My husband and I visited Katy Thai Massage Center due to our usual spot being fully booked, and we were highly disappointed. The atmosphere was far from relaxing, with constant chitchatting by the masseuses and cell phones ringing. Despite requesting silence, the noise persisted. The massage itself was unprofessional. The masseuse merely rubbed oil on my body, and when I asked for more pressure, she demanded an extra $10. This showed a clear lack of technique and professionalism. I ended the session after 15 minutes, but the masseuse refused to refund me as initially suggested.Furthermore, we were pressured to tip, which added to the unpleasant experience. Spend your money elsewhere for better service and respect.
I went to this place today. It was worth the 5 stars. The place wasnt a gorgeous as some massage parlors but the massage therapist I had was worth the money. The time was short by 10-15 minutes but she got rid of the knots in my muscles and didnt offer any funny business at the end. She felt where my muscles were tightest and worked on them until the knots were atleast lessened. Thank you also for not trying to talk my ear off.
Did a couples massage here last minute. It was awesome. However, the table we were on wasn’t the best for couples. Definitely would recommend getting a massage on a single table. The walking on the back was amazing!
My first impression was how dark and dirty this place was, with an inch of thick dust on the fish tank in the lobby. But I had a tight back and it was late in the evening on a Saturday night, so I thought I would give them a chance. I told her I wanted a 60 min massage, with focus on the neck and back, especially my lower back, using hand gestures to clarify, because it seemed English might be her second language. She asked if I wanted deep tissue, and I said yes, so she pointed to the $70 option posted. I agreed, and she took my CC and ran it up front. I am not accustomed to that, but fine with that, because a business deserves to cover themselves from a loss. When signing the receipt I said I would tip with cash, and she said that was fine. The massage was fine, not my best, and not my worst, but certainly nowhere near the deepest, and not much focus on the lower back like I had requested. Based on the massage alone, I might give them another chance. However, when I went to tip her $10 on my way out, she immediately replied that it was not enough, and pulled out the receipt from earlier and said, You already tip 10! pointing to the tip line with a pen. Not wanting to look like a cheapskate or shortchange her(And knowing it was very possible the owner keeps the full $70, and all she makes is what she gets in tips) I agreed to add another $10, for a total $20 tip. But here is the real twist, when I got the statement, I saw that they ran it for $83.00 even, $3.00 more than the total I clearly wrote on the receipt. I did the math, and know that couldnt be for sales tax. So be prepared to pay $93 for that $70 massage. As for me, I will NEVER go back.
This place is very strange, dark and extremely unmanaged. I decided ti come here last minute. The signage on pricing are unclear and misleading. The woman working at the time continuously tried to upsell me when all I wanted was the $60 special. She displayed poor communication from the start. This lady asked me to pay upfront, no problem at all with that. But then had the nerve to ask me if my tip will be credit or cash. Puzzled I just said credit. She then followed with how much? Several problems here.1. A tip is based off of service, my decision on how much to tip is based on your attitude and delivery with fulfilling the need.2. Why would I predetermine that amount prior to the service? This isn’t a large party so gratuity is not an option. With this in mind, I hesitant said $5, because at this point I’m off putted and very perplexed by the situation. She aggressively handed back my card and refused service stating that tips are required to be 35%. Yall 😂! This lady said her tip requirements were 35%!!! Do you here me!??? Like you have not even offered me a service yet and are demanding that I tip you 35% of my service. Keep in mind this was not posted anywhere. So yeah… I’d strongly suggest you go elsewhere. The dynamics displayed here were either racist or just flat out rude. 0 stars
Their was rating that was replied on six days ago but was from a review from 5 years ago. I would give now a 5 star. If you wanting an Professional Massage I would recommend. I have only seen Wendy, so I can not speak about other. She give a strong Massage so your muscles might be sore the next day. And for the big tipper of $5 and $10 the normal tip is $20. Ive been going here for years and will continue to go.
Stopped in to see what they could do for my leg pain and was pleasantly surprised. Wendy was fantastic, very processional and knowledgeable. They offer all massages not just Thai. The room was clean and comfortable. Definity deserves a return trip.
Had my first massage at Katy Thai Massage today. The place is quiet and quite nice, comfortable and relaxing. The massage was excellence, compliments of Angela. She is talented and experienced. Made for a terrific experience! Will definitely have another appointment with her. She managed to reduce my stress and relieved my lower back pains.
3.5 stars for me. Clean. Massage was just above ok. Think she works alone the phone rings she takes off 3 times. Someone walk in she takes off 2 times. Maybe they have a better time with more staff. I paid upfront they didnt ask got my change. I tipped 20 as I am a large fellow hard work doing massage. I was not asked for more as I see on other posts.I would only return if better staffed
They place is dissent the massage was good, but the deal breaker for me was when I when to tip them and the lady was asking for more them what I was giving. I dislike when they want to force you to tip what they want.
90 min session with Linda is body altering and healing. Great massage and she paid attention to what my body needed. Will see be back to see her again!
To all the whiners stop being cheap and tip at least $10. The foot massage is very therapeutic and regular sessions, complete with better diet and exercise, has drastically helped to reduce foot and leg pain.Sometimes I have a man therapist. Sometimes a woman. Depends on my current level of pain. Whatever the case I always leave satisfied. And no not satisfied on some weirdo tip. But satisfied in that my mind and body are fully rejuvenated.
Clean facility and friendly staff. I have been getting Thai massage for many years and I would call this a beginner thai massage that was a combination of relaxing and theraputic. I normally go for zero relaxation and all deep tissue work but this was great. They have 30$ foot massage in a way nicer setting than Chinatown, will definitely be back for that.
They will make you give a $10 tip! I tried to give $5 because it wasnt all that and they finished 7 min early then she said no $5 is not enough at least $10 tip. Then she insisted on putting it on my credit card! Never going back.
NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM THEY HAVE VERY BAD ATTITUDE TOWARDS CUSTOMERS, I WENT FOR REFLEXOLOGY AND INSTEAD OF 30MINS SHE DID 20MINS I ASKED HER AND SHE WALKED AWAY, I ASKED FOR MANAGER SHE STARTED YELLING SO I DECIDED TO RECORD IT BUT SHE YANKED MY PHONE OFF MY HAND. SHE PROCEEDED TO COVER ME WITH TOWEL, I HAD TO RUN FOR MY LIFE.
I wish i could give them minus 10 stars these people dont want to do buisness me and my friend book the appointment for 1 hour massage i wanted foot massage she said she is not interested in providing foot massages because its only 30 dollars but they listed on there store that they provide so if u looking for foot massage only or good service dont go there.
They were ready to help me and offer all their body massage services plans, as soon I asked for a foot massage the 2 girls started to argu in Thai and then I was told no personal was available... Very rude
You can call and make an appointment but that doesn’t mean you won’t have to wait. The massage is poor a best. Just feels like they are ruining people through like cattle.
Worst place ever, is was for me I will give 0 srar, the place is in a bad condition and smell like and old place and ti finis the lady made me give them $40 more as tips. Please don’t waste your time or money going to this disgusting place
Disappointed! It was only 15 minutes of real massage while the rest was rubbing oil. 45 minutes of wasted dollars.
Excellent traditional Thai (walk on your back) massage. Very relaxed after it was done.
Only lasted 35 mins. Twice the girl left the room. Another therapist talked to her through the door. Very upsetting!!!
Good massage but... they intimidate you by forcing to give $10 tip.
They dont seem to care about their customers, the messages Ive had were awful.
Great massage,a very clean place and nice service. I would like to come back again.
She did a great job on the massage. Warmed oil was a plus.
Horrible experience with payment, the guy didnt know how to work the cash register.
Bad place
One of the best Ive gone to.
