One of the best LGBTQ night clubs in Baton Rouge!! They always have fantastic music and a great place to dance! DJ Affiliated was playing and amazing! Brandon the bartender was friendly, fast, and a great time to hang near all the time. There’s a pool table, outside balcony, and upstairs balcony if you aren’t as social too!
We went for Chappell Roan night and while we had fun, it was very disappointing that our friends were never able to get in. They waited an hour and a half and watched countless people cut the line to get in front of them. I understand theres only so much you can do, but I would recommend Splash place security guards near the line that wraps around the building to avoid things like that.
The atmosphere is fun but the music SUCKS. theyve played the same music for the past ten years its only lady gaga, pitbull, and miley cyrus. if they got better music or had some nights with the local electronic scene id go there more frequently but i cant pretend to like anymore lady gaga.
I really dislike how this is still marketed and seen as a gay club. If you are LGBT+ I would suggest avoiding this place. Its overwhelmingly packed with straight people that just stand there. No dancing, no moving, no mingling, just a bunch of boring standing around. It also gets way too crammed in there. So if you like to just stand there, have at it. I wont. Also, Ive seen dive bars much cleaner.
I came her for my 22nd birthday. I had a blast. My only complaint is the music. I thought the dj was in my case is little too old. It was my birthday so I did want to hear a specific song and he was extremely rude to my friends when they asked and said that he doesn’t “play that music” so I was kind of disappointed in the music wish they had a better mix. But other than that everyone was sweet. And I had a great time.
Was extremely fun and safe environment. Great music choices. Fun people. Only issue is the bar staff was very rude and slow and only pick people they want to serve first. Got denied a drink because my last tip was “too small” even though I tipped $5 for a $12 drink.
I was groped and followed around the club, when I told the owner and security guard they said “it’s your word vs his”.I was groped while on the dance floor with some friends by some middle aged guy who looked like he was on drugs. I told him to get away. Then he stayed next to me the whole time. Every time I moved he followed me. When I moved to the opposite side of the club, he followed me and was standing still staring at me. I told him to leave me alone. He wouldn’t so I told security. Security came back and said the person that groped me was gay. And said “it’s your word against his and we can’t kick people out because you said he did something”. I told them how uncomfortable I was and how messed up it was that I was groped and followed and they didn’t do anything because the guy said he was gay. I talked to the owner and he reassured me that he wanted everyone to be safe and have fun and that it was not okay. He said he will take care of it. I was upset and stepped outside for 10 minutes. Came back in and the guy who groped me was standing at the bar in the front. I was upset that he did nothing after claiming it wasn’t okay and he would take care of it. I asked the owner what the issue was and he said “it’s your word against his” i said why would I make this up about someone I don’t even know? The owner then went on a five minute rant, pointing his finger in my face, touching my friends and screaming at me. He screamed at me for about a minute about how much money he had lost during Covid. I got my phone out to record it bc of how aggressive and rude he was being towards me. Unfortunately I can’t post videos. But he told me to go to Reggie’s and see how I’m treated there. Then said “there’s the door go” but claimed he wasn’t kicking me out. Then he asked security to escort us out. So he couldn’t kick out 1 person for groping me. But kicked out me and my 9 friends. Splash is supposed to be a LGBTQ+ friendly place, but they let someone grope me and did nothing because he said he was gay. Was so humiliating and scary. Worst experience I have had at any bar.
This place has the best security at any adult venue Ive been to before. There was a creep that kept trying to get close to my friends (I asked if they wanted him to dance with them and they said no) so I keep getting in his way and after about NINE times he decides to punch the wall next to us. After getting my friends away I told a guy with a security vest and they immediately got rid of him.
Splash used to be the place back in the day. So many different aged and colored people of our community. I moved back home to Chicago for 6 years.. I just visited Splash for the first time. I will say this… Splaah is no longer a gay bar. I’m pretty sure there was more straight people including way more straight men. It’s wonderful to see so many people outside our community enjoying our culture, at the same time, why?? They have their own bars. Also, the age group has changed. I’m 33 and I felt OLD. Splash is NOT the place anymore.
My favorite nightclub in BR by a mile, only complaint is that the music is too loud. I dont mean this in a old man yells at cloud sort of way, but in a serious one. The sound levels they have the music at with 50% capacity is well above the hearing damage threshold. It feels like the audio tech starts at max volume and leaves it there from the jump rather than starting lower and increasing as more bodies (bags of sound dampening water) enter the dance floor. I love bringing friends here, but I hate that I have to remember to bring hearing protection for everyone because if you dont have it, it is unpleasant if not painful. I want everyone to have a good music experience for a long time and not permanent hearing loss.
We’ve came to Baton Rouge ever year for games and never seen this place. So glad we stopped in. Great music, bartenders, and staff. Allyson was so great she answered any questions we had and chatted with us all night.
Lord had mercy, please fire DJ Ruff, the music is trash 90% of the time. You don’t have to chop-up every song. When you see the crowd literally just standing there, that should be a telling sign to play some better music. Music hasn’t been good since last year; we always end up leaving before 12 because it is just so unbearable. I’d rather go to Tigerland and get hate crimed rather than listen to the atrocious music they play.
Its a typical night club good music large crowd fun atmosphere.
I love Splash. My girl friends and I go on a fairly regular basis. We just went this past weekend to see Daya Betty. While we had a good time, the heat is miserable. Im convinced they keep it extremely hot, so people buy more drinks. I totally understand that body heat, dancing, etc. causes it to be hot. But there is no reason for you to almost not be able to breath. Also, if you are upstairs, the CO2 blasters dont reach there, so you are even more miserable upstairs trying to get away from the heat. My friends and I have been ignored by the bartenders on more than one occasion. Taking them upwards of 15 minutes to even acknowledge our existence, when there is no one around us. I feel comfortable to be myself at Splash, so that is why we continue to go. But, some improvements would be great.
I’ve been coming here since I was 21 yrs old. I love the bartenders & the dj’s. the atmosphere here is amazing & it’s my go to spot on the weekend.
Wow, just wow. i’ve never lived until i visited Splash! Mahogany Campbell, Lexis Redd D’ville, and Xanax Black were AMAZING! everything was so fun, music was great, people were great. i truly had the time of my life!!
Ive been a customer for 2 years now and ive been coming all most every friday and saturday, amazing people and even more amazing bartenders love my splash family
Came out with friends on a whim and had the best night of my life, honestly was a bit scared to go to a gay bar for the first time but , I have never felt so safe to just let myself go and fully dance without worry or judgement, just to dance and be happy and feel safe, everyone was beautiful and kind and lovely. I use to bartend and I also want to say the man that made my drinks did an amazing job, they were balanced but strong. If your scared to go, just go, like please just go and try it youll have a blast.
I had gone to Splash with some friends and the music was not it. Overplayed Tiktok songs and when the did come on they were chopped up so bad💀 We stayed for an hour and a half and The most memorable song was apple bottom jeans
I grew up in BTR and started coming here while still on active duty...quickly found the staff/ owners are not the friendliest and that hasnt changed over the years..every couple of years I come back to visit and hope its gotten better but it hasnt..the bad times here out weigh the good by far .its kinda the only dance club now so youre forced to it but its not worth the aggravation.
Wack. The place is super hot, and they charge $2 for water. Staff is super rude. The owner got mad at me for asking why all of the songs were remixes. He says they have to be a certain BPM? The music is difficult to dance to, and the crowd usually isn’t large, even on their busiest nights.
I was very disappointed with the accessibility of splash. I was thankful I got in with some boards the security guard put down but it still wasn’t safe. People in wheelchairs go to bars too. I couldn’t even get on the platform because again no ramp and it was a huge step. The only place I could see the stage was by the stairs and people kept standing in front of me and using my wheelchair to help themselves up which led to someone smashing my arm. Me and my friends drove an hour away for the drag competition my friend was apart of. I expected so much more from this community and was greatly disappointed at the way I was treated and the accessibility issues I faced. Please do better.
2016 going into 2017 was an amazing experience and absolutely loved it. Went back again this year, 2017 going into 2018 and the music was awful! Splash needs to find better DJs. My high school homecoming freshman year had better music. I’ve been in college for two years now.... disappointed. Also, spent $10 just to be deafened by awful music. The music was painfully loud...
Best bar in Baton Rouge by far...
I cant believe this place tried to charge me for tap water.I asked the bartender for water because the fog machine had gone off in my face, and I was coughing really bad. He fixed me a tap water, and then told me it would be $2. I told him that I had absolutely no more cash on me, but that I was feeling sick. The bartender poured the water he had fixed for me out right in front of me and walked away. I cant believe I payed a $15 cover charge to get into a bar where I couldnt get water.
Judah Shepherd #5 is THE FIRE NEEDED BEHIND THE BAR! He passes the vibe check ✅.
Always the best night of my life! I always feel safe and welcomed🥹
Love this place , lots of fun , looking forward to the next time ❤️
Good cold drinks at a great price with awesome music and staff.
Dj Cowboy Chris (thursday)WAS THE BEST DJ THEY HAD THIS WEEKEND. Literally the best music, best beats, stayed hyping everyone up. YES. 10/10 would recommend for sure
I love coming to splash everything is always so nice and the bartender is always so nice
SUCKS that 1st time to SPLASH, wallet gets stolen. LOW-LIFE and disgusting scum, it takes a bad kind of person that would do such a thing, and for what $70 cash. Are you guys/thieves that hard up...that you have to steal from another person that actually works hard for what they have? YOU disgust me!! This made 1st time to SPLASH NIGHTCLUB and our LAST & only time!!! Wallet was kept on body and experienced thieves at this club stole it and were in co-hoots to distract, bump into and steal it. Later was told that thieves were also employees. I dont know you all.....and honestly never want to visit your club ever again!!!! I could care less about the $70 because thats just chump-change. Its the perspective that I do the right thing and responsible thing, and low-lives take advantage of any situation they can, just to hurt others. I HAVE REPORED EVERYTHING TO POLICE TONIGHT, DRIVERS License, I.D.s, social #, credit cards i HAD to call and have deactivated tonight, my birth-certificate, etc...., etc.... so LOW-LIVES, YOU WILL PAY with your FREEDOM if you try to commit FRAUD with my License, etc....and I cant wait to see your azzez behind bars where some real justice will be dealt to you. KARMA, she is a BIOTCH!!!!! And to SPLASH NIGHTCLUB OWNERS, your staff should have at the least been helpful and shown some type of concern!!! You were more concerned about looking bad if police were called to your night club....., instead of helping your paying customer. The laws in this state do require that a stolen wallet is reported in order for me to protect myself against fraud!!! I must submit police report to Social Security office if I am to re-apply for another soc. sec. card, and the DMV and state laws require the same proof that Ive report this theft to reapply for drivers license, credit cards, etc...too. GOOD RIDDENS SPLASH!!!
Great vibe for anyone looking for a real club atmosphere in Baton Rouge!!!
Great performances and bartenders are super nice!
Great looking place, glowing, illuminated, nightlife-orientated. Seems like the club to be if you like electronic music in Baton Rouge
The workers who work check in are rude. They literally have an attitude with you for no reason. and the ice isn’t clean
Went with a group this past weekend and it is BEST time ever. Will definitely come back
Bruh then Djs need to be fired cause they keep playing white people music but it’s black people time

Best dance hall in Baton Rouge, LA and they welcome all!
I really enjoyed this place when it was Traditions/Evolution, but in recent years it has been VERY unenjoyable.
Horrible service at The Chamber goth event they have upstairs. Bartender only serves men.
