up but that seemed a bit extreme. Our entrees were ok. I got the Chilean Seabass, the sauce is very sweet reminded me of an Asian chili sauce you get in a bottle. My husband got the filet. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly just lacking in seasoning. For a party of 4 our bill was $300 with tip. With only 2 glasses of wine. With so many restaurants in the area I believe we could have had the same quality food with better prices.
Our waiter was Daniel, and he was awesome! The food was amazing, very good. It was my moms birthday and she got a chocolate moose cake and she loved it! Everyone was so friendly. We definitely will be going back!
I choose Fager’s every time! The music and atmosphere is the best in OC, hands down! I’ve given another major club in the area a chance a few times and every time I ended up coming here and wishing I’d come sooner. From now on this will be my first and only choice for nightlife.
My family and I went to Fager’s Island for dinner tonight. It is my husbands favorite restaurant in Ocean City and he was excited to take my parents there. Hostess was great, very friendly seated us very quickly. The table was outside which we requested and to be fair it was busy, which we all understood. We waited and waited, watched servers walk by us multiple times. My son was getting cold so my husband drove him back to our condo on 28th street to get pants and a jacket….still no service. We watched people seated after us have get a warm introduction and drinks. We were the only family still waiting for someone to even say Hi. My husband came back with our son and we still hadn’t been acknowledged. We decided to leave and speak with a manager. He came out immediately apologized and said “I know why you didnt get service and I’m embarrassed and apologize for it.” Did I mention we are a black and Asian family. So he says he could move us to a different section of the restaurant I guess the servers in the new section wait on POC. Why would I ever want to spend my money in a red where the servers are allowed to pick and choose who they wait on based by the color of your skin. I would strongly encourage POC to spend your money somewhere else because they clearly don’t want to wait on any black or brown people. Absolute worst experience I have had in Ocean City and I will never step foot at Fager’s island again!
Im not a fine dinning kind of guy. I felt more at home in the bar area. That being said the wait staff was great and the food was top notch. Four of the six of us had the prime rib and were not disappointedNo pictures when you are with the guys
Great food, friendly service, and awesome atmosphere!! The catch of the day was halibut..delicious!! My friend was performing there and his band was AWESOME!!
Relatively expensive compared to other restaurants in the vicinity. And the taste was also not upto the mark. Server was super nice and friendly person, but the food and the price tag it came with makes this a 3 star place. They do have a shelter where you get to feel the breeze, which makes for a good photo taking experience
Don’t come here if you have an out of state license. We had a yearly vacation planned for Ocean City and had friends fly in from out of state for our trip. When we went to get into Fager’s, our friend from PA gave them her ID to be checked, only for him to take it for 10 minutes and say he couldn’t verify the ID and that we were denied entry. Keep in mind, the ID is not expired and horizontal.Oh, and we are all 29 or older. What a devastating and embarrassing happenstance for our friends who took the time to travel and for us Marylanders to even try and show them Fager’s at all. We will not be returning.
I was down in Ocean City two times this summer and went to this restaurant three times because it is awesome the food is perfect the drinks are wonderful and the service is impeccable best place to go for dinner the price is worth it
Got two drinks of titos and water, came to about $24, no biggie. Went to a different bartender and was charged $43.90 FOR THE SAME TWO DRINKS! I questioned why the price was SO much especially when I JUST got them for half the price. The bartender wasnt sure and instead reprinted the receipt as if I didnt understand. Like sir, I know the price you told me but never, NEVER in my life did I pay $43.90 for two, TWO drinks... absolutely insane. No consistency.
So good. Lemme give yall a break down because I couldnt find everything on google before I came but it was a great experience. They had a cover fee of $15. Really great for all they have going on. Big space, dj, great cover band. The songs were really good too. The band killed it. Loved the lizzo cover 🙌. I think i payed $16 for a Long Island ice tea which i feel like is standard. You can step outside for some fresh air and even hang out by the water right outside the bar area. The crowd was a great mix- id say mostly young adults. Good party vibes.
It was my first fine dining experience, and they made me feel great about being there. My waiter was amazing and such a nice guy who deserves a raise! 🙌 I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to experience great food and great people. 😋 He recommended the ribeye that was the chefs special, and it was the best ribeye I ever had. 🥩 I highly recommend this place! #FoodieHeaven #AmazingService #RibeyePerfection
Came from jersey to get some fresh oysters from here. All I wanted was oysters, Was told they dont do oysters till after 5. Why put the oysters on lunch menu then. If you want oysters from a seafood spot, dont come here as they dont offer that even thought they are feet from water.
Honestly have never been so repulsed by the way a bar/business blatantly thinks it’s ok to scam paying customers.Waited in line to get in last night, the cover was originally $20, the bouncer walked through telling everyone the cover is now $30. Ok, whatever. As we get through “security”, the cover then was $40! That is honestly disgusting, considering how much people pay for drinks to begin with. $200 for 5 people just to WALK IN to a bar is truly comical. Scamming customers at its finest. Will never be back.
My now wife and I came back with our 3 year old. Last time we came as boyfriend/girlfriend about 8-9 years ago. We will be coming to OCMD more often and visiting Fagers every time. The food was great. My wife ordered the Surf and Turf which was very good but I had the Scallops Nantucket which ended up on my wifes end of the table LOL. For dessert we ordered which I believe was called Lemon Lust(some type of cake/or pie). All I know is that we ate every bite. We enjoyed our dinner and of course taking pictures under the Gazebo afterwards which has the nice Bay as your back drop lol. Definitely recommend!!!
10/2016Ate here in the fine dining area and the food was excellent, although overpriced with small portions. Service was just average. The blueberry cake was delicious.Update 06/22/17This visit was much more impressive and memorable. Ate on the light fair side and was much more impressed by the entree choice selection as well as the prices. Desert options were also out of this world. Our service was also much improved this time. Will almost certainly be back.
Worst service I have ever had. Walked in and barely got acknowledged. Then we asked to move to another table and got the worst attitude from the waitress we walked right up and left without ordering anything. I’d give 0 stars if I could.
The food was spectacular! we had dinner in the fine dining area right at sundown the view was absolutely stunning! Also the staff was very friendly and our waiter was knowledgeable and very polite. I would recommend this place for any couple who wants a romantic dinner or just check it out its a must 10/10
Best outdoor casual dinner with teenagers. Very large portions and very tasty. Thanks for a beautiful dinner and sunset view😎 and we loved the sunset music 🎶
Everything here was really good. We sat on the deck. Service was great. We were there with a party of 28 and they did a very good job. Food was very good.
Exceptional quality at an affordable price. We went to celebrate our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The experience was superb, with a view overlooking the bay and very friendly staff, I felt right at home as soon as I walked in.Started with the bbq bacon wrapped shrimp, a painkiller and a pina colada, all delicious. And then we moved on to some surf and turf, also equally wonderful down to the last bite. For desert, some coffee and banana pecan cake with a caramel rum sauce, a perfect way to end a great meal. Would highly recommend, this is an ideal locale for a romantic evening in Ocean City.
Great atmosphere and cant beat the sunset on the deck. Bartenders are top notch and very attentive. Def a place to see while in OC.
Arrived by OC hopper to back deck of Fagers. Loud party atmosphere, beautiful tropical trees and plants. The service was excellent! Didn’t wait but minutes for drinks and not long for food. The caprese appetizer was heavy on Baruta and light on tomato’s and 2 tiny pieces of bread. The salmon salad with blueberries, avocado, lemon and granola was delicious and large portion. My friend enjoyed the crabcake. I started with skinny grapefruit crush and moved onto henrick and soda water. The drinks are heavy on ice. Such a fun night! Will go back!
Weird vibe, a woman sat in the men’s bathroom and watched men pee at the urinals and nothing was done about it, like it was routine. Food was good but it was just a weird place.
Amazing dinner, service, & atmosphere! Dinner was delicious, steaks perfectly cooked. Drinks were amazing! Espresso Martinis & Mojitos for us! Surf & Turf is a classic dish done perfectly. We cannot wait to come back during our next vacation! Not to mention how fun the bar downstairs is as well! & BACHELORETTES LISTEN UP! The Scavenger Hunt!!! AMAZING!!!! So much fun for my girls & I to do! We loved our night at Fager’s! Best place in OCMD!
Aside from the fact that the waitresses were horrible to each other, and that our food came out at completely different times, the most horrific thing was that there were flies everywhere inside while we were eating to the point that we couldn’t continue eating our meals. The health department would have a field day in this place. We will never go back.
I have celebrated my anniversary here two years in a row, it was so good we came back! The hotels have the best made beds I have ever slept on! The jacuzzi rooms are wonderful! Its a little pricy but well worth It for everything you get, and they also have room service. The views on the bay side are gorgeous and the lighthouse lights up at night! The restaurant is also well worth checking out. I would highly recommend this place to any couples seeking a getaway!
Their way or the highway: Not everyone can consume regular portions of a meal. I requested just a cup of the crab soup rather than a bowl and was told it only comes in a bowl. I asked if the manager could make an exception in my case in that I would not be able to consume a bowl quantity and would just have to discard much of it. The answer was firm: We do not have cups !Even McDonalds allows the customer to Have it your way. With all of the competition for restaurants in Ocean City MD, you would think most would try to be accommodating .
This place has a great view of the sunset. However the restaurant touted as fine dining was noisy. The service was rushed, dinner arriving before we finished our appetizers. We had to track down our wait staff to get our wine we ordered when we arrived when it had not been served and dinner had arrived. The food was good but is a little pricey. I wouldnt go back, there better places to see the sunset.
We stayed at Fagers Island for 4 days over or 10th wedding anniversary weekend and loved every minute in our suite, the location, the views, etc. It was very relaxing and away from the noise. We had a fine dining reservation on our anniversary and they did accommodate our request for an upstairs table with a view, which was appreciated. The food and service were just ok, nothing spectacular, very small portions and the food was way overpriced for what we got. We consider ourselves foodies and I would not recommend fine dining here. I would go back to stay, but I would not return for fine dining. There are many other restaurants in the area to choose from where you can have great views AND great food.
Great location and ambience.... good service. they had half price appetizers so we ordered drinks and appetizers, cocktails were not great but good enough. clamari, clams, chicken liver, bacon shrimp and Salmon with cocktails orange crush, pain killer and mule. good ambience and location. worth visiting.
The ambiance is beautiful especially at sunset. We did ask for a table with a nice view and they gave us one which I appreciated. But the food was just...basic, especially for what you pay. I completely understand fine dining is smaller portions, higher prices and an overall different experience but this just did not meet up to what was expected. Part of the issue was definitely the bottle of wine we purchased that was made for Fagers Island as it was bitter and very cheap tasting. Maybe we will try it again but not the fine dining area.
They play the 1812 Overture to the setting sun, and times it perfectly to end right as the last light disappears over the hilly horizon.
A great place that we include as a must visit when we come to OC.Our visit was during Easter week, non peak season.Sitting tucked away, Fagers Island is like a hidden gem on the bayside waterfront.Facility - please be aware that FI has two actual dining facilities, (1) open seating, and (2) Fine Dining seating (after 5pm).Parking - Earlier you get there, the better the parking.Reservations - off peak season, they were not preferred, as we just walked in or arrived before 5pm. For peak season, highly recommend making reservations days in advance.Menu - Attached. Please note they offer two (2) menus, one for open seating available all day, and another for Fine Dining (after 5pm). They offer a great assortment of food and desserts on both menus. They don’t have a kids menu, but our kids ate off the adult menu (appetizers and salads).Set up - Again, if your able to get there early on a nice day/night, the tables at the water are beautiful from either the open section or the fine dining section. They have multiple bars throughout the establishment.Shopping- They also have an onsite store for everything Fagers Island. Stop in and See Joseph.Honorary mention to our servers who both went above and beyond in the service: Garrett and Andrijan. You both rock!Joe provided a little history and fun facts- The Fagers are local, they have another restaurant, The Bad Monkee, and a clothing store Monkee. Many of those that work at FI are loyal employees and it shows in their service.
Im not a rich man. Me and my girlfriend went out to have some classy dinning for the first time in our lives. We got two starters, two cocktails, two steak and crab cake dinners, and two hearty slices of desert to go 186$. beautiful view and setting. The food was delicious smoked salmon starter was awesome crab cake was perfect
Had a great meal in the Fine Dining area of the restaurant. Food was delicious and our waitress was awesome, as were all the staff!Worth every cent!
Band and people were great, was told to leave and did as i am underage, but i was yelled at to leave and that i was not listening while trying to explain that i was waiting for my ride home. my sister was also yelled at to leave for using the restroom even though she was granted access. overall staff was amaizng but the bouncers were very rude.
Maryland wings are amazing, orange crush is amazing, view is amazing, service is amazing. And this is gonna sound weird but trust me on this, the best French onion soup I’ve ever had.
Everything was great , we seat on the deck and watched the sunset and we stayed for ladies night after , the drinks were great the food was even better , Cristian took great care of us and he recommended us some really goos dishes , the chilean seabass was delicious, definitely coming back !
First we was like the only two black people in line so I felt we were going to be under a microscope. Line went smooth, then got to the metal detector and it rocky because the guy greeted the people Infront of us and just looked at me. Then I greeted the next guy for him to tell me I can’t enter because he thought I had sweatpants on which were cargo pants. But the guy 2 spots up had sweat pants and of course he was white. All in all if you black do not attend leave it to the non-melanin folks.
I really enjoy the atmosphere of the finer side of Fagers. Beautiful views of the Bay all around. The tables were well spaced out in the dining area, too. The food is Awesome! We came for the half price prime rib / half price fresh fish special that is happening now every Sunday & Monday nights, until April. I love how they have both beef & fish. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We order a bottle of Michael David wine, the tuna appetizer & enjoyed the views before dinner. We both ordered the prime rib, one rare, & the other medium rare. SPOT ON with the temperature!! The ajus is delicious too! What a great evening & we will be back soon! Thank you Fagers Island!
My Wife and I went to fagers island for our one year anniversary July 17th. It was absolutely amazing food The staff was so friendly and the sunsets are amazing. Another cool thing is if you ride the bus to get there they have a little shuttle to take you to and from the restaurant so you do not have to walk.
Fager’s Island was a gem. The water surrounding the restaurant was such a vibe and great place to take pictures. You can sit inside outside on the porch or outside without shade of a covering. The mango tango was amazingggg I had to stop drinking it since my food wasn’t even at the table yet. I had the Salmon blt and it was veryyy juicy and seasoned really well. This place was our last pit stop before our trip home and was a great choice. The other pictures were the smoked salmon and lobster Mac that my friends got and they loved it too.
Really wish I had taken pictures because the food was amazing. We just caught the sunset in time for our drinks. Our waiter was great. Couldnt believe they had Mad Elf on the menu! Fagers has always been an incredible experience.
Its the second time we have had dinner here in their fine dining room. Not only was the food exceptional the sunset was outstanding!!
Had dinner in their fine dining area, rad was our server, he was impeccable. Peach Manhattan was amazing. Steak was a 3/5 :( but the night life after made up for it with the live bands who rocked.6/19 update, fine dining menu has become extremely limited. Let’s add another page guys.
One of the best spots in OC. Great for lunch, dinner or late night fun! Some of the best bartenders around and phenomenal atmosphere. You have to catch a sunset here!
Made reservations for the wife and I. Arrived and were seated right away. The place was packed and there was a wait but not if you make reservations. We were seated right at the window and watched the sun set over the bay. Highly recommended.Wait time = A+Food Quality = A+Service = A+Overall Cost = A+Again. Make reservations and be prepared to spend a little bit of money if you dine in on the “fancy” side.
Professional woman in a beach town. Was initially told that my linen, floor length skirt was “not appropriate” for the restaurant. After this I was walked to a “2nd clothing inspection” in front of a trash dumpster. I was immediately expelled from the restaurant after commenting on the conditions under which my “clothing review” was performed. 100% would not recommend. Security was beyond unprofessional to my friends making comments that had no place being made in the situation.
Nice atmosphere, service was very good as was the food. We dined on the light care side, rather than fine dining not because it didnt look good, we just were in the mood for bar food.Scallops and clams casino were very good and our entrees of pulled pork and The islander sandwich (pictures here} were delicious.
Amazing food and experience. Middle of the summer and the service was SPECTACULAR. Great food and drinks! Highly recommend.
Always great, best place for sunset drinks and they always play the 1812 timed to the sunset. I always get the French onion soup...so good
Not sure why I have only ever went here for drinks?!Must be the relaxing atmosphere, personal service or selection. Oh! Not to mention views! It can be a bit challenging lately to just be able to walk into a place and grab some seats at the bar, but the hostess was able to accommodate the 4 of us easily. The bartender was busy but on-point all evening. This is a very chill place with nice music, views and staff. We definitely go back here again & again for drinks and try to sit in a different outdoor areas. They also had outdoor to-go drinks set up. -very smart during this “challenging time”
The food was amazing. The service was awesome. The atmosphere was out of this world. Get there for the sunset. It’s amazing.
Eclectic group of people and everyone was having fun. Great music and good. It was a great nite. Cover charge when bands start. Atm in the telephone booth. 100% carding. Bring your ID.
Evan was our waiter and he was awesome. Great kid with a great sense of humor. Food was really good but needed more of it.Got the panko scallop appetizer which was really good, but 3 scallops for $17 was a bit...no really crazy! Had the crab cake sandwich which again was very tasty...but so small. Also had the powerhouse wrap which was awesome.
Food and service were average for what Id expect from this price point. I had the Wagyu which, while good, was definitely not real waygu and certainly not worth the 76$ price tag. Appetizers and dessert were quite good. Service was subpar for this price - it was friendly, but disorganized and bad knowledge of the basic menu.
One of the best places in OC, MD. 3 different places to eat and have drinks. Fine dining - casual - beach bar. Works for any occasions.Spectacular views! Amazing food, drinks and service. Our waitress Stacy was very attentive!I had a fresh catch of the day: halibut with green beans and baked potato. My husband had their signature jumbo lump crab cakes. Maine lobster for my sister in law was delicious! After dinner we went downstairs to watch spectacular sunset.Highly recommended!
We visited Fagers for a work event during the off-season. I ordered the Catch of the Day which was perfectly cooked rockfish served over sauteed spinach. The dish was garnished with beautiful chunks of lump crabmeat which was a lovely surprise. For dessert they served a wonderful creation with layers of lemon pudding and whipped marscapone. It was enormous but so good I brought the second half back to the hotel. I dropped one star for the bar as the drinks that were offered were overpriced and so complicated that the three bartenders had to continually reference recipe sheets and dig through the bottles to find ingredients. For simplicity, I would forego the fancy cocktail list and stick to beer, wine, or spirits. Overall it was a very nice experience and I would not hesitate to return.
We dined in at Fagers “fine dining” side. Would have liked the option to try some of the lite fare but that wasn’t an option. We had the tuna entree and the fillet entree. Both were cooked excellently and tasted amazing. We loved the atmosphere. It’s definitely well sound insulated from the other side of Fagers. We were given wristbands prior to dining so we got into the other side of Fagers included with dining (our rez was 745pm)
For the price, I expected the taste to be outstanding. The crabcakes were small and lacking flavor. The tenderloins were also unseasoned. My daughter loved her salmon and the lemon desert was very good. We sat outside and the decking could use a good cleaning. There were dead little bugs all over the floor. The view of the bay was beautiful.
This place is one of the best places to get dinner with a view. All restaurants bayside share this characteristic. The food was not equal to the environment. 3 star food 5 star ambiance. Pictured is the swordfish and chicken salad. The swordfish is was tasty and well prepared(I recommend getting it with pico de gallo as I am a fan of citrus and seafood). The salad was generous for a salad but basic as it as just lettuce and chicken. Overall recommend eating during sunset hours.
We stopped in for a quick bite and a cocktail. The Jerk Chicken is amazing. The service was excellent. The server was very nice! Definitely would return!
Great atmosphere with amazing service by wait staff, bartenders, cart drivers, and more. 100% recommend for the sunset.
Loves the atmosphere and the service. The food was great and drinks were good as well
Fun place, a little hot at times, miss the huge fans on the dance floor. Band on Saturday night was great!
Use to be a great place but has lost a step. Like everything else in OC everything is overpriced but still has an incredible sunset.
Since raising the roof for acoustic and a better view of the Sunsets ,this really improved the atmosphere which was already very good
Beautiful view but very crowded. The waitress had too many tables and that affected the time and attention she had with them. The food was ok. Husband ordered the swordfish with Chile lime sauce but it was not on the fish or on the side. I ordered the Jerk Chicken BLT. It was good but the chicken breast was very small. The sandwich was mostly bread. Would not recommend taking young children. Not a kid friendly menu or restaurant
Absolutely beautiful views of bsy. Spectacular service..Fine dining at its best!
Don’t skip this Ocean City gem! This was our 2nd time going to Fagers and we were floored at the quality of service from this staff! Brought our girls hockey team and families with a group of 30+ on a Friday evening. Tables were quickly put together without hesitation to accommodate our abnormally large crew. Smiles on the staffs faces throughout the evening. Insanely fast and friendly service. Can’t forget the most important part - all the food and drinks were wonderful and heard 0 complaints from our squad. Excited to make this a staple of any time I’m in town.
