Outer Limits Smoke Shop

I have spent thousands of dollars at this store over the course of the past five years. They have always been my go-to neighborhood store, but after purchasing a chillum today and finding it was broken before I even unwrapped it, I went to refund it.If they would prefer to save an immediate $20 than have a weekly returning customer, it speaks to the lack of quality of their glass.

I was going to give 1-star because of the 3 whole parking spots but the variety of products and the prices forced me to redo my thoughts. I found things here that i haven’t been able to find elsewhere in SoCal which has been an inconvenience but at least I know a place now. This place has bongs, bowls, pipes, dabs, machines, bubblers, wood/glass/plastics, papers/blunts, accessories, lighters, and a bit of everything in between.

Margium was so sweet helping us. I had no idea about cbd or vapes and she explained everything to us and got us some really cool products! Thank you so much

My wife and I are now Vegas locals but former SoCal residents for 10+ years. Ive purchased numerous times from Outer Limits without whim. However, the last visit I was unable to attend so I gave my wife detailed instructions: 18mm oversized. They sold my wife an unlabeled golden yellow diamond glass brand 14mm water pipe, a real blue 18mm branded diamond glass water pipe along with numerous $50 18mm slides totaling nearly $500. The next day, she attempted to exchange the unused 14mm water pipe and was flat out refused. Instead, upsold her two 14mm to 18mm adapters with zero clips so they just slip right out everytime you pull the bowl out lol. Again, she was in CA for a business trip and was going to bring home new glass for me in Vegas. This was a massive disappointment and if I was there in person the exchange would have happened. YOU took advantage of an unknowing woman with very little glass knowledge, shame on you and shame on you for refusing an exchange YOU made the mistake on! YOU lost out on thousand of future business and word of mouth rep. PS the store was EMPTY without a soul inside, I bet that $500 transaction was their largest that day yet they refused to exchange for the correctly wanted product. Kindy go out of business you crooks!

Great service and a great selection. Something here for every price range. Helped my buddy pick out a new trident piece.

Excellent customer service! Everyone was friendly and had a genuine willingness to help. Bought my newest piece here...a zong. I didnt like the bowl it had so the guy helping me out let me swap it for another that matched my piece perfectly. Plus the range in prices is great. Definitely coming back and telling my friends. Best smoke shop i’ve been too, there’s not a thing they don’t have. like a kid in a candy store

There are pictures that look like you can buy flower, but this place does not have marijuana— it is a smoke shop with lots of fancy glass.

Ive been coming here for almost a decade. Hands down one of the best smoke shops in California.

This place is really great I really appreciate the staff there that was able to help me find what I didnt even know I needed. I kept asking questions and they were very patient helping me to get to my final purchase. I highly recommend this place and I cant say enough good things about the staff as well as the selection.

Im a local and went to Outer Limits today to exchange a vape I bought a couple days ago because it wasnt working correctly, for another one I liked. I couldnt find my receipt, but they didnt hesitate to exchange it, no questions asked. Great customer service! Thanks to the Big Guy (owner),!

I was looking for a stem for my water pipe. Found it with there extensive assortment. Also found cleaner that worked fabulous. Also wanted some flower bud. No dice only smoke paraphernalia.

I’m really upset and disappointed. I’ve been coming to this place for 6 years and I very rarely go to any other smoke shop but this past year has been really disappointing for me. I’ve gone in there THREE times this past year to get a torch. Each and every single time, the torch eventually just stops working. I take very good care of my stuff but for some reason these torches just continue to keep failing on me. The last time I went in there, I let the person who helped me know my issue, I specifically asked for a recommendation that wouldn’t give me any more issues but low behold, 2-3 months later, IT STOPS WORKING TOO. I’m wasting my money and that’s extremely upsetting that the employees don’t seem to care to help satisfy their customers so from now on, I will no longer be going there or recommending you to ANYONE like I have been for the past 6 years. This place has gone downhill.

Great customer service and they gave us a free lighter with our order. Lots of glass, lots of everything. Very stocked up and just really great smoke shop.

The collection is huge, with very reasonable prices.This is the spot i always go when i break my water pipe or want a new one. They always throw a free lighter for me when i get buy a big piece from them.The service is good and they dont rush you too choose.

This place is absolutely loaded wall to wall, floor to ceiling with glass. Theyve got everything under the sun for smoking any form of cannabis with very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Although if you plan on smoking anything else besides cannabis 🧊💨. This is not the place to go they dont sell any other types of pipes and will ask you to leave if you ask about them.

The staff are very friendly and pretty knowledgeable about most of their products. They have an amazing selection on so many items! The only real con, for me, is that you gotta be ready to pay some stiff prices, depending on what youre looking for, of course.The glass pipes can get very pricey, very quickly. Make sure you know what youre looking for and do your research before going in so you dont look like an idiot.Other than that, awesome place! I do recommend.

This is hands down the best smoke shop Ive ever been to.The staff is usually busy but they get to you pretty fast. But theyre always friendly and helpful. Theyre pretty good at answering questions and theyre always down to let you check out a piece before you buy it.They have a huge selection of all the right gear you could possibly need and the prices are reasonable and affordable.I recommend coming here for sure for everything from rolling papers to one of a kind unique glass pieces you wont see anywhere else. Plus. They also support local glass blowers, so thats a huge plus.

Ive never been in a smoke shop that had this much stuff! To be honest, I was a bit overwhelmed and like a little kid in a candy store for the first time. They have everything you can imagine related to smoking so I was able to get everything I needed in order to start dabbing. Their prices are pretty good too. They have small glass pipes for $6 that would have cost me $15-20 at home. All in all, a great head shop!

Got my first bong here and Bryan helped me customize it and pick out the perfect one for me. I also got my piece from here like 4-5 years ago and it’s still doing me well. I came in maybe an hour to close and they didn’t rush me or anything. All three of them were trying to help me out. I recommend this place for bongs and pieces and anything smoke related. Best selection and great prices. They take card and cash :)

Very friendly staff. Always helpful and usually can answer any of your questions. I came here in search of a reliable vape device. I chatted with a staff member for a bit, and he showed me a few options. I decided to opt for the Mi-pod. I have been 100% satisfied with my purchase.

This is by far the friendliest Head Shop in Oceanside. This place has the largest inventory of all your smoking needs, and friendly employees that are very helpful and polite. I only went there to buy Liquid pipe cleaner. By the time I left there I had spent almost $300.00, but left the store totally satisfied with a big smile on my face.

My son and I went in there because he needed some tobacco ( he rolls his own cigarettes). But it was more of (what I used to call head shop back in the 70s. They did have some nice pipes. Actually a huge selection of glass pipes! The sales guy was nice, but didnt seem to know about what we were in there for, as he shouldnt! thank heavens more of our young people now a days dont smoke cigarettes! All in all, nice place, just not for what we needed.

Ive been a customer here since they first opened. Different owners now, but still fantastic selection at phenomenal prices. If you were thinking of going to that other place down the street, just find someone to slap some sense into you and come here instead

Came in here the other week as a complete newbie to vaping and I couldnt have been more surprised how well they took care of me. Hard to find place in a small strip center, but once I got inside I felt at home. Excellent selection of liquids that you can try for free. The staff was very helpful and kind, taking their time to explain my options. Must visit for anyone in North County.

Prices where very high but selection was good. i paid 6.99 for 1 pack of Dutch masters. i like how the shop looks inside, but the girl at the front counter took forever to checks out and was rambling on an on with another customer and she could have been checking us out at the same time.

I just remembered why I shop at InnerWorld. Theres employees are the rudest, most condescending people Ive ever had the torture of being helped by. Yes the selection is great, yes the prices are rediculous, yes the employees are horribly mean, but will join go back for more? Of course NOT, This was strike 3 for me, support the original, support Inner World!

Huge selection and found exactly what we were looking for. It just took a while for us to get helped and once we were the young man seemed distracted and was staring at other customers while we were asking him a question and blocking out our questions so we had to repeat ourselves. Will definitely be going back but just asking for the young women that works in there next time! She is always polite and professional

The cashiers totally ignored the fact that I was looking at a product that would need assistance to check out. 4 people behind the counter and no help. Felt uncomfortable with the fact that they ignored me and kept talking to each other. Stood behind counter not doing any work the hole 20 minutes I was there! I will not be giving this place my business. I suggest finding any other smoke shop!

I had a great visit at Outer Limits. They were quite busy but still took care of everything I needed. I didnt feel rushed or pressured. The assistant was knowledgeable and very helpful with questions I had. He made sure everything was in working order and gave me helpful tips about my new vape.

Not the worst prices. The family that own it are not friendly at all are straight to selling you stuff otherwise no small talk allowed

Use to go to this shop for years. No longer going to go anymore, due to the fact they raised their prices of orion x q cartridges to $5 more than what they use to. Would consider coming back if they go back to what they use to cost. Found them on for $10 online.

I really like this smoke shop!I come here for butane or a coil for my vape . I would love to buy more glass but their prices can be a little on the high side. But the stuff is authentic and always quality...Thanks for having a great selection of inventory to choose from.

Biggest smoke shop in the area. Cant be beat in selection. Highly recommend stopping here on your journey to find a good piece. Even if you dont get it here they have just about anything you could think of glass or smoke wise. They dont always have the best prices so definitely look around!

Best glass selection in Oceanside for sure! Prices are consistently parallel with, or just below the fair market value for similar quality and Name Brand items. Outer Limits could possibly give any smoke shop in San Diego County a run for their money. (Excluding Tobacco centric locations.. Smoke to get high, NOT to DIE!)

Only good things about this place are the prices and wide selection.The quality of their glass, as well as their staff, is definitely in question. Their staff seems completely clueless about their products, especially the vape products. Ive left approximately $100 of merchandise sitting behind the counter because the cashier did not put it in my bag... On two occasions, and they either didnt notice or didnt care. Its a head shop, people are gonna come in baked, watch out for them ffs; I mean, your cashier at the grocery store wont let you walk away without the $1.00 candy bar you left on the counter, let alone a $100 vape that they forgot to put in your damn bag.

I called 9 minutes to 10pm begging for you guys to still be open. The gentleman who answered the phone said as long as you get here before 10 you’re good. Got there 5 minutes till and he kept his word. If this is not a true shop with great deals; I don’t know what is. Thank you. I appreciate you.

Staff is not good at handling busy days. I stood there for 10 mins trying to get help once and then when someone finally decided to help me i got scoffed at because i asked for something on a top shelf. Place just makes me feel uncomfortable because the staff is not friendly. Prices are outrageous too. I rather go elsewhere. Sorry.

This is the PLACE to get your refillable cartridges, yo! They have FULL CERAMIC cartridges here folks. Get the CLEANEST possible taste literally every time you seek it. No burnt dark oils leak back into the chamber either, signaling this is a true ceramic piece.

Nice people working..i was there on Aug 9...and when i got there a rock\jazz band was playing on the parking lot on side of outer limits..the police car showed up at the mini parking lot concert and the cop got out of car..he yelled out..i got a complaint of loud noise coming from here...the people there were a little dissapointed...then the policeman pulls out an electric guitar from his cruiser and joins the band...man that was a surprise for every one..i never had a bad experience with Oceanside police they are pretty chill!! Amazing day there.

The only legit smoke shop in north county. They carry everything from cheap glass to high end stuff(Darby/JLee). The staff are friendly and not super pushy as well. Decent prices for a headshop too.

They were kind of expensive & the scale I spent $20 on is faulty. They have neat hide-aways but again, they r not cheap at all. This seems like more of a novelty shop or gift shop to me. They are mostly geared to a marijuana smoking crowd too with almost nothing for other types of drug users

Judgemental employee regarding certain smoking pipes. Have never seen that at Inner World. No rose pipes. And I got a dirty look and a we dont carry those! By one female employee. A simple no, Im sorry, with a smile would have been nicer.

Not happy at all with the service/lack of proper management, however they have a huge selection of high quality glass, Im a Sacramento resident here visiting family and was recommended to this shop by several friends and family members, I was planning on a good chunk of change at the shop considering they had several pieces I had been searching all around the Northern area for months with no luck, so I asked about and looked at several pieces and started to ask the sales associate if I bought serval pieces if I could get a price break, she said she had to talk to the manager, came back and told me that her manager would only allow her to give me $2 off, which to me is more of an insult then anything, so I told her no thanks and continued to look around and inspect a few other pieces I was interested in, again with no luck at all in getting a price break, looked around once more and decided to leave, later on after lunch I came back to the shop in hopes of them having a change in heart possibly and there was one piece I really did have my eye set on, I walked in and talked to the same sales associate and asked if I personally could talk to the manager and she responded that she was actually on lunch break and it would be 15 minutes until she was off lunch, she (sales associate) also said she personally was getting off work in 10 minutes, so I looked around the shop for over 20 minutes looking around hoping the manager would come out so I could see if there was a possibility for a discount of some sort for getting multiple items, after about 30 minutes maybe a little less and no luck, I went and talked to another associate and complained about the fact of how long I had been waiting around for the manager without him saying much at all and then told him I couldnt wait any longer and to just ring me up for the one piece without any discount however they were missing out a selling more pieces he rung me up and that was it. by far the worste service I have ever had at ANY smoke shop, while they do have a lot of nice glass they are not customer friendly at all and are not willing to work with customers coming in the shop that are wanting to spend money from long distances...... I would not reccomend them to anyone I personally know due to the lack of customer support/managment had they taken the time to actually come out and talk to me they could have made quite a large sale, instead they only were able to sell one small piece of lesser value that the manufacture had discontinued, Im hoping the manager might actually contact me now that Ive faced my opinion here, thanks

Lots of cool stuff, some crazy tobacco pipes. They no longer sell kratom as its been banned in San Diego so youd have to go to San Marcos or Esco for that. But yeah a ton of cool stuff for vaping ect, place is usually really busy but the staff does a pretty good job at making sure youre not ignored!

Bad blown glass at this store. I bought two steamrollers here within a 2 week time frame and they broke upon picking it up. Then they refuse to exchange or compensate for it even though they know its reoccurring issue. You are better off buying from your local smoke Shop.

Google suggests this place when you look for kratom. Let it be known that they no longer stock it. They used to, but that was quite a while ago. Unfortunately, Google still has it as the top result for that product. Not a strike against the store at all, moreso against Google. My original 3 star review of the shop itself still stands as is and this doesnt change it.If you were looking for kratom, go somewhere else. This place does not have it.

Been threw there times and all 3 times the same man was there and he was extremely rude and giving us crap because we vape and saying how unhealthy it is, just putting his nose where it doesnt belong. I went up there today around 12:30 to buy screens and the open sign was lit up in the window and the blind open, but no one was there and the door was locked. If you are needing to go to a smoke shop I highly discourage going to this one as the man running it is completely rude. I would recommend up in smoke off of 10th and MacArthur :)

Big selection. My issue is they keep pushing dr greens mouthwash and shampoo to pass drug tests. This company doesnt work and if i owned this place i would hate to be associated with a company that is false and misleading. This is their goto brand and that needs to change.

So. Many. Bongs! All the things a stoner could dream of. Taking it down a star because it was not cool to hear, last year, that they got fined for selling synthetic weed/spice. That stuff ruins lives. Hope thats no longer the case.

If I could give 0 stars I would 1st of all the pretentious staff is more concerned about selling you the high dollar items which you dont need instead of just focusing on what youre asking for aside from that the cell sub standard knock offs and clones as the originals they also will sell you defective electronic pieces knowing full well youre gonna go home and try them if they fail the 1st time they fail going to return that I just came from a second purchase Ive made their Ive been unhappy with I dont know why I tried them again but I did and once again was disappointed when I was sold a faulty device that didnt work from the get go upon trying to return it I was told there is no such thing as returns so we recommend if you value your money or would like to get something worth value purchase shop elsewhere outer limits is just 1 in hundreds of smoke shops in the area

They have some of the best and the most disposable vape flavors plus an extra large selection of pipes and water bongs I have ever seen.

The staff here seem to not care about their customers experience. I went with my freind to get her a cigarette loader and the woman sold us the wrong one. After we returned and asked to exchange it they refused even though it was clearly not what we were looking for. So unless you dont mind being mildly robbed I would avoid this place.

Glass prices aren’t bad. Tho one should expect to pay double what other shops charge for papers/filters/lighters and other single use items.

Best smoke shop Ive ever been to and I lived in la and Las Vegas huge selection of pipes bongs posters and other cool stuff been around since I was a kid if ever your in the area stop by u will not be disappointed.

This smoke shop has the largest array/variety of merchandise compared to any smoke shop I have ever been too. (Id say Ive been to every smoke shop in Pacific Beach and the surrounding areas, a few in the Miramar,Mira Mesa, Claremont Mesa area and Oceanside/Vista Tri City area, and a few in the southwest region of Orange County-San Clemente, Dana Point,San Juan Cap. area) Outer Limits literally has everything you can think of, for example there Illadelph product range is from novice to experienced art-worked pieces from say $80-$8,000 pieces, something for everybody. Anything you need theyve got it and Im honestly kinda biased in favor of P.B. Tobacco, but everytime I find myself always first to recommend Outerlimits simply for the experience to see an amazing volume of product, whether thats tabacco, nicotine, green products, vapes, and soo many other great things. Honestly give these guys a call if they dont have it chances are it doesnt exist. There is only one exception I have found and that is the nocotine salt selection, (go to Mix Vapes off of Carlsbad Village they have everything nicotine salt related, only place in San Diego/south O.C./south riverside county frankly). Go check Outer Limits out next time your bored or need a new coil for your vape or downstem for your glass piece.

They gave me a defective very expensive vape and would not exchange it or refund it or do anything to help me so now I have a very expensive vape that never worked. Also some of their employees are very rude and unhelpful.

THE LACK OF CUSTOMER CARE WAS LIKE DEALING WITH A COUPLE HIGH SCHOOL KIDS WITH NO CARE FOR THIER JOB....ALSO, THIER LACK OF KNOWLEDGE ON THE LIMITED AMOUNT GLASSWORK THEY SELL, IS ABOUT THE SAME AS THIER CUSTOMER SERVICE, LAME!!!!! ....I LIVE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER FROM THIS PLACE, BUT I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!! Selection and variety is enormous. Customer service was excellent and theyre open till 10pm.

Definitely dont close at 10 because I got there atta quarter till and everything was locked down already

This place is telling me that i cannot get a refund on a defective product. This is not right. Updated. ..they eventually did a refund, but after complaining to the BBB. They do have a lot of products, just not the best.

Lots of selection but absolutely horrible service. They ignore you, then when they finally help you, there are interruptions from other staff. Plus the very loud music is pretty annoying.

Eh.. everytime i go to get a vape they never have what i want. the price goes up or they dont have the color i asked for.
