Joes Place Bar & Grill

Food was great. Prices were reasonable. Service was good. Atmosphere left something to be desired. Was difficult to enjoy our food when the table next to us was loud and using the f word every other word. The server wasnt much help when we mentioned it to her. Her response was that it was a dive bar and they were regulars and that we should expect to hear the f word every other word. Sorry, wont be back.

Were not that fancy, but they can cook a damn good burger for a great price. Went in on a Wednesday afternoon with the kids which was perfect and not crowded. Big thanks to the bartender who served us and looked like the only one staffed for the afternoon crowd.

Great place for delicious food. Our server was delightful and humorous. Has a bar and casino and many tvs.

Has a small town, country feel to it when you walk in. Country music playing when they dont have a good karaoke setup running. NFL Sunday wings and pitcher deal is a steal and late night atmosphere with friends makes this a great place to swing by for a couple hours.

Love the atmosphere but its pretty divey, perfect for a good burger and cheap beer. Came with the kids during the day, good service and not very busy.

Celebrated my 35th bday here after work. Spent the night playing pool from 7 til closing ..loved this place ..also tried my first bloody Mary. .it was pretty good. Food was bomb. .

I love this place. Old School local vibe with darts, billiards, and plenty of TVs with any game or race on. Best burgers in town, and the wings are top tier. Limited draft beer selection and definitely a bar.

This place is great! The Food the waitresses everything! We started out with Chili cheese fries!! They were soooo good! Then I ordered the Chicken Cordon Blue with potatoe rounders! Everything from the Wraps to the burgers were amazing. There were no complaints from our very large crew!!

Cool Dive bar. The menu says it perfect!! “We’re not that fancy, but we’re a lot of fun”. Big food selection. And reasonably priced.

This is one of those places that you just have to visit to appreciate! The food is great, the service is too! We like the simplicity of the menu, although it is extensive. Something for everyone. Lately we are hooked on the sandwiches. The fries are addictive! Looks like it would serve only adults but kids are welcome during the day hours. Give it a try!

Ok, the Buffalo wings are HUGE! I ordered 10 wings and it looked like I got a full chicken. Took half of it home. Very tasty. Friendly service.

Access via the traffic light at Minnesota St/Hwy 79. Food, drinks, and service is always good. Regular entertainment schedule on the weekends and they host a lot of special events. Always a good crowd at Joes. The bathrooms could use some attention. Definitely a good choice on the south end of town!

I really like this place for what it was. Casual and relatively cheap spot for food, booze, sports. Staff were friendly. A little grungy but I would happily go back.Huge steak salad. Good wings and other diverse assortment of fried fokd. Cheap prices and specials.

Owner, servers, bartenders, everything about this place is negative stars. Dont waste your time on a wanna be-CoUNTRY place. go downtown and have some actual fun.

Ive never had a server who wasnt pleasant or acted like they didnt want to be working at Joes. Great service! I had my favorite...buffalo chicken salad, and my husband had the Philly cheese. He said it was delicious. People always seem to be having a good time at Joes. Great place!

Not much of a karaoke bar anymore. Pretty sad. One singer then one regular song. Does not encourage you to drink or get up and sing.

If youre looking for a good dive/cowboy bar on the outskirts of town, this is your place. Service is always great. Atmosphere is the only reason for the 3 stars. Not my scene. Too many cowboys. If thats your thang, this is the place for you.

Easy enough place to get into and park on side streets when pulling campers on our way out to Hills.Great food and fast service for 6 of us!! Reasonably priced and good ac to cool off! Atmosphere is nice, some tvs, some games, pool table, clean bathrooms! A little hidden gem! Ill recommend to others and definitely come back! Thanks Joes Place!

I love this bar. Ive been coming to it for years for the great food and drinks. But tonight, the magic died a little. The staff was rude.... we had a server that refused to come serve us at our table, and the DJ (NOT Paulie G the other guy) snapped at us when we tried to request songs for Karaoke. Keep in mind this was before 9:30, and we were sober. Im not high maintenance, Ive been a server and a bartender for 20 years, so I understand dealing with drunks and rude people. I was neither of these tonight. Our plan was to spend the evening here, but we left early. We had a good time with our friends, but the staff literally chased us out.

One of the best experiences I have ever had was at this bar. Great atmosphere. Fun friendly staff. This was my first time here but definitely not my last.

Disgusted!! My family and I are on vacation and stopped in for a beverage. It was mid afternoon and the waitress pretty much told us to leave because we had our kids with and weren’t ordering food…. I have never been treated like this in my life. Will never go back.

Was in town for 2 nights and went there for dinner both nights. Food was fantastic and exceeded my expectations! If you go, ask for Abbie. Best and hardest working server they have.

Do not pass up on this place. Great good, great prices. Steak tips will make your knees weak. Watch out for the flyswatting bartender.

I like Joes. The staff is friendly. The food is bomb af and it has the best karaoke in town. However, I wish the would invest in a remodel or relocate to a bigger area. Very run down and dirty. Just needs a little bit of a makeover.

Came here to get the steak, as all the reviews say the food is really good. I got the Sirloin and it was the worst steak I have ever had. The meat was grey and barely had any grill marks on it. It was also not seasoned at all. The fries I ordered with it tasted like the they had been fried in old grease or fried along side other food. The cook came out to socialize a few time with a beer so he clearly doesn’t care about the food quality. Too worried about staying outside the kitchen.

Absolutely love this great dive bar. A little off the beaten path but worth the effort. Food and service has been excellent. This place will become a yearly tradition when visiting the area.

$3 beers!! $4 mixed drinks!! Wonderfully terrible karaoke! Pool tables, darts, decent menu, just dont watch the cook in the kitchen, and youll be fine, and all the belt buckles and lady jorts you could handle! Keep an eye on your drink and your girlfriend. This is the kind of place you might get served a cosbycolada. All in all, its a great place to watch overly intoxicated people desperately try to find ways to fondle each other. Cheers!!

Love this place. But what heck with thr steak tips? Not everybody can leave work even if you are right down the road look forward to this every Friday. Spend money there at least 3 times a week and now cant get steak tips to go even if 1 person is there eating? Doesnt make sense. Poor decision.

I stumbled upon this place about 7 years ago by accident on holidays it was a Friday night and had the best time with so many different people there the food was great and the people singing karaoke were awesome, I live 9 hours away and hope to go back some day.

Food here is incredible! I ordered a bison burger and it was one of the best bison burgers I have eaten. The staff is super friendly, the food is made quickly yet perfect at the same time. I would recommend this place to anyone in the rapid City area.

Went for dinner and time to kick back. Ordered the buffalo chicken salad and it was fabulous! Could have had a little more buffalo chicken but the blue cheese crumble made up for it. Atmosphere and service were great!

On holiday from UK to visit my sis. Popped in here for a few beers and bite to eat. Decent food and beer was $9 a pitcher not $6 a pint like some places we visited. Would go again in a heartbeat

Loved Joe’s Place!! We just check into our room for a few nights & looked for someplace to eat. I am sure we will be back this week!!! Great grilled chicken salad and the fish sandwich was also awesome!!

If I could give it a zero, I would. An older blonde lady waited on us. We waited for an hour AFTER our order...being the 2nd table there and watching 5 other tables follow and seeing 2 begin to receive their food. I asked the nice younger lady where our order was and the older lady came back to tell us she herself forgot to put our order in, in which I replied Are you serious? She replied No, Im trying to be funny in a sacastic and rude manner. There was NO apology and/or NO offer to give us a coupon or discount for sitting there an hour. We left. My husband and I grew up here, have very well known jobs in this community and will NOT support this business any longer. Horrible service. Disgusting.

We have been here twice, and both times the food is good but the service is abysmal. Drinks stay empty, the waitresses are too busy flirting with the bar tender to come take orders or do refills. Getting ticket at the end is a hassle and they disappear for another 15 minutes before finally showing up again to take payment.

Got there too late to try the famed Buffalo, but Ill be back. Friendly staff, karaoke, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Didnt get to stay long, was hangry.. but Ill go again (earlier)

Driven by here many times, but I didnt see how to get there from hwy 79. The entrance is a bit obscure, but the place is much bigger and more interesting than it looks from the hwy. A pretty big menu, too. Lots of nightly specials,. Cool space. Ill be back.

Great bar. Pool tables. TV. Booth and high top tables. Live music weekends. Its survived a lot of changes and ended up better. Food is very good. Very good cook in the back!!

If I could I’d leave no stars, theirs an older lady that works their every time I go in she had a snippy attitude with me and is verry rudeI went in tonight with my friend and she assumed we switched IDs when clearly the picture looked like me she told me if my friend didn’t have an ID that we needed to leave in 5 minutes in a very rude toneDefinitely won’t be back if she’s working theirI walked in , in a good mood I left in a bad mood all I wanted was to have a fun night at a place that was recommended to me , guess not

I had a great burger and fries tonight. A band played some upbeat and fun songs. The staff was attentive and kind. Ill grab a meal from here again.

The food was good but they couldnt get my entire order right they left off stuff, and over cooked my steak. I wont be back any time soon, but the customer service wad phenomenal.

Went to watch Game 7 of the World Series the day before Halloween, and there was trivia. The caller talked bad about baseball the WHOLE TIME and was loud and obnoxious when people there actually cared about the game. Left early. Seemed that the food was on an off-day.

Joes is head and shoulders above any bar/grill in RC as far as quality and selection of bar food and burgers. Has a tornado foosball table.
