I have been a loyal customer of Pearl Massage for years, but today’s experience was completely unacceptable. After a hectic Sunday, I realized I forgot to bring cash for a tip, so I paid with my card. During the massage, my masseuse tapped my forehead and said, “You need to tip more.” I was so shocked by the interruption that I didn’t know how to respond. Despite telling her multiple times that she was being too rough, she didn’t adjust, and then cut the session short by five minutes.Afterward, when I went to the lobby, she was waiting with my receipt and pen, rudely demanding a larger tip. I’ve never encountered such rudeness and unprofessionalism at this establishment. Tips should be earned, not expected. I will not be returning.

Have been going here regularly and it was a decent enough place. During my last visit the lady was rude - asked for money at the start. During the massage she kept on using her phone to book appointments. For 5 min she went to the desk and was attending calls. i was thinking of giving a benefit of doubt and left 10% tip - she started arguing and demanded 20% tip. She lost a regular customer - will never go again.

My massage was awsome, but the lady in the front was soo dam rude, right when i was walking out, TIP TIP TIP, i told her I only have a $1 because i didnt go to the bank, then she gave me the recept then she told me to write it down, shes very rude. Its like there hungry for money. I Dont think im going back to this place.

I have been a regular customer here for over a year and have generally had good experiences. However, during my most recent visit, I encountered a significant issue with an inexperienced masseuse. While massaging my back, she repeatedly rubbed her elbow on my spine—a basic mistake that should be avoided. Despite my repeated requests for her to stop, she continued to do it 2-3 more times, likely due to a language barrier. As a result, I have bruising on my spine. Given this experience, I will not be returning to this establishment and would advise anyone to be careful of getting massage here.

Been here twice in 4 months. Likely a monthly expense. Very affordable prices. I do the 30 min foot (30 foot includes a light massage of the upper body including head with clothes on in semi-private space) and 30 min body (private room unclothed) combo for $56 plus $20 tip. Please ensure to tip a minimum $15 or more of service is warranted, which I’m certain it will be. I used Tina and Lily both were exceptional. Clean and quiet space throughout.

Very affordable great massages. Recommend Tina for strong massage - she will do step massaging so be prepared. Lily also does a create job finding and digging into the right spots.

I really really loved Alice’s technique: I requested a slow caring massage and she definitely listened to my request. She used a very slow firm motion with a unique caring touch. The spa is clean and quiet with plenty of free parking space.

Have been going for the last 6 months or so (monthly). Today 4/11/22, I noticed they raised their prices by 20% which I think is high. I was already there and decided to pay their new price (not happy about it). I didnt leave a tip, as I typically tip them $10, which is what they raised their prices. The person that gave me the massage, actually asked me for a tip, I said no, he asked again, I said no again. Ill be looking for a new place. Why do they believe they are entitled to a tip? Is it not up to the customer and should never be demanded. The massage its self was good, but the raise in price of 20% I thought was a bit high.

This place is a good deal. Its pretty much the cheapest place around, and the sessions are about comparable with the cost. I see a lot of reviews with people complaining about tipping. You know that tipping is apart of the transaction before you go in. If you cannot tip, just dont go. No one cares about your cheap reasons. The therapists have a hard enough job without dealing with ungrateful, entitled patrons. If you dont like it, just dont go. Like I said: this place is one of the lowest cost studios around and you get what you pay for.

Overall I’d rate the service, quality, and experience to be pretty nice. Yes they do ask for a tip, but so do other places. Quality service requires a tip in order to respectful. Extra $1 for using a card is fine and I don’t have a problem with it. It’s not avoiding taxes if you know what the law specifically requires.I usually tip an hour session about $20 but then again I get this done regularly every two weeks or so. In my line of work I get back aches, muscles tightening, and stress from dealing with idiots at work. This massage place helps relieve all of that whenever I go for a session.It’s a semi-private rooms. So for example I’m 6’ 1” and if I stand on my toes my head meets a foot shy of the wall. I’d wish for a fully private room, but I’ll settle with a upper half opening.They do include relaxing music to soothe the stress away and depending on what you ask them to do can be relaxing as well.I ask that the person massaging me uses their full strength, since I’m a big and strong guy I can take whatever pain in a massage. In fact I encourage the pain in the massage because it means it helps loosen my muscles even better.I do think there is something wrong if your complaining about people speaking in their native tongue. It’s a bit harsh and disrespectful to complain about while your receiving a relaxing massage.Anyways I enjoy the atmosphere, quality service, and the strength I receive in my massage. It’s well worth the price for an hour session and even above.The only thing I have to says is. Don’t knock it til you try it. Go get a massage and if you don’t like it then say “thank you” and be on your way to the next possible dream massage therapy place.

Great place and kind people. Tip is expected, so bring cash if you can -- and if youre so broke that you refuse to tip, just go back to your ghetto hood. These are honest people working hard to live here while you spend their tip money on a 5000 calorie family pack at the Wingstop next door.

It was my first time trying the Pearl Massage. I was able to make an appointment within a few hour and my masseuse Kelly did an amazing job for full body massage. She knew exactly where to press in order to fix my shoulder and back issues. She even applied oil to neck and massage my head. It was super relaxing! Would definitely go back again! Price here is also very reasonable. The place is very clean.

Great massage for the price! And if you need a massage today, theres probably a time available. But I need to warn you that the online booking system may not reflect actual availability, better to call. Also you may find communication with the business difficult, since they dont speak English well. Also as with other comments, a tip is expected! In my case it was $10, on a $50 1-hr full body massage. Still a great deal all in all, just dont be surprised by the awkward staring at the end of the session where they expect the extra cash.

Mixed feelings about this place. The massage itself was nice, but I guess they conduct their chair massages right in the middle of the lobby? That was weird, gave 0 privacy and the masseuse kept leaving to do things at the front desk. Itd be nice if they at least added a curtain, but how weird that theyll just let all entering guests watch you get a massage lol

If you need a good full body massage this is the place to visit, local , inexpensive and they get the job done

No frills massage at one of the lowest prices Ive seen around. Keep in mind they expect you to tip at least $5 for the 60 minute massage, but it still ends up being a pretty decent deal. The foot massage actually includes head, neck, shoulders, and back, so its pretty comprehensive. You lie down on beds in a public space, but if you just want to get your muscles kneaded out at a low cost, then this could be the place for you. Make sure to be proactive to let the masseuse know how much pressure you like, otherwise theyll just do with the bare minimum.

If u dont have enough cash to tip then dont go, they will ask for more than usual which is not very nice and professional. If I satisfy the service of course I will tip well. Just make me think twice before going again.

Wife and i had a couples body massage and we were satisfied with the service. Staff was good and accommodating. The beds are kept sanitized using disposable layer of cloth like material. The restroom is clean and nicely decorated. Silence is strictly adhered to using many signs. The only complain is lack of privacy since rooms have walls open on top portion and suspicious people hanging out of the parking area and better scent in room.

One of my friends recommended this pace. So I went to this place with my husband. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the service during my visit. My masseuse was lazy and sleepy, she even slept when massaging my foot. She took multiple short trips and finished earlier than 60 mins. She didnt apply pressure at all and kept asking something or other repeatedly.If you come to this place make sure you ask for a masseur. Because my husband had a good time getting the foot reflex massage. The masseur was dedicated and efficient with the service. I am so disappointed that I dont even want to go there again.Getting appointment here is bit easy even on weekends so that is not a problem. If you are using the Groupon then it has to be your first visit. If you like the massage then they have good packages for 10 massages, you can avail that too.

Best place for a great relaxing massage.

TERRIBLE... Firstly, they charge $1 extra for card payment thus, encouraging us to pay in cash(probably to avoid taxes). Secondly, there was a lot of background noise(AC vent, water pouring down the sink and staff talking in their native language). Thirdly, the thing which threw me and my spouse the most, upon coming back to the reception, they made those faces and literally asked us for a TIP. We politely refused twice and the third and fourth time, they verbally started harassing us to pay them a tip. Started showing us some notes of previous customers who paid the tip. We definitely didnt fall for this trap and it literally ruined our mental vibes. The masseuse did an okay job too. She literally spend 40min on the back, 10min on the legs and remaining 10 on the head+shoulders+hands. DEFINITELY STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I love massage , I tried too money deferent places, today I was in Union city and saw the sign , just watched to try it I saw the prices $30 for a full hour the lady in front desk her English wad below 0 , in the massage room I waited 20 minutes tell a chines lady showed up, she cant speak any word beside chines , she start massage its looks like was her first time , dont know what to do, I was very disappointed and I wanted to leave room after half in hour, in front desk I complained but the lady just smiles and ask for $10 more. I never recommend this place to any body

These front desk person is extremely rude and dishonest. I ask for the lady but they started shouting on me is that how you treat customers no respect or any dignity. They are very unethical also when I had requested and made appointment by name both times they give me wrong person on purpose. They should refund me my money

Worst place to have massage. This place is very noisy and dirty. People work there is so rude and disrespectful. They do not honor Groupon or if you have Groupon, they will treat you like a free customer. The (Ugly face) front dest guy was the rude man, i hav ever met. He doesnt speak english well, but continuously keep shouting at us after we said we hav Groupon.we had two Groupon vouchers and the ugly face refused to accept anything from Groupon . While we asked for explanation, mr. Ugly face shouted at us and told us to get out. Beware of this guy !!!!!! Usually chineese people are the most polite and very respectful, but I think he came out of his mothers ass.I will never go there. Also I do not recommended this place for anyone who has self respect and dont want to lose it for few bucks.

I have never felt so humiliated in my life! A guy in front desk did even looked at me when I come! They have so issues with Groupon! When I said about it he didnt want it to listen and then turned out that I was already there even though I was the first time there ever! Turned out I didnt get the massage plus the worst customer service ever! I dont recommend to anyone to come to that place!

Have an appt at 9pm. We already infront of the pearl massage when IVY (receptionist) called us and said she had some problem with the schedule and mistakenly put us on wrong time. And she moved pur appt at 9:30. We’ve waited outside expecting to get a massage but this girl messed up our schedule.

We went as a couple for an hour foot and body massage.We expected a room to ourselves but were taken to a place where two more people were being attended.The facility is nice and clean.Service is good but staff was constantly whispering amongst themselves which was little disturbing.Attendants expect to be tipped, so do carry cash.
