I booked a couples massage and we loved it! I love the feeling of the spa, it’s in an old apartment building and going through the door feels like a home! Our massages were great, just what we needed. It was an authentic experience. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a wholesome massage experience.

Booked a couples massage during vacation, mine being a prenatal/pregnancy massage. Awesome experience, easy booking, parking instructions are very clear. Mine was very gentle and relaxing and my husbands was more of a swedish high pressure massage, which is perfect for what we were looking for! Would definitely book again!

Most uncomfortable couples massage Ive ever had. The massage therapists spoke in Chinese about their paychecks and schedules and as a Chinese speaker I found it distracting and uncomfortable. When I confronted it they became very uncomfortable and the massage was overall very poorly done. The only positive was the beautiful view but that can be found at many other better places, if youre considering getting a massage here please look elsewhere. The service is no where near what it should be for the price.

If you’re looking for a massage while visiting Hawaii, this is the place. Making an appointment on their website was easy. The studio was clean and the staff was friendly. The parking instructions were clear so there was no confusion upon arriving. They had different types of massages to choose from so you can’t go wrong. I definitely will be coming back here next time we are on the island.

Shirley and Nina were great! Very kind and attentive to both me and my wife. We did the couple massage and had a great relaxing time. Music was perfect to. Followed the instructions and arrived 10 mins early to get everything in order. We walked from grand Hilton hotel. Took about 15-20 minutes.

Location: When entering the building, go to the elevators, lava spa is located on the 25th floor, room 2502 (ring the door bell for service).Pro Comment-My husband and I booked the spa package- CBD & Chill Couples and added 15 additional minutes for the hot stone massage and it totally worth the experience. We selected deep tissue style on the form, medium pressure, and circled the areas you want them to focus on. My husband had an injured foot and his massage therapist Susan was very tentative with his request, comfortably he fell asleep. My massage therapist her name is Vicky she was very experience applying medium pressure on my back. From time to time she will check in to see if the pressure okay with me. My favorite part of the massage was when she glide the hot stones on my back and applying CBD oil. She offered me cold water when I had a coughing spell, which was very thoughtful.Con comment-This is my own opinion, I believe in introducing my name before I give service, instead of the client proactively asking their names.I know I see some reviews saying that massage therapists did little chit chat in a foreign language which can be a little unprofessional. I speak mandarin so I assure that they are not saying anything inappropriate (fyi they did not know that until I started speaking in mandarin). Although I do agreed the private chitchats should not happen during session. Hence why I am taking off 1 star.Ambiance-You can tell the room is well maintained and the linens are clean. It was hot walking into the room but later the therapist turned on the AC.Conclusion-Overall it was a good experience! My husband and I had a good night sleep. I tipped the ladies in cash. I would suggest clients to leave a decent tip for each therapist as massaging is not an easy task.

Hit or miss. Did a couples massage, hot stone, and foot scrub. My wife’s massage was apparently lovely but mine was odd and painful.She focused on the space between my shoulder blade and back. Just keep digging into it the entire time on my back. Was horrible and it’s all sore today like i injured my shoulder. I assumed she found a knot in them so i let it proceed, but in hindsight i think she was just untrained and inexperienced. The foot scrub was only on the top of my foot. The most bizarre foot scrub of my life.That said, my wife said it was lovely so you could get something great here or possibly a bizarre experience like my own. I’d pass and probably go somewhere more main stream that requires training in the future.

My wife and I went to Oahu for our honeymoon and I wanted to surprise her with a couples massage. Im glad I did because is thanking me everyday since the massage. We were greeted by our masseuse. We went into the room and they give you a clipboard with different massage styles, body parts that need attention and how firm you want to be massaged.I made a reservation online and chose the Coco Couples Package which was 75 minute full body massage, 10 minute facial massage and 15 minute foot sugar scrub.I cant wait to visit again.

Had an amazing experience here with my partner, there are a few sleazy looking massage parlors on the ground floor that made me feel a little unsure of the location but rest assured this provider is on the 25th floor of the main building (a little hard to find) the masseuses were very well trained and professional, they managed to crack my back in the first 20min the rest was bliss caus I definitely fell asleep for a bit, I recommend the foot scrub and reflexology as add-ons to the main massage. Prices are also very reasonable for what you get

If you’re looking for a professional massage. No games. All professional then you should try this place. Me and my husband came here twice and they do not disappoint. The staff are nice and make you feel welcomed. It was a great experience again I love this spot. And I’ve tried other massage places too, but I’m telling you it’s not the same. Nice and clean too! This spa is lovely! There’s an amazing view and the establishment has a cozy feel. When you get into the massage room, you will get to choose the type of massage you would like as well as the amount of pressure. Every type of massage they offer is the same price that you paid at booking. There are optional paid add on’s like hot stone and aromatherapy. The actual massage was amazing. I chose the combination massage and, to me, it felt like a combination of shiatsu and Swedish. There was a good mix of stretching my body and massaging my muscles. They take their time and massage you while lying on your stomach and back. They also include a scalp and temple massage, which were lovely. At the end of the massage, my best friend and I were offered water for free. You can pay with cash, card, Apple Pay or even cash app! The best part is that our “couples” massage for one hour ended up only being 68 dollars per person, which was amazing! Will be returning :)

Went for the lava signature Facial. It was very relaxing and the staff were professional. The rooms itself are part of a apartment so its more of a home style spa. I forgot to take a photo beforehand so picture attached is from after, but nice clean rooms.

These ladies were very thorough in assessing my our problem areas! Extremely polite and professional, very skilled and years of expertise. Immediately guessed what job field I was in from the start of our couples massage. After 9 hours of flying to Hawaii, I would highly recommend and go again! Very clean facility! Wonderful service. I recommend the facial and scalp massage additions!

I just had the stress-free spa package morning. I wasn’t sure what to expect after having a bit of a hard time finding the place. I hadn’t read the email that gives you directions to the 25th floor. Lulu was the only person there in the morning and she was very sweet. There was a bit of a language barrier; I tried explaining that I had stress hives all over and I wanted her to be aware. She didn’t seem to mind. We began the massage, there wasn’t any pain but I didn’t realize how tightly wound up I was. I cried a little bit and it was the best I’ve felt in a long time. Thank you! I would come back if I lived in Hawaii!

Had a couples massage and was the WORST massage I’ve ever had in my life. Not sure if the “therapist” has any proper training, she wouldn’t listen to me when I request something and she never asked about whether or not I wanted certain things, she just aimlessly did them without my consent and I am experiencing knee pain after the massage was over. It was unprofessional and very “mechanical” autopilot mode and not conscious or intentional massage with real technique, I was disgusted by the lack of her ability to listen to my needs and she just kept going to areas I didn’t want massage done to me and was massaging me super fast with knuckles and elbows only and doing monotonous strokes that didn’t benefit me whatsoever. The entire time I could not relax because of the quality of her strokes and technique even after trying to ask her to slow down she kept speeding up and using knuckles on tender areas. I felt worse after the session and even a bit violated, I wish I would’ve ended the session after 10min but I tried to trust that she would do better but it just became worse as it went on. It was the most frustrating, tense and atrocious experience. Waste of money and I will never go back there ever again. I am a local in town and I have had 100’s of massages in my life and I have never wanted to run for the hills mid massage session until I came to this place! Do not waste your money here! The therapist also finished a few minutes early and I saw her constantly checking the clock out of wanting to get my massage over with. It felt soo rushed at the end and she was wanting to cut corners and finish early and didn’t take any time to check in with me or even ask what a typical professional therapist would inquire about such as wanting to know if you have any injuries or areas of concern and where to stay away from, I told her I don’t want my arms massaged and she insisted to do my arms because she said my neck is tight. That is not a good reason to not listen to me! I know my body better as an athlete and it should be up to me where I want therapist to focus on! Terrible experience and the quality of massage felt very unsafe and unskilled and extremely careless!

My fiancé and I went here for a couples massage and it was incredible!!! The massage was easily the best we’ve ever gotten in our lives, and we’ve been to other chains before. They were very thoughtful masseuses and their hands were magical! 100000% recommend going here.

The massages were great (we do a lot of massages), not the greatest but they did what we paid for, relaxation and energize. We had a couple massages of two hours (300$ with tip). they are a bit hasty but not rude. For Waikiki, if youre looking for an affordable option for couple massages a do recommended this place

I have been getting my lashes done at Lava since 2018. Their new lash studio is so cute!! Very upscale, sheik and modern decor. I always feel comfortable and relaxed when getting my lashes done. They always do such an amazing job! At very affordable prices! I can’t rave enough about this lash spot. Recommend 10/10!!!

We had a super great couples massage and facial! Best massage I’ve ever had. They use Dermalogica products for facials. Staff are friendly, place is clean and the view is magnificent! You’ll see Diamond Head.

Lovely experience!! I felt extremely relaxed and rejuvenated after my 90-min session. My husband surprised me with a birthday couples massage during our vacation to Hawaii and would highly recommend them. They were very kind and friendly and also very accommodating with scheduling. The views are also beautiful.

Worst massage ever. The woman just did compression therapy. Did not use any oils and I asked for deep tissue and she did a light touch. Very disappointed. I regret going here. Don’t make the same mistake as I did.

Did a 90 minute couples massage with a 30 minute foot reflexology - and omg, I finally found a place where the massage therapists actually use firm pressure! The room was very clean and relaxing, and the view of Waikiki is beautiful. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

Fun experience. We always get massages on vacation. This place was in a skyscraper in Oahu. Awesome views and the therapists were really good. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in Oahu.

Note that they are on the 25th floor of the Century tower where there a combination of residents and businesses.

My wife and I enjoyed a couples massage here. I want to leave a realistic review so you know what to expect.The pros:Our massage therapists did a wonderful job working on our bodies. They take into account your preferences on pressure level and areas of your body that may be sensitive or off limits. This was also very close to our hotel (5 minutes) and the instructions given were helpful for parking and accessing the location.The price was much better than the hotel spa prices which I appreciated and which brought us here in the first place.The cons:#1 complaint: The massage table either didnt have an adjustable headrest or the therapists made no attempt to adjust them. As a result, much of the work on the shoulders and upper back really squashes your face into the headrest, that got uncomfortable pretty quickly and I provided that feedback to the owners directly before leaving.#2 complaint: English seemed VERY limited, which made communicating beyond its ok? difficult.#3 gripe: You should know that the parking garage only takes cash.that got embarrassing as we were trying to leave. I knew with validation that the parking was only $2, no worries there, but I dont carry cash on me and the parking attendant just looked at me like sorry, not my problem.Moral of our story: bring cash.

I had a great experience here! I signed up for a package that included a massage, facial, and foot massage. And everything was amazing! Never felt rushed. The spa is very clean and comfortable. Mary did an amazing job! Would highly recommend her! The only downside is parking. Leave early enough so you have time to find a spot. Ask for a pass for Lava specifically when entering the parking structure. And bring cash!! It only costs like $2 after validation for parking but they dont accept card and I know a lot of people dont carry cash these days.

The staff was very helpful with booking a couples package for my parents. And my parents loved their massages! However, I was quite disappointed to find out that even though I paid beforehand (and included a reasonable 20% tip already), they still accepted an additional tip from my parents without confirming that it had already been taken care of and checking if they intended to give them more. It felt like unconscionable double dipping.Edit: they have since reached out about the situation. Very much appreciated!

I will just say this... if I had never had a massage before & this was my first experience I would probably never want to have a massage ever again. I am curious what kind of certification (if any) my therapist received. Not relaxing or therapeutic (asked for deep tissue) in any way & the facial was a mess. Also did the scalp massage & had a hard comb used to literally scrape my scalp & left with totally tangled & matted hair. Lots of pushing my body all over the bed & random rubbing. I almost just left early but kept hoping things would turn around. Hate to leave bad reviews & rarely do but want to save others from wasting time/money. Lots of other inexpensive places in the area. On the plus side their website is cute.

Booked a couple massage today for the first time and it was beyond our expectation. Both therapists are great. They know exactly where our pain points and problems are after pressing a few times. My therapist is very knowledgeable about Chinese meridian system and she even guided my husband how to do me a simple relaxing massage at home LOL. Overall very nice experience, spectacular view, spacious room and nice people. Definitely recommended and will come back in the future!

We just did a couples massage and both thought it was the worst massage experience ever. He booked these based on the great reviews so we were pretty disappointed. We’ve both had a lot of massages and my mom is a retired LMT. This is in an old 70s condo building which is kind of weird. They were nice enough but barely spoke/understood English. Both were definitely not professionally trained and basically like if you let the ladies that rub your legs during a pedicure rub your entire body. We both requested deep tissue and there was no attention to any muscles just a lot of very fast, rough & random rubbing. Nothing about it was gentle, smooth or relaxing. The face cradle was a pillow and terribly uncomfortable so I couldn’t wait to roll onto my back. The CBD oil was like icy hot so I had to ask them to use something else. The hot stones were very hot and used like a 2 yr old would when scribbling with markers. I never leave reviews but had to bc I LOVE massages and this isn’t worth going to.

I’m sorry but I also second Marie . Just went today did a 2 hour couples massage and added 15 min scalp massage totalling roughly $300. After an hour of the same massage stroke on my back I had to ask her kindly to switch up. They are definitely not professionals or have had any training courses on technique. It was freeezing in the room and it’s an apartment turned into a spa which was fine but they made us take off our shoes , fine also but maybe some complimentary foam Sandles / slippers. Not worth the money I should’ve spent it elsewhere sad and disappointed

Omg ! Amazing ! This was our first couple massage for my husband & I & we came out feeling relieved. They took good of us because we came in sunburned & they applied Aloe Vera before beginning our massage. They would ask us if pressure was good for us & if we were doing okay. I had booked our massage online & on the comment section I added that we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary & if they can add flowers for an extra charge. We came in & as soon as we checked in, the employees said happy anniversary to us & took us to our room & they had put a sign up that said Happy Anniversary & rose petals on both beds. We were so delighted! Totally recommend this spa. Good pricing & packages. View of our massage was amazing too.

If you like to just be tickled to sleep I’m sure they could do that, but if you’re like me and want to walk out of your massage totally inside out and feeling like a bowl of spaghetti then this is your place. I got the Stress Free Holiday Package. Best thing ever

My husband and I did come here for a couples massage for our first day of our honeymoon. The ladies were amazing and we considered it to be our best massage yet! They did check ins periodically, applied appropriate pressure (which has been something my husband has looked for in the past, but never received enough of), targeted areas we requested, communicated things and were so kind. Views are beautiful, room is calm. When you go in, its almost like a suite of an apartment or something but that did not bother us, nor did it take away from our experience. Thoroughly enjoyed it all - we highly recommend them! Seriously, just book with them. I think youll love it :)

I recently visited Lava Massage & Day Spa during my trip in Honolulu, HI. All I have to say is if you are looking for great spa/massage/customer services, come here! I purchased the Glow Package for $115 and was 100% satisfied! It included a aromatherapy massage, scalp massage, facial, and sugar foot scrub for 100 mins. Great price and Jenny was amazing too! It was my first time trying out a service like this and she made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommend!

My husband and I agree this is the best massage we have ever had.Christina and Shirley were both amazing and very professional. Shirley seemed to know every sore muscle I had and exactly how much pressure to use.The views were amazing and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed.And with their amazing prices we will be back and often.I would highly recommend!

Amazing, SUPERB service! They are highly professional, and the location is at a fantastic height, you get a pretty nice view :) I booked the couples massage for 1.5 hours and it was heavenly! I wish I got the names of our masseuse because I highly recommend them! I didnt even have to say anything and she was able to feel the tension of my muscles and worked on the parts that needed attention. Will definitely come back, and will recommend to friends and family!

While the massage itself was pretty good, we were disappointed in the fact that we booked a couple massage for 90 minutes and a 30 minute facial and they finished 20 minutes early, but still charged us the whole amount. 20 minutes less of a massage is a pretty large amount! The place was clean and the view was good as long as you aren’t expecting to be walking into your resort style spa, but the charging for 20 minutes more than the massage actually provided was very uncool.

Parking was a process. Make sure you tell the parking attendant youre going here and you need the card to put in your window. Otherwise you wont have parking. You have to go up the elevator and the ambiance and the building is a little bit run down and dreary... maybe sad (tbh)? I kept hearing emergency vehicle sirens and such while getting my massage which can be distracting to some...But the ladies working there were super nice and accommodating. The massage and facial were both amazing!!! I felt so amazing afterwards. They focused on my trouble spots and really knew what they were doing. My facial had my face dewy and supple. I even had someone comment that I had such good skin that day when I went to get my eyebrows waxed.Id definitely go back for those reasons.

Super happy my husband and I Googled a massage place and found this place right near our hotel! First off, I love the feel of this place , maybe because I also work in a small spa in my home town. The massages were excellent! So detailed! For me, I was in pain the first 30 min but thats because I have a lot of issues and havent had a massage in years. She really worked all my knots out, got areas I didnt even realize were tense. For being tiny women, theyre so strong! They added hot rocks in the end and it was so relaxing! My husband and I were soooo relaxed and in awe of how good it was that we couldnt stop talking about it the whole walk back to the hotel. Lastly, at the end they gave us a scoop of ice cream to enjoy, cold water, and chocolate. Loved that we werent rushed out as that was some of the bad reviews I read on other massage places. The experience was amazing, thanks so much!

LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING! First time for me getting a massage of any kind. Brought my fiancé here and at first it seemed like it was in someone’s nice apartment. It turned into a fantastic relaxing experience. So don’t let the front door and first impressions freak you out! Great experience overall! Husbands and Fiancés…. It’s the move.

My first massage and facial ever! heads up: you do get mostly naked. i didnt k ow that. (there is a sheet for privacy) masseuse made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. very clean place and nice music. extremely happy with the price, extremely happy with my experience!

I had such high hopes when I booked a couples massage online... but I have to be honest. Ive had a lot of massages and this one was my least favorite. The service quality was just okay and the techniques were unlike anything else Ive experienced. Not in a good way either. I never felt very relaxed during the service bc the experience was mostly awkward and uncomfortable. The room was very high in the building and kept making scary creaking noises when the wind blew against the windows. I felt very rushed in and out of my appointment. The area is sketch and the office was not nearly as professional and nice as it looks on the website. Not what I was expecting at all unfortunately. I guess you get what you pay for, but I do not recommend.

Oh my goodness, I love this place. I discovered them on Groupon and received a 60 minute massage with aromatherapy. The parking lot is kind of annoying depending on when your appointment is because of the few amount of guest parking spots. The view from the room is incredible, the skyline of downtown Honolulu. I got to select what essential oil I wanted, what style of massage and the amount of pressure. My masseuse was very attentive and did a wonderful job. I walked out of there feeling like a brand new person. Im definitely coming back!

Went for a couples CBD massage. This spa is very well priced for the quality and length of the services. The massage specialists did a great job at making us feel relaxed and loosening up sore muscles. We will definitely be going back the next time were in need of some relaxation.

Ive been to various spas around the world - Thailand, Japan, Florence, San Francisco etc. I must say that Lava Massage & Day Spa was surprisingly a wonderful experience for me and my husband visiting Honolulu. It was such a great value. We left completely relaxed after our Coco Couples Package. My husband who doesnt even like massages said his therapist was amazing and listened to all of his needs, leaving really refreshed. We actually also went to the Westin Moana Surfrider Spa which was $$$$ more and we preferred Lava Spa and massage by 10 fold. It was literally half the price and double the value. They might not have the full jacuzzi experience like some resorts however they have the same great levels of service, views (high rise style), and most importantly CLEANLINESS. I felt safe from COVID the entire time. This trendy boutique spa is a total gem on the island and I think its a secret spot for a lot of the locals. 100% recommending to all my friends. Make sure you book one of the combination packages that includes the foot scrub, scalp massage and facial. The therapist who did my facial was well trained and used luxurious dermalogica product on me, which is great for all types of skin. Youll see a lot of those asian massage parlors within the Waikiki/Honolulu area, where asian men in jeans will massage you as youre sitting amongst a lot of strangers you dont know. If you pay slightly more for Lava Day Spa, youll have your own private room, and leave feeling brand new. Trust me. Youll want to make time for this during your trip. Also its a staff of all women - so its incredibly safe even if you want to just go alone while your husband is golfing or something. Thats exactly what I did for the second time I went back, and we both left Hawaii very happy. Haha!

We messaged on yelp for a couples massage and got a reply within 5 minutes. They were able to set us up for an appointment that day! We were a little late but still got all the time for the appointment. Their location is in a condo but its the cutest thing Ive ever seen. 25th floor views of Honolulu is awesome!Our therapists were stunning. They helped me get out the knots gently and effectively. Our facials were great too! Afterwards they asked if we wanted ice cream!! So great.

Update: My second time back this year and I have to reiterate how wonderful an experience I have here. This is hands down the best facial for the price! Christina has this technique that tightens my neck and face and gives me a wonderful glow that last for days! If youre looking for your go-to place for a great and affordable facial in Hawaii (where most services are over priced), this is the place!! Hawaiis best kept massage therapy secret!Great for both locals and visitors! Wonderful massage, beautiful atmosphere. Christina did an amazing job with my eyelash extensions! You absolutely have to get the facial here! You wont regret it.

Ive been getting lashes done here off and on since April 2019. Each time Ive been wowed by Christinas work. She keeps my lashes looking effortless with her high quality work. Ive had dramatic, classic, d curl, c curl, wispy and cat eye. Her prices are incredible for the care she puts in. She is professional and warm.Her space is cozy, clean, updated, and comfortable.Definitely recommend!

I wish I could give more stars to this great business! Christina and her team are hands-down the best spa/massage experience anyway. Like Christina says on her website We are NOT an upscale spa like the ones you might find in a fancy hotel. In fact, our cozy space is converted from an apartment unit which should make you feel right at home.The best part about Lava is the staff. Ive gotten massages all over Hawaii and the Mainland but Lava is by far the most comfy. What is the point of all that extra nonsense at upscale spas when the real focus is to relax and get taken care of? All the therapists are easy to talk to, very attentive and make you feel at home. Christina has always been super easy to communicate with. I started messaging her on Yelp to ask a couple question and no matter what, she is incredibly accommodating. She cares deeply about her customer sanctification.The second best part is that the prices are unbelievable! What an incredible value. I cant say enough great things about Lava. Great experience. My husband and I went for a couples package with massage, sugar foot scrub, and mini facial while on Oahu for our wedding. Directions provided were spot on. Spa is in an apartment with gorgeous views. Super clean and so kind. Services were wonderful. Definitely recommend.

Today I had my first massage from Lava Day Spa, and loved the experience so much that I had to go ahead and write review. Not only was this one of the best massages Ive ever received, the staff was the cherry on top to the whole experience. One tip: call their business phone to discuss bookings and deals before purchasing anything on other websites. I will 100% be a returning customer, which just might be tomorrow before my flight leaves Hawaii.

Love to get a sunset massage here, the view is nice. Also they provide great service, enjoyed it every time.

Hands down the best massage I have received. Beautiful suite on the 25th floor with stunning views through floor to ceiling windows. Muscular hip injury was carefully worked on and tension released. A must stop if you need a massage in Waikiki. And you do. Here.

Hi, PT here.Not sure who my particular Massage Therapist was, but it was easily the worst massage I’ve had to date.Did an 80’ couples massage, during which she spent the majority of her time waylaying on my non-dominant rhomboid (which was not tight), and merely just rubbing oil around my back. She touched each arm for about 15” each, and spent her time on my lower extremities trigger pointing my anterior tibialis instead of working on muscles that actually needed help, such as… idk, maybe my quads, hamstrings and calves? During the “foot massage” portion she used a scrub, then merely rubbed oil around my feet and squeezed my toes a few times.The only saving grace was the facial portion in the last 10-15’, which was enjoyable.My partner (also a PT) seemed to enjoy hers… so may the odds be ever in your favor.

Excellent service! My wife and I went for a couples massage. Booking through the site was fast and easy. Before our appointment we had some unexpected delays getting there, but they made so many accommodations for us and followed up with us to make sure we could find them easily.The building is kinda hard to navigate. To get there you have to get to the 1st floor first, the. Go to the lobby and take the elevator there to the 25th floor. Make sure to tell the parking attendant youre going to Lava to get to your reserved parking spot.The massage was excellent and super relaxing. The view is amazing, kinda wanted just to hangout staring at A la moana beach.Totally worth it!

This spa is by far one of the best I’ve ever been to. The view is incredible, the women are really friendly and super nice. The massage was great, they really know their stuff. They also go above and beyond with customer service. When i got off the table i was offered to sit at the dinning room table with mint chocolate chip ice cream and water. Seriously what is better than that after a day of being pampered!!!

I can’t really begin to describe the experience. I felt like much of the massage was focused on my behind. It was strange because I have had plenty of massages before and this was the first time my underwear was pulled down. I would have been semi okay with that but when I asked for more pressure on my neck and back, nothing seemed to change. She kept returning to my butt and none of the motions felt like they were effective or appropriate. I also know what a good massage feels like and I literally felt like oil was dumped on my back and she rubbed up and down with no real intention. It wasn’t even the right pressure points. I only gave it a 1 because my husband had a great massage as he describes it. Maybe it depends on the therapist but I was so uncomfortable that my body felt more tense than when I entered. Bad way to end my honeymoon.

Looking for a couples massage, its hard to know where to go on a Honeymoon. Lava had a great price for two and an amazing view. The staff was very kind and professional. The massage itself was fantastic! I would definately recommend for future visits!

Super relaxing experience. I just had knee surgery 11 weeks ago, so my lower back and hips and leg are pretty messed up. My therapist was awesome and checking to make sure i was comfortable. It was very therapeutic on my body.Definitely going back for another massage.

I wish I could give this place more stars. I had a magnificent and relaxing experience. I highly recommend this place. The price is very reasonable and worth every cent. I booked the chill package online. I received a text shortly stating they were unable to accommodate my scheduled time due to staffing, but they offered a different time slot for the same day. (The new time actually worked better for me.) It was a short ~20 min walk from Hilton Village. There is parking at the location. I believe they will validate parking for you. They are located on the 25th floor of the Century Center, which hosts a combination of businesses and residents. I received a warm greeting at the entrance where I took off my shoes. I was taken to a very cozy waiting area and was served water. It is a clean and tidy place and, as noted on their website, is not fancy or upscale. The staff were kind, friendly, and terrific. (FYI, the staff may not all speak English.) They all wore masks. I saw them sanitize the room I was to be in. The room was clean and relaxing. I had a lovely view of the city and ocean. My therapist confirmed which massage I booked and asked about pressure level. She appeared well trained and worked out a lot of my stubborn knots. She made sure I was ok as she worked on my back and adjusted pressure accordingly. My hour and 40 min flew by! I am so glad I found this hidden gem. Too bad I live in Texas because I would come here regularly for massages and possibly scrubs.

The massage was okay, but of the 120-minute massage I got, at least 30 min of it was the masseuse fully on top of my body, over the sheet (I was laying on my stomach). She used her knees and legs to loosen me up, perhaps(?), but I did not expect it to go on so long. The music was also interesting and ended up being pretty distracting. Usually, spas tend to have nature sounds or instrumental tracks. The music seemed to be covers (not by a popular musician) of popular oldies and 90s songs. The building the spa is in is also sort of sketchy.

Parking is a HOT mess! Business has 3 assigned spots inside the garage. Instructed to get a pass from attendant. I was informed all passes were used and to park in a Guest spot. There were none available after 10 minutes of circling garage. Spa employee was nice enough but had no solution to offer.Scheduled for a prenatal massage that I ended up not getting.

Super nice people. We did a couples massage. My wife and I both felt great when done. They were really good, gave us water when done, and didnt rush us out the door. We will look them up again when we visit next year!

Great massages here. The masseuses are very knowledgeable in multiple types of massages. Id recommend the deep tissue & swedish massage combination. Their hot stone massage is also a great addition and the foot reflexology & scrub is perfect for the ultimate stress reliever. I usually come for a massage here 2x a month.

What an amazing experience....From the moment you walk in the door the staff are waiting to welcome you with a smile. The space was so serene and VERY CLEAN. The service was top notch, the staff were very thorough when it came to the service being provided and any medical concerns. Definitely one of my highlights in Hawaii. I had the brow package with lamination and tinting. The whole experience was worrth it. She wa so gentle and soft spoken, I not only for great brows but it was also calming. At first I thought they were really dark but after a day they looked more normal and I think is the right color. My daughter also had an awesome massage from here. We both highly recommend!

I had to keep asking my maseuse to be more gentle every few minutes. The decor is great as well as the view, but the room is dry and the massage was painful. I would not recommend this place unless you are looking for a heavy sports massage.

This is a hidden gem and fantastic massage and day spa in the Waikiki/Honolulu area near Ala Moana Center and the Convention Center. Services are reasonable and staff are very friendly as well as professional. Enjoyed my Lava Signature Facial which has a light massage along with it. My partner enjoyed the Foot Reflexology and Detox Foot Scrub add on.

I booked a 90 min spa package that included 60 min deep tissue massage, 20 min foot reflexology, and 10 min scalp. It was very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend for the value paid. The views were also quite lovely from the top.
