Stonewall Warehouse

This place is a little hard to find. Its just across the street from the old court house. If youre in front of the old court house and look across the street at all the nightclubs, the Stonewall is on the right almost on the corner. I went there on a Monday night with a small group from my office for karaoke night. Being Monday night, there wasnt a large crowd but it was still a lot of fun. Everyone was really friendly and there were plenty of Rainbow flags flying. The place is really comfortable with lots to do.

I LOVE THIS BAR! Ive come in so many times and its always so fun and great energy! There seems to be pretty much an all new staff minus a couple. Great drink prices, friendly faces, and all around good atmosphere! Great place to go for a fun drag show or to dance! def worth checking out

Great atmosphere! Fun place to just chill and vibe with friends! The drag shows are always such a good time and entertaining! Their karaoke night is so much fun and welcoming. Cheap drinks and a great bar staff! Most certainly my favorite bar on the square!

My favorite place in San Marcos hands down! I’ve since moved to Austin and I still make the drive down to San Marcos just to visit stonewall. The staff is so nice, the bar owner Lena is incredible, and the entertainment is amazing! I always have a blast when I go to stonewall as an entertainer or just someone looking to have a good time. 10/10 would recommend hands down!

Great place very fun but the staff is extremely rude. kicked us out for not having the X’s on our hands when they use a cheap marker that smears and washes off extremely easily. sorry but we’re still in a pandemic and i am going to wash my hands frequently especially when i’m in a dirty facility with random people. completely would of understood if they kicked us out for trying to order drinks but we were never anywhere near the bar at any time in the night. we were in the restroom and 2 male employees came into the women’s restroom and told us to leave and were extremely rude to us and just assumed we were lying to them and treated us like we were. next time maybe spend more than $2 on a marker if you want it to actually stay on people’s hands?

Manager jumped off the stage and almost broke his ankle. 10/10

This is a review for wildfire since it doesn’t have its own google location yet and it replaced stonewall. It is way too bright. Make slightly darker and it would be perfect.

This is for sure my favorite place on the square! They have an extensive, ready to order drink menu as well as a selection of craft beers. The staff are wonderful and very attentive; Ive never had a problem with them or other patrons. They make sure you are comfortable. Theres also a pool table, an adult claw machine, and a photo booth.

Great place! The bartender was very welcoming and friendly. I think his name is Matt. Really nice fellow.Good music, decent crowd and nice place to have a good time. I like that they have pool tables and games in the back. I would totally recommend checking this place out.

Omg so much fun! The queens are fun and there are lots of different styles of drag. Wednesday has a fun trivia night. Thursday/Friday/Saturday there are full blown shows. The DJs play great dance music and everyone seems really friendly! They even give you a free shot on your birthday on stage! Tons of fun!

Great place to hangout and dance -- especially on Friday/Sat nights. Laid back and non-pretentious crowd. San Marcos is lucky to have such a space for the LGBTQ and ally community. All are welcome here! Support your local gay bar.

Review for WILDFIRE . Way over staff everyone is at the front entrance can’t even walk in nobody knows what’s going on lack of communication or training. Not even what they have in stock or to check but definitely ready to take that cash tip.

Been coming off and on for a few years and dont plan on going back. The staff were going to the restroom a lot which no one has to use the rr 5 times in 30 minutes, was told to go to a different bartender for a drink and they pretty much ignore a nice chunk of people whike talking to their friends and they are not savvy on making actual drinks that require more than 2 ingredients as well as the bar never being actually stocked.

Best, sweetest, and most fun bartenders in San Marcos! Fun place to be out on the Square. Check out their events, you wont be sorry! Just keep in mind, they do get pretty packed.

Great place to go have fun and check out some unique events. Stonewall Warehouse is the only LGBTQ bar in San Marcos and as such offers an awesome partying experience. Great prices on the drinks also by very friendly people!

I love this bar, and for the most part there is great music. The bartenders are knowledgeable, great space for dancing, sexy catwalk and cage. It would be nice though if they would post their events sooner than the day of

Relaxed, fun, open to all walks of life. Great place to meet people, loud enough to party, not too loud to hear the people your talking to, especially under the whole social distancing & mask requirements. People need to understand this place has done an exceptional job in ensuring the health safety of their patrons and get back to normalcy and have a great time! Only complaint- wish theyd update their social media platforms, like Facebook & Twitter on a regular basis. Hard to figure out their daily events, upcoming events, and current events when posts are pre-covid era. If social media is built, the crowds will come!

The best place to drink as an lgbtq+ person in San Marcos. The staff are friendly, the drag queens are fun, and the music slaps! Honestly a local treasure San Marcos cannot live without!

Great bar, inconsistent bar service during the shows. I understand its busy but every time Ive been to the bar during a show I can make eye contact with a bartender and theyll still act like they never saw me until 5 minutes later after helping other customers and taking shots with their friends.

This is my place! Great drink specials and terrific atmosphere. The music is always on point and I love all the drag shows and events they host.

Would of enjoyed the environment if it wasnt for the unethical, unprofessional so called bar tender who so happens to be the manager as well. Would definitely return if owners cared about their customers and expect managers/bartenders to be more professional and attentive js

Over charged on drinks that were very poorly made, then found out days later the bartender added more money to their tip. Currently contacting my banks fraud department to get my money back. Never again, will be telling others of my experience as well. Wonder how many others they have overcharged as well.

Stonewall has always been a wonderful, accepting place. The bar staff is always attentive and nice, and Lena has always made sure people are comfortable and happy.

Dont preform here unless you want things stolen from you. Otherwise its a decent place to get a drink.. probably the only lbgt friendly spot

We were denied entrance because my fiancé was too drunk?? All he did was walk up and show his ID and they said we can’t come in because we were too drunk?

Always an awesome place to go to dance and they have an awesome event calendar! Very active in the lock community and hosts a plethora of event types!

They would not care about an under 21 staying alone in the street because the manager said no more minors in, while all of my under 21 friends got in right before me. Ridiculous.

I will never come to this bar ever again they discriminated against my friend with disabilities the guy at the door wouldnt let him in the club cause his face and ear are deformed my friend has medical condition that has caused him to have a slight stroke and dont know how much he will be here with he had been in hospital got few days ago we where just trying to take him out let him live it up,Im going to post this all over social media and contact media and Lgbt

Arrived around 1120 after waiting for 25 minutes for a drink even though theres only five people at the bar when I finally get my drink I was told that they would be closing soon I dont know who works on Tuesday but the two guys that work on Tuesday or probably the worst customer service Representatives Ive ever seen I would never return to this bar
