We recently started coming here and we have a blast every time! Everyone from the security at the entrance to the woman who runs the karaoke area, has the best vibes.As a big dark brown woman, I will be transparent and say I was nervous about entering the first time, but those nerves were quickly eased. I have never received so much as a bad look from anyone. I’ve made several friends here & I’m so glad we came across this place!If you like to dance and sing and have a great time with great people, this is the place for you!

Weve been visiting Rowdys in Spring since they took over for Big Texas after Covid caused the change. Theyve got some great artists going through there and Karaoke on Wednesday and Saturday. DJ Nick Russo is a pro at keeping the vibes right all night and there is a pool table/bar game area. My only complaint would have to be some maintenance needed in the restrooms. Mens room needs some new soap dispensers and my wife tells me the ladies need some new latches on a few of the stalls. Nothing major and nothing that should deter anyone from a good night.

We recently reserved a party of about 20 people on a Friday night. The place was fun, clean and everyone had a great time. The GM Daniel was the best host. He was constantly checking on us, making sure we had everything we needed. Even with a packed house, he made sure to pop in on us. Well definitely be going back with our group!

Apparently, this outfit is not good enough to be let in at rowdys! My friends asked, actually, begged the manager if they could make an exception and they said no. Oh well, too bad, Im not going to force myself in and Im not going back! They better check their clientele and see how they look in hole-y jeans that look like K-mart has been resurrected, not classy at all!

Wanted a little Texas culture. Was not at all disappointed. Wanted to have a Lone Star when I was there, but they were sold out. No big st all, gave me a reason the buy a 12 pack to try it. Super fun place!

Im a firm believer that places can feel different to different people. Over the past few years, Ive rarely had much fun at this country bar. It always seemed a bit dull to me, and I couldnt understand why it was so popular with others. However, my perspective changed recently when I visited on a Wednesday night. Apparently, thats the day to go because the place was absolutely rowdy and lively! It was a pleasant surprise to see the bar bustling with energy and people genuinely enjoying themselves.The atmosphere was electric, and I found myself getting swept up in the excitement. It felt like a completely different place from the one I had known. Everyone was there to have a good time, and it was infectious.However, there are still a few areas where this bar could improve. The bartenders, for instance, were quite slow. It took a long time to get a drink, which was a bit frustrating when you just wanted to keep the good vibes going. On top of that, the drinks they made were pretty inconsistent. One round would be great, and the next would be disappointing. It was a bit of a gamble each time you ordered something.Despite these shortcomings, I didnt let it ruin my night. I had set the bar pretty low based on my previous experiences, so it wasnt a huge letdown. Instead, I focused on the positive aspects of the evening—the lively crowd, the fun music, and the overall atmosphere. Its amazing how a place can feel so different on different nights.

We love Rowdys! It is a classy dance hall with awesome venues ! We got to see Aaron Watson here! WE 🩶 AW! The drinks are affordable! The bar is clean and literally there are like 4 bars each yielding 3-5 bar tenders to get drinks! Most importantly— this dance hall is one you can feel safe in!

I have come several times with my family because the atmosphere is very good and we like it, currently I just came and they do not let in because there are two people under 18 (they had previously entered) I have seen how they let minors under 18 enter without the need to show identification, unfair. The staff who attended us need a little more education.

I’ve been to rowdy’s many times… this past weekend 7/26 was the first time I was gonna have to wait in line just to get inside. The other times I’ve been it’s been packed but nothing like Friday. In my opinion they sold more tickets than their occupancy. To also mention beers aren’t a great price especially when district 249 is cheaper. I miss Big Texas

Attended with a social group and participated in lessons at 7pm. Good lessons, but know you will be encouraged to switch partners during the lessons.After the lessons, it was nice to practice with members from the group. Water is available in addition to preferred drinks. The parking lot is very dark but there is security at the door to assist with safely getting to your car.

I love the free classes with Dance with Julissa . No partner needed . She is a great instructor. Cheap drink specials $3 wells . A group of us get together every Wednesday. Lots of my dance family come here to perfect our dancing. We support each other. I recommend coming . Hope to see you on the floor dancing soon . They have pool tables for all the non dancers . I live in Missouri city, tx and I drive a long ways to go . So that should tell you it is worth the trip . I always have a good time . Tons of memories made .

When you sell 650+ tickets for a concert, have more bartenders. Waiting 25 minutes for drinks is not good service. Also, stop letting people stand on the dance floor during concerts. People come to a dance club to dance…we just saw Easton Corbin. Horrible servo e. Open more bars and have beer wells. Fix your air conditioner,

I have been here a handful of times and so far so good. I have yet to have an issue at all, good crowd, good vibes and the bartenders are awesome.

Friday’s there are concerts sometimes. Unfortunately those nights they have a $15 cover and raise drink prices so not too many people show up

Always love coming to Rowdys great crowd and atmosphere one of the best dance halls in the Houston area and there dance floor is second to none

Mostly couples on Friday night and not many single women. Place was nice but not crowded. I enjoyed watching people dance but had hoped for a better experience. I showed up for 8:00 PM free dance lessons but there were no dance lessons. Clean place, but I’ll try out a different C&W dance bar to compare it to.

Ive been going here on and off since 2014. The truest country dancing youll find in the greater Houston area. A shame its only half as busy as it once was. If you value country music and dancing there is not a better place in Texas.

Wont be going to Roofies again, women are getting drugged here and nothing is being done about it. Its no wonder attendance is low now.

Dont waste your money on a VIP Table at Rowdys! We paid almost $400 for a table near the stage to see Tracy Byrd last night. We got there early - great seats and view, until later on when many people who paid general admission for standing room only seats were allowed to stand in front of our table, blocking our view. We couldnt see the stage half the time because of the people who were allowed to stand in front of us! We told management, and they gave a lot of lip service to the problem. Honestly, they really didnt care, as they were just trying to pack as many people in there as possible to make money off the show. Tracy Byrd was good, but this venue is just terrible.

Horrible venue. All this place cares about is trying to pack as many folks in to make money after paying the artists. It was packed like sardines in there each of the 4 times I’ve been there. Don’t bother upgrading or paying more for better seats/views because you will have people piled up on you and even standing in front of you. The folks who manager this place don’t care when you report it.Will not be returning.

So sad to see this place change right before our eyes. There used to be good country and good times with a more humble crowd. Now it seems raunchy- bad “new school” music constantly playing. The vibe is so different. The occasional new school vibe was nice but the whole place has changed. Me and my husband only danced 3 times to good old country songs as compared to all the dancing we used to do when this place was Big Texas. I have no idea what this place is going for but now we feel we have no homey country night club to enjoy around here. We were faithful Big Texas goers.

Great atmosphere, bartenders, and deals

I only go maybe 2x a month.... the music has been bad lately. Too much techno raunchy a** music.... attracting wrong crowd. Bring it back to good Ole County and less hard rap that no one dances to. And can you say, way too many line dances?

I’ve only been to Rowdys ahandful of times since becoming Rowdys I’m not crazy about the music The DJ played a George Strait song and it sounded different so I questioned him he looked down at me and said that’s because it’s live Rudely I might add ‼️but nice bartenders and good atmosphere looking for someone named James wearing a white straw hat I danced with several times last night old school style thoroughly enjoyed it if you see this message please look me up

They couldnt find my tab so they printed out a receipt with a $2 charge on which I tipped generously, then they ended up charging me my original tab later on. There was also a live auction which took up half the night so hardly any music was playing. The live band they did have played slow songs the whole time.

Not feeling the changes so far. The music is so bad lately and even with hardly anyone dancing they dont change it. Best dance floor in town but if the music isnt worth dancing to then whats the point?

My girl and I love it there ! It’s our Wednesday night spot with our fav DJ Brad Turney but also has the best concerts that I love going to !
