Relaxing environment with great amenities! I really enjoyed the full-body massage chairs and steam rooms. The view from the outdoor lounge chairs is equally as impressive, and poolside service from the spa’s bistro was greatly appreciated. Awesome customer service throughout the day, everyone was so nice and attentive.
Massage was not great. They charged $25 for an eye patch that caused irritation, redness, and burnt for days following the massage. I was also supposed to take it home but did not get to do that. In one way its good as I reacted poorly to whatever was in the eye patch. They also did not apply the $20 discount I was entitled for with my work event there. The massage was also not good.
Ok spa experience - massage was so so, the inside is a bit outdated, and it lacks some of the amenities (no razors, bamboo brushes, no seated vanity areas) that I have had at other Marriott resort spas. Best part was unique vibration meditation massage chairs, otherwise probably the loudest spa I have ever been in. No overhead ambient music. Staff was friendly, but very loud in the hallways. Probably would try at another spa next time in Palm Desert.
EDIT to add: no one has reached out to me. It seems they respond to save face online and never follow through. Its been over a month now and nothing. My recent visit to the Spa for a couples massage was marred by several disappointments. While the massage itself was acceptable, the absence of a coed steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi, undisclosed prior to our visit, significantly diminished our experience.Having spent $640, we expected a more extended and fulfilling visit, making the brevity of our stay (just an hour and 20 minutes) disheartening. The lack of communication about the unavailability of essential facilities only added to our dissatisfaction. In light of these issues, I am hopeful that the spa management will address our concerns promptly. Transparency and communication are vital in providing a positive customer experience, and we feel compensation is warranted for the shortcomings we encountered.I trust that the Marriott will take this feedback constructively and work towards improving customer satisfaction. We look forward to a resolution that reflects the value we anticipated when choosing your establishment.
I wasnt sure if it was worth $220 (including tip) for a facial but when I was laying there and she was exfoliating and extracting and my hands and feet were encased in warm wax while the relaxing music played, I decided I was WORTH IT! Do it for you and get there early to lay by the spa pool before and after your treatment! Pro Tip - Dont forget the water and the wine...and sunscreen!
I recently visited the spa with high expectations for a couples massage experience. While the massage itself was satisfactory, the overall visit was far from what I anticipated. The major letdown came when we discovered that the coed steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi were not available, and this was not communicated to us beforehand. As we were looking forward to spending a relaxing day together, this omission was a significant disappointment.Given the hefty price tag of $640 for the experience, the brevity of our visit (only an hour and 20 minutes) left us feeling financially violated and dissatisfied. Transparency about the unavailability of key facilities would have been appreciated.I hope the spa management addresses these concerns and takes steps to improve communication and customer satisfaction. As it stands, the overall experience was not worth the cost.
Im a regular spa goer, especially on vacation. This is the 4th spa in the Palm Springs area, I visited and it was by far the best. Firstly, the facilities were fantastic. The change rooms were spacious with lots of lockers and towels. Showers were exceptional (rain shower head plus additional 4 heads that can be turned on simultaneously and temperature controlled electronically). In the mens locker room they had a comfortable lounge area, hot tub, two different steam rooms and a sauna. My massage was good, but the massage bed not creaking, really stood out. Despite loving everything above the service of the staff and management was the biggest standout. Very impressed overall and will certainly be back. Keep up the great work!
Best spa in the desert. Killer views, giant pool, all the amenities you want. Would LOVE a cold plunge but that’s the only thing missing. Huge shower and sauna/steam area both for men and women. Great gift shop too. Love the team on the food and drinks, always kind and very accommodating.Shout out to Dale the amazing masseuse that somehow gets in all the right spots and yet is relaxing as well.
My wife and mom went here while my dad and I played golf and yes it was expensive but they absolutely loved it and couldn’t stop talking about it when we picked them up. There were female only jacuzzis and steam rooms of different scents that they loved in addition to the massage itself! They said it was one of the best spa experiences they ever had :) you won’t go wrong booking a treatment here.
My girlfriend did the 90 minute illuminating body treatment. The lady was great, but to only get the back exfoliated (not the entire body at all...not even the arms), sort of a massage and 7 different creams rubbed in (not a real mask at all) for $275 plus tip was nowhere near worth the money and I felt ripped off. I dont recommend this treatment at anywhere close to this price. Also they decided the tip (20%) on their own and charged it before the service was complete. Tips are supposed to represent the level of service and not be automatic. 1 star all around for the spa (but the lady herself was nice and the 1 star does not represent her personally).
Simply amazing! I don’t get many massages so can’t compare to but a handful of other places but this spa had the best customer service of any I’ve been to so far!! From the moment we walked in, to when our massages were complete we felt like valued customers. And the massage itself was awesome! I believe Claudia did mine and she was great. I’ll certainly be back here if I’m visiting the Palm Springs area again.
Wonderful spa! The amenities were wonderful. A saltwater pool (separate from the main hotel), multiple steam rooms, jacuzzi, and very tranquil lounges. The treatments were wonderful. The only downside is that it is VERY difficult to speak to someone on the phone. As you can only make/change/cancel a reservation by calling, it can become frustrating very quickly.
By far one of the best spas around. My wife and I live getting the couples massage here.
The spa is not worth the value. Really expensive massage - facilities were basic, hot tub out of order, sauna out of order, no hair dryers in bathroom. Massage itself was ok. Masseuse ignored specific needs. No specification of which type of oil/scent you’d like to use. Wouldn’t go back for a massage/use spa
You will not be disappointed. Quality of this spa is top notch. The exemplary staff is wonderful and the place is run by a woman who runs a very tight ship and it shows. She takes detail very serious and that rolls down to the staff. This is how you can be treated like royalty. Kinda the feeling you are looking for when visiting the spa. No?
We had an amazing day at the Spa. We started with an incredibly relaxing couples massage. It was followed up with champagne. We lounged by their private pool through the afternoon. We capped off our visit with a steam bath and sauna. The service was extremely kind and most attentive
Very clean, well appointed spa. Mens, womens and co-ed areas. Swimming pool outside with comfy chaise lounges. Dry and steam rooms. Super Jacuzzi! Towel service everywhere. Really nice co-ed lounge inside too. Relaxing and very enjoyable. Service was great, very nice folks. Well done!
Outstanding! Had a massage from Dale and a facial from Jennifer- both fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Cristina was there to answer all of our questions and was very patient with us and provided individual customer Service with a smile in both English and Spanish. The facilities were clean and fabulous. Loved the showers with the 5 shower heads, the whirlpool, the Eucalyptus steam room, the Sauna and the Saltwater pool. They also have ladies, men and co-ed lounges. It was so relaxing, quiet and peaceful. The perfect environment to leave the world behind. They also have a little Boutique/shop on the premises and both ladies were extremely helpful. Whether you are a guest at the JW Marriott, at the Desert Springs Villas or a day guest, the entire staff will treat you like a million bucks. The strawberry smoothies at the pool and the chicken paninis were also very delicious! I will definitely be back! Enjoy!!!
Great massage today. Facilities are fully reopened and there’s a great wet area in the locker room - Indoor Jacuzzi, two steam rooms, and a sauna-as well as a saltwater pool just for the spa. staff is excellent.
Before staying I checked that they have lap pool, for me as college swimmer that was critical. I emailed them 3 times in spa and no one responded.Today I checked and lap pool cost $50!!! What a crazy, I don’t need resort without lap pool 🏊🏼♀️.Very upsetting
Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Hell yes! One of the nicer and larger spas Ive ever been to. Day pass includes access to the saline pool, the gym (which again is larger than most spas), the jacuzzi and steam rooms and of course the waiting rooms. There are separate waiting rooms for women and men, and a coed waiting room too. Also a small cafe that looked nice but I didnt order anything so cant speak to the quality of the food.
Lockers and showers were good. What I didn’t like was the lounge - furniture needs to be replaced- worn out ( no holes yet, but soon). Another very annoying thing was the music- not a spa music at all - jazz which was much faster then normal spa music should be - horrible choice! More energizing then relaxing.
The facilities at this spa are amazing and were kept very clean. The employees were incredibly attentive: fresh towels and water were delivered before I had to ask, they had answers to all of my questions, and the initial tour was very detailed. The food from the cafe was very good, and the bar had quite a bit to offer if you are looking for an alcoholic beverage.
The best services are at this Marriott spa. The facial was by far the best. The only negative is that they never answer the phone to make a reservation and its a mile walk to do it in person! Please hire someone to just take care of calls. The bistro food was light and healthy.
Very nice, and clean. They offered morning spin classes and other activities. Nice assortment of exercise equipment and weights for your own personal use.Peloton cycle upgrades would be an awesome improvement, though.
Super good massage service. Had a wonderful 90 minute massage there. Complimentary spa are also very nice too.
Great service and massages. Furniture needs some updating. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful.
If your here, get a massage!! Hang out at the spa instead of the pool. Its fantastic. I ordered a theraputic massage w CBD. The lady was wonderful. Showers, Bistro, steam rooms, dry sauna, hydration bath, and pool.. and not to forget the salon... Thank you!
I had the best haircut by Patrick Marcheson and it was just perfect. No one has ever given me the perfect haircut until I meet Patrick Marcheson. The environment and kindness at the Spa salón made it even better. The scalp treatment was the best. My hair finally has volume and looks healthy.
Not my scene. Very expensive massage, but average to subpar treatment. Gross food menu, and ignored by servers anyway. Didn’t enjoy the crowd. Not what I’d hoped for from a spa day, despite the many positive reviews.
Excellent Spa, great facility. Rain showers, salt water pool, eucalyptus shower. Co-ed & men and womens lounges. Bistro and more. Many different types of message options. Skilled and professional staff. You can spend the day there relaxing.
I left my masseur Rosie. The staff was very professional and friendly and helpful. Lunch in the bistro was delightful our server Marian was really nice and professional.
Spa Desert SpringsOK I’m giving this place at four, it was not really a five-star experience. Nobody really showed us around to explain anything to us and not until my second visit did I even realize that they had two pools outdoor. Not one person explained the Turkish sauna, the hot sauna, or the dry steam sauna. I mean really, the Jacuzzi was self-explanatory. What I was shown, was the women’s lounge, women’s locker room, I was giving slippers, shown how to use the lockers and where the showers were. But the people that work there work great, at least most of them. One women working back in the locker room area was not very friendly. Here are the names of the people that made this experience worth while;JiannaBeatrizFedericoMax
First time visiting. Nice facilities, friendly and responsive employees. Enjoyed the gym, pool, lunch and my massage!
I had a bike ride from San Diego to this hotel. Were tired and dreaming about the hot tub. All hot tubs were closed. They didnt mention this on website or during booking.
Massage was amazing but facility is aging. Steam rooms not working. Not kept clean. Many better places in PS.
Beautiful and warm place. Great restaurants and spa and hair service. I come here every two months and this time for haircut and coloring. Love the place and the desert.
Had a massage and facial. Have to say it was one of the best massages Ive ever had. The facility is very nice and the staff is wonderful.
Wonderful massage and the facilities are great! Sauna, steam room, hot tub, pool, and pampering! You could also get lunch. Very relaxing day!
The massage was awesome and staff was great. I thought the prices were high though and the spa areas are not coed which was a bummer bc we were on our honeymoon.
Been here dozens of times. Our favorite Spa😎
The professionals here ftom the welcoming team to masseurs, management and suppprt team are all great. Clesn, 5 star quality spa experience at reasonable pricing.
Arrive early and use the facility. The massage was just right and I was totally relaxed.
Very nice atmosphere and wonderful employees. All were in a very serving mood and made for a very relaxing experience.
Amazing spa experience. Great massage from Martha and great service and amenities. Outdoor pool so relaxing.
Beautiful facility and relaxing. Extensive menu of services. My massage experience was great.
This place is very nice. Only gave 4 stars because one of the steam rooms was out of order and the lounge was noisy so I couldnt relax there.
Had the most relaxing stress free massage. Wonderful place to spend the day.
Need serenity? Spend a couple hours here! I loved my hot rock massage and the spa services are top notch.
Very luxurious. Excellent couples massage package. A bit pricey, but the quality is worth it
The hotel and property are beautiful. The spa is gorgeous and the therapist are all very experienced.
Amazing treatment. Took advantage of the pool and steam room as well
Wonderful getaway. Salt water bliss. Two steam rooms, dry sauna, jacuzzi, and the body showers... oh my!!!
Anna is the absolute best at pedicures...true talent. The salon is friendly and inviting.
Wonderful. Belma is amazing. Very profesional and sweet. My neck n back feel amazing
This is a good spot. Ive been here before. I just dont like that you have to walk outside so far in the cold to get there.
Completely relaxing spa experience! Massage in the morning and then the rest of the day at the pool overlooking the mountains!
