I guess I should read the fine print.(which there was none). Our show supposedly started at 9pm but really it was the doors that opened at 9pm. Our act did not get on stage until 12:15am. Stood there for over 3 hours watching a DJ put his gear on auto-pilot and hit the (bra bra braaap) button every 10 seconds. The show was great but yall need to be more clear in the details on when the show actually starts. I basically wasted our whole night waiting for someone to get on stage. Pathetic communication. Likely a way to get people in the door to buy more drinks. I will say, at least the AC worked.
I’m here for a show. There’s a pretty messed up standing situation right now and the staff gave no grace regardless of how overly packed it is. There’s a solution for sure. It’s not even the height of the night yet /: the system and/ or staff need to be fixed.Edit: On my way out they wouldn’t let me take the bottle of water I paid for with me.What the actual hell. I can confidently say that I have never had a worse experience at a venue. My husband told me that they have a reputation for overselling tickets, and many reviews I’ve read say the same. Money is money to these types of business owners. This was first time here and it will be my last.
Myself and some friends flew out from colorado and got to attend an event last night at the marc, the artist were amazing and the crowd really made the venue great. on the other had the staff was nice but by they did end up charging us for waters when at the beginning they we’re seemingly free. the bounce did give us some grief for our out of state ids. but if you attend a show here the crowd is definitely the deciding factor on if you want to go back.
They only have a very basic bar with simple drinks about $10 each and there is an automated tip which is a major turn off. Music was hard EDM if youre into that. The place is small. Overall, men. One the bartenders also had a bad attitude. $30 tickets not worth it.
Been to this venue a few times before. This past weekend was my first time at the venue for a ticketed event. The checkin was smooth. Headliner for the night was Shaq and it was amazing! Lights, confetti, CO2, all of it was well planned out and had the entire crowd loving the show. One thing I did appreciate was that water bottles weren’t jacked up in price. Been to plenty of places were they try to charge $5+ for a bottle. Small things like that make a big difference and thanks to the Marc for keeping them reasonably priced. Definitely will come to more shows!
Not my favorite GA venue but loved getting a table here! We had so much space and great service provided by Lala! She was amazing and very attentive! We love her!
Utterly overpriced. Bouncers are mentally deficient children on a power trip. No redeeming qualities for this trashfire. Go anywhere elseVenue is dirty and overcrowded, I was so happy to leave into the fresh air and go try real venues where fun actually happens.
Big shout outs to Jonas (Tarzan) got hooking me up with water for the people who needed it and serving us so fast!!!!this guy is top notch and definitely is a professional in his career! I am coming back to this venue just for his service thanks buddy and I enjoyed the lazer show!!!!
If you want a bouncers who just turned 21 last week to argue with you about the authenticity of your real ID for 30 minutes just for them to be proven wrong and not apologize then this is your spot! the way they handled this situation was extremely poor and disrespectful. They wouldnt give me the time of day at all until a very kind employee decided to actually use some form of technology to check the legitimacy of my ID. If you guys are so concerned about fakes getting through then maybe consider investing in actual verification technology and not giving douchebag frat boys an hour of ID check training.
Honestly it’s a terrible environment. To start of with the entrance the bouncers and employees are constantly rude and disrespectful. Second of all the bartenders don’t know how to make a drink to save their life. So don’t order anything else other than a redbull and vodka. Lastly, the last time I was there one of the girl bouncers was looking into all the stall in the restroom and while I was sitting on the toilet half unclothed she was looking into my stall to check if I was doing something bad like girly not not everyone going to the restroom is doing something bad some of us actually need to use the actual toilet. Disgusting and very distasteful on their part.
They love to kick people out for no reason. They serve underage. You can pay to be there a they will still kick you out for MINDING YOUR OWN SELF Worst bar on the square for sure!!!!!!!I went for the midget wrestling concert was minding my own business until somebody (Adam) kicked me out because I had a cup of water, and I was under age and had a cup of water. That they gave me. I got kicked out because I had a drink that was water!!!!!!
2 stars for one of the friendly bouncers and a bartender with dreads. shout out to them. to the girl at the front that takes money or tickets & the bartender “taylor”, find a job you enjoy cause this night club is not y’all’s thingyall insist on tips acting like that?
The capacity does not match the floorplan. This was one of the most crowded and disgusting venues Ive been to. Drinks and sound are decent. ZD was amazing!
Went for a graduation party and had so much fun. Its huge with great music and everybody was having a great night.
I never write reviews but the people here are literally awful, I went here for an event and one of the bouncers think they’re god for some reason, yelling and cursing in people faces, the bartenders as well just extremely rude and disrespectful and it was the men only. after 20 minutes of interaction with them I was ready to leave. don’t see myself literally ever coming back there’s too many other places to go. and even if it was the last place on earth I still wouldn’t be back. wish I could give them a big fat 0 star.
Disappointing Experience at The MarcI am writing this to express my profound disappointment following my recent experience at your establishment, The Marc. I believe it is essential to provide feedback so that improvements can be made for the benefit of both patrons and the venue itself.Firstly, the overall atmosphere and ambiance of the club was terrible. It seemed as though the clubs décor and furnishings were outdated, giving off an impression of neglect. Moreover, the service at The Marc was by far from satisfactory. A random female (employee) came up to me and told me “ cute blouse ” and then asked me if my boyfriend was bothering me. I told her NO he’s my boyfriend! Shortly after, the security shoved & pushed my boyfriend out after 40 minutes of arrival because he apparently was not their kind. Not to mention my entire party dropped $90 for the entry fee.**The staff appeared apathetic and uninterested, which negatively impacted the overall experience. It was challenging to get their attention or receive prompt service, resulting in long waits at the bar for drinks. The entire experience at The Marc was a complete joke and avoid this place at all cost 💲 because they didn’t bother to refund us our entry fee $$!Furthermore, the music selection and sound system were subpar. The sound system itself was inadequate, with distorted music and inconsistent volume levels in different parts of the club, leading to a disjointed experience.Lastly, I am disheartened to mention the lack of cleanliness and maintenance observed during my visit. The floors were sticky, and the restrooms were unkempt, creating an unsanitary and uncomfortable environment for guests.I understand that every establishment has its off nights, but the combination of the aforementioned issues severely impacted my night at The Marc.As a customer, I expected a more memorable and enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case.I hope that this feedback is taken constructively as an opportunity for improvement. To regain the trust of your patrons, it is crucial to assess and address these glaring issues. By focusing on the atmosphere, service, drinks and, music selection, and overall cleanliness, The Marc can reclaim its reputation and provide a more enjoyable experience for future patrons.Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback, and I sincerely hope that the necessary changes are made to bring The Marc back to its full potential.Best regards,C
Absolutely phenomenal.Weve been going to shows here for a few years and this place takes the cake. They recently upped their visuals/lights/lasers!!! The sound system is superb. And the bouncers took the fight out immediately. Kudos to the muscle bros who keep it safe 🙏 always stoked to come back
Pleasantly surprised. The staff was super friendly and helpful- security, door guys, bartenders- everyone. I also really like the 2 floor design, it was awesome to be able to see the stage from the balcony upstairs. As a shorty, it’s fantastic to have a view and to feel safe from being pushed around by the crowd. The cons however were the hour long wait in the freezing cold, the fact that the sound was just decent, the automatic 20% tip added to the bill and that the ladies room was small and narrow. Also, I was freezing cold upstairs but it’ll be a major plus once it’s 100°+ outside again. 3.5 stars
Came to the Marc for zeds dead and had a great time. The venue was intimate and the staff was very accommodating.
Drinks are cheap, music is good, but they need to get better at making sure the bathrooms are stocked with soap or hand sanitizer. Was there for few hours on a friday night & told the staff about the empty soap dispensers in the men’s room twice and they were never refilled.
Terrible service, prepare to be waiting for at least one hour for your drink. Venue is very disorganized.
Very smooth operating and clean venue, good size display and good music !
This used to be one of my favorite venues and I’ve been coming here for years. The bouncers are on a power trip and that has made the last two experiences negative for my friends and I.. They’ve lost our business, as there are other venues and we’re willing to go to Austin just to avoid an experience like the one we had last night.
If you’re going here to listen to music and have a great time you’re going to the right place! It is a super cute, small town venue and that means it’s not that big. But it’s really unique and great for a cool edm show. We went on Halloween so it was even more crowded than other nights, but that made it even cooler! So many people there loving the music and the bar lines weren’t that bad either. I’ve waited longer at other places. Would definitely come again, maybe get VIP for the seating, because our legs were tired at the end. I believe you can arrive any time listed on your event ticket and entry is allowed. Some venues don’t allow you in after a certain time but this was great. We didn’t wait in a line at all at 9:45pm for a show that started at 8.
Update: I understand, and Im still bummed about it. One other thing though, I love yall, I love that I feel safe here and that yall host good EDM artists. I would just love if yall had a bigger venue (Im sure would cost a lot and take a lot of time), or not oversell on the shows. I want to be able to headbang and dance with some space. I hate having to be chest to back to everyone else with no room to dance. The music isnt loud enough for the entry acts, for shame.
I have been to a lot of concerts in my day. This place probably has the worst sound quality Ive ever heard in my life. Id be tempted to ask for a refund. Not to mention the horribly over priced alcohol. 22 bucks for 2 shots?????? Like really???? Come on man. Sounds like the music is coming from someones phone or something. If the main attraction of your bar is a stage for music wouldnt the music be good quality??? I dont get it. If someone can explain that would be greaaattttt.
We went to a show during their reopening weekend & had a blast. we came on a trip to austin from colorado and drove down to SM for the show.i’d been trying to contact the club about some ada accommodations, but hadn’t heard back. it turned out that the staff had changed, but as soon as i touched base with the current staff, they made it work seamlessly (specifically KC, who we spoke to, and Troy who we didn’t get to meet) and i’m so grateful they were able to do so since my fiancée was looking forward to the show for over a month.the bar staff & security people were great as well, and the show was awesome. i don’t have previous experience to make a comparison on, but this was worth the trip!
Events here are so oversold the floor is packed shoulder to shoulder and your only chance at having any space is standing in the lobby by the bathrooms with no view of the stage. Wouldn’t come back.
Located in downtown San Marcos. I recommend arriving early to get a good parking space close to this location. There is no parking garage just street parking. The reason why I am giving the location 1 star is because I attended a concert in May. The staff was so disorganized. I paid for VIP which included early entrance at 6:30pm. We were not allowed inside until 8:12 and the show was suppose to start at 8pm. What was the point of noting early entry if you are not going to follow it.It was 90 degrees outside, poor guy in front of me shirt was dripping in sweat by the time we went inside. We were told to stand in 3 different areas being VIP. Once inside the floors were sticky. You had hours to prepare for this show, why are your floors not clean? Im sorry but it was a horrible experience for me. I think better organization could help the next time. Sadly I wont be going back to find out.
This place plays awesome music. It’s just obnoxiously crowded to the point where it takes 15-20 minutes just to get one drink. They have a whole second floor, but they refuse to open it unless you get bottle service. Which is understandable, but if your first floor is so crowded to the point you can’t even move, open the second story up!!! Not only will you give us patrons more space, you’ll be able to sell MORE drinks at the upstairs bar. And they also kick everyone out 15 minutes before closing. My group stayed for about 5 minutes till we decided it was just too crowded to even dance and have a good time.
I’d been to this venue years ago for a show and had a good time. I was excited to try it again and went last night with a couple friends. Overall, the experience was great except for a power-tripping, tiny man bouncer that stole my vape out of my hands. It’s interesting that it happened the way it did because I saw one of the bartenders take a pull from her vape just minutes before he snatched it out of my hands. Needless to say, I don’t think he stole it while trying to make the space safer and only uses his minor job role to bully others. I definitely won’t be back.
Drove for an hour. Came to show with my camera, the check-in bouncer said “you can’t being that in here.” Nowhere on The Marc’s website or Ticket issuer did it state that. I didn’t think this was a bid deal. I said fine, “give me a refund” as I wasn’t going to wait for the performer 3 hours to go up onstage and leave my camera in a car in a foreign city. The manager comes out and says “We dont issue refunds it’s on our website.”Double standards.Never going to The Marc. It’s mismanaged.
Very bad experience, one of the bouncers decided to step on me and push me just so he can get through then he started yelling at me saying I was a “bitch” and decided to kick me out for no reason. He said a slur to me. I felt very disrespected. I’ve been going to the Marc for so long and this time they really disappointed me.
Recently came to a music show here, the venue was PACKED TO THE BRIM, it was incredibly uncomfortable and just stressful given how large the space is.After talking to a friend I learned that this venue frequently oversells tickets, this place is one bad night away from seriously injuring someone.
People that run the place allow security to be on a power trip at this venue. Additionally, they play terrible music on a regular basis. When they have concerts, they markup by 50% their prices on drinks the whole night , as well as, the concert headliner will not actually appear on stage until well into the last hour of operation or not at all. For instance, Maxo Kream was supposed to perform last night, perhaps he did, we don’t know because we stayed until 1:05 am last night to see if he would take the stage, but could not make it because of how bad it was to listen to other performers that need to get it straight, FIND A DAY JOB.
This place has gone downhill… don’t even bother. There’s a nicer bar around the corner called Nephews.
Plenty of room to dance open deck night 🙏
Good venue with a great sound system, good shows. That being said, the rudest and most unprofessional staff of any venue Ive ever been to. Every time Ive been here has been a disaster of additional cover charges on top of the ticket price, and bartenders, bouncers, and administration that treats all of its customers like dirt.
Really cool place with great sound. Not very big, but its a fun place. Beer is cheap and the service is fast. Lots of good TX artists perform here.I couldnt find a hotel within walking distance though. There is a bed and breakfast nearby, but there aint no way Im staying at one of those! :)
Went to see JAWNS tonight. I don’t drink just went to enjoy the music and people. I have sever social anxiety and hand sweats are a part of that. So after two and a half hours of jumping around in a crown of over 200 people. Easy to say my hands were sweaty and half of my marker on my hand rubbed off (given I’m 19 and needed a mark showing I was under 21) and out of no where I’m told to get out by one of the staff memebers. My friend tried to explain and he refused to listen and through me out. Sad I wasn’t able to see the headliner. And the best part was the marker was completely visible on my hand still the whole time. So thank you to the large man in the blue shirt for ruining my night
DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE DISABLED! There are no accommodations & the owner goes on a power tripI drove 30 hour round trip just to go to a show here and be harassed the whole time by the owner and security. I’m disabled and federal ADA (Americans with disabilities Act) law requires venues to have a safe space for disabled people to sit & see the show. Well I asked the venue for a chair and a safe space & the owner got so mad at me. Yelling at me to ‘call the feds’ because he doesn’t care about accommodating the disabled to federal standards. I have debilitating fatigue and a handful of other issues, since they denied me a chair I sat on the floor for a breather, security came up to me and told me I wasn’t allowed to sit on the ground despite me explaining it was a medical issue. There was one nice security guard who noticed me crying and distressed & he brought me a stool, just for the owner to order another employee to take it away from me! After more crying the nice security guard was able to set me a stool near the merch stand. A handful more security guards harassed me for sitting through out the show. I would give zero stars for the venue if I could.
A joke. Security by the name of Jonas took it too personal and had his security buddy’s team up on me, regardless of me doing anything “wrong” what seemed to be the manager would not even hear me out even tho I was very calm and respectful just wanted to state his side very one sided convo
The bouncers stole $300 out of my wallet when I dropped it, also let’s in any minor that walks through the door.. cockroaches are all over the bathrooms.
Absolutely horrible and very rude staff, one of the male bouncers made a misogynistic comment that on my top that I was wearing. The second bouncer took my friends ID without hardly checking even though it was a real and valid ID he further threatened to get police involved, and because we were surrounded by two other very aggressive bouncers we did not feel comfortable to continue on with an argument.
1 star only because I cant go lower. When our tickets say an 8pm showtime, and the customer calls to confirm, making people wait on the exhaust-filled sidewalk until 8:50pm and having half the club closed off seems a little less than customer service-oriented. Oh yeah, and the guy who answered the phone was none too keen to provide an intelligent answer to the question of when the club opened tonight. Not a pleasant experience for those outside of the college town crowd! Duly noted.Have to add: the staff here should not only be aware of their clubs rules, but apply them uniformly throughout the venue. Telling one patron they are doing something not allowed while permitting the same behavior 10 feet away is unprofessional and flat out rude.
This place had a smooth check in. Nice lights and speakers and stuff. I’m pretty upset that my boyfriend told me that there’s no doors in the male’s room. Feels like an invasion of privacy, and discriminatory as the female restrooms had doors.
Went for the Blue October concert last night (7sept2021) way overbooked with too many people, you couldnt even move, got there at 5 to do the mandatory covid testing stood in line for an hour and a half to do that, then had to wait for another almost 2 hours to even get our wristbands, it was so crowded that we couldnt even get in and had to sit outside where you couldnt even see the band! Very disappointed. I will definitely be seeing Blue October again just never at The Marc. The highlight of the evening was watching the girl freaking out because she slipped and fell in all the urine on the bathroom floor 😳
Got a VIP table at a Yellow Claw rave, we only saw our bottle girl one other time after our first round. You cant smoke, so you have to go outside.. and not just out a side exit.. like back out the front where you showed your ticket. After I went out twice during the show to smoke, I was told I would not be let back in if I went out again. They opened the VIP section up to GA after a couple hours anyway. Expensive asf too! Over $1200 with 3 vodka bottles and a few redbulls... DO NOT buy a table here! Would have rated a 1 but the view is ok. F**k this place, just buy GA
Was in line to get merch and was literally the last person in line and got told I couldnt buy anything. I was just wanted to get a cup and a shirt from my favorite band but some power tripped jerk decided to take it from me. Also there was a surprising amount of people smoking and vaping in side the venue. I wasnt trying to drink at all, but was told since I was a minor I couldnt even get a coke???
All the 5 star ratings are fake, they said theyd give out free tickets if you give them 5 stars! If they didnt do that everyone would practically rate it 1 star because thats what they deserve. My boyfriend and I have been a couple times. The first time was for Rich Homie Quan, but none of the staff bothered to mention that he had cancelled. They didnt even say anything on Twitter etc.. My boyfriend ended up having to pay and extra 10$ for the stupid cover charge for no reason! We seriously wasted 4 hours, all because they failed to get out the word of a cancellation. The event host also didnt say anything except in an email about 30 minutes before the show would have started! We then went the following day for Hucci because we had already bought the tickets. Again with the stupid cover charge for anyone under21. I dont understand why they charge extra after already purchasing the tickets. We told the guy we had no cash and he was telling us sorry youll have to pay, bullshit I wasnt about to pay again for no reason. But, DJ Gamma told us to go ahead. Finally someone nice at The Marc for a change.i had a decent time at hucci only because Hucci is my favorite trap artist. If youre planning to waste money then go here, but if not then dont even spend a dime. Go to Vulcan Gas Company in Austin or just any other venue.
Itd be great if the business fails, and this place is taken over by a new owner!
This is the worst venue Ive ever been to. Ive been to the Marc on two occasions. only reason I came back the second time was because Rich Homie Quan was headlining. So I show up at 9 and the door man was completely unresponsive. He didnt ask for my tickets, ID or anything he just stood there in front of the door. So I stuck both out at the same time not knowing what he wanted and he simply said hands so I turned my palm face down and he drew two xs on both of my hands to show I was under 21. Okay nothing too out of the ordinary yet, right? Wrong. I walk past the door man and continue on to the front desk where a guy tells me its a 5 dollar cover for minors (Im 19) I explain to him Im not a minor, and regardless, there was no cover charge on the flyer for the event. I will attach a picture of the official flyer if I can or you can google it, Rich Homie Quan The Marc Apr. 1st 2016. He says no its a 5 dollar cover its been on the flyer since we made them. He says this with a very rude tone. At this point Im tired of arguing with him because Ive got a show to get to, and 5 dollars to me is really nothing but this guy is probably just pocketing the cover because hes obviously a broke-a$& college student or more than likely a college dropout who never left San Marcos. I hand him a small wad of one dollar bills I had in my pocket to cover my girlfriend and I. I turn around and there is a female wearing normal clothes with her hand in her pockets who tells me tickets ( its all one word sentences with these people) . So my girlfriend gets the tickets off the app she has on her phone and hands it to the girl who glanced over both of our two tickets but didnt scan anything, just looked. I could have handed her the tickets from the show we went to previously a few months back and Im 99 percent sure we would have made it in just fine. So Im finally done dealing with the front door cretins/panhandler and we walk down the stairs toward the stage. A DJ is on stage playing a variety of rap songs off his computer. Okay I thought, we are waiting on more people to show up or something. Literally from 9pm to about 11:30, yes people, 2 and a half hours goes by and this DJ is still up there playing songs off his computer and talking over the music annoyingly like Hip Hop Djs do. Then Some no name 2-man rap group called Yung Nation finally come through the black curtain at the back of the stage. Finally something to soothe the boredom, or so I thought! They begin playing their songs that are sub-par to say the least. Oh, and one of the guys mics was so fuzzy and distorted you absolutely could not make out what he was saying. This went on for 30 mins until someone finally has the sense to say hey, the sound isnt right lets fix it. So they get off stage and the sound guys are trying to fix the problem, and everyone rushes outside to go smoke a cigarette, myself included. I also made a point to walk to Jack in the box where my car was parked to check on it make sure it didnt get towed, because the only parking by the Marc is 2 hour parking only. So Im walking to the car with my girlfriend to check on it and Im gone maybe 15 mins. We walk back and there is a long line of people waiting to re-enter the venue, I presume. I assume position at the back of the line and 10 minutes passes until we get to the door. They are putting wristbands on people for reason other than to try to keep track of who is all there halfway through the show.We get to the front and he asks to see our ID again. We show him and he says, under 21 Cant come in. excuse me? I paid for the VIP tickets and their bullsh!t cover and they dont even let us in? The door man said RHQ didnt even show up. I check twitter after were rejected at the door and nobody said anything about RHQ not showing up until 7pm that same day, 2 hours before the show. unprofessional, unorganized, rude, opportunistic, and a downright disgusting place. Do not come here for anything, I warned you. Stay at home and go on YouTube or something
They won’t let me in because the manager likes me and I turned him down… petty
One of my favorite south Texas venues, I don’t think there is a better venue till you get to Dallas or Houston. Always great vibes and the sound never disappoints!
This isnt a big place but on the inside they make it feel very roomy and atmospheric. I saw Marshmellow preform live here and he absolutely killed it, the full light show and visuals were there and all worked flawlessly inside the Marc. Great experience, cant wait to see more live shows here!!
This is a club / bar in a college town and should be reviewed as one. A place where you go to turn up. If you enjoy getting rowdy, taking shots and dancing like a fool then this is the place to go. This isnt the greatest music venue in the world, as far as music venues go Id say its average. 2.5/5 stars for anything other than electronic music. For EDM Id give it a 3.5/5 because of the sound system. As a CLUB though, definitely 4/5.I always see some white girl thats had one too many four lokos before she came out wasted off her ass twerking on the floor trying to grab her 15 seconds of fame. One time this black girl with a booty so out of this world tried grinding on me, I had no clue what to do other than prey she didnt knock my ass over. I mean Im white. I dance like a white boy you know what Im saying? I can do a little bit of the C-walk but sometimes it turns into a little 2 stepping action. To this day Im convinced that had I been able to tame that beast of a booty she could have turned me out. Id be in the church next Sunday singing gospel songs with her, we could of had a future! Call me.If you want drinks dont go to the top bar or the bar to the right of the stairs. Go to the left bar at the bottom, its always got the shortest lines by far.In conclusion this is a college club / bar and should be treated as one. They have a stage and sometimes host live shows but it probably wont be the best live experience youve ever had. If youre going out with a group of friends to turn up though, theres a reason this place has long ass lines, and its not because it sucks.
I drove over an hour to see an artist that Ive been into for years and found myself being escorted out for being too drunk when Ive been sober for almost 3 years, but m I was shoved to the ground outside... This resulted in a fractured wrist and bruises to my face! The security here are inexperienced. Only here for the music 🙏
Way overpriced. $5 Shiner tallboy and their $2 whiskey special was gross bottom shelf stuff. Its a good place to dance and meet people, but also loud and often overcrowded
Top 10 spots to go party at in Austin area hands down. #1 spot in San Marcos. Always a good time there & they have great shows
My favorite concert venue in Texas. Laid back security, good ppl and great music. Gets kinda packed but what do you expect when like 90% of the shows there are sold out!
I was having such a great time with my friends, never been here before and he told us to get out of the way and it was honestly so rude never been so disrespected like that so never again, thank u Shawn for that experience. (-:
I love Latin night at the Marc! But it’s LATIN night. They should incorporate more Latin artist. I am from VENEZUELA and they only play cumbias and Bad Bunny. What about Danny Ocean, Rauw Alejandro, TINI, Quevedo, Paulo Londra.
This is one of the best venues in South Texas for EDM. Ive seen many great shows here and I love driving up here from SA. In fact will be coming back in February for a bad ass show. Love it!
HONESTLYYYYYYY. Wtfff. Homeboy at the front does wayyy too much. Literally asked me to pull out my Apple settings just to prove my ID. I also saw him talk to some girls very inappropriately. Was using curse words, and being extremely disrespectful. He was extremely short and wearing a cowboy hat. He’s in the picture LMAO
Visiting place organised by university San Marcos Ted x people, very unfriendly people for no reason we were kicked out of the place it was obvious that there was a brake on the Ted x talk. Not to mentioned dress code that was posted on the site. Try to avoid university San Marcos Ted x independed shows they will be run by sloppy and not friendly people
Other than the girl at the front (inside counter) having a stank ass attitude, it was an enjoyable show. If it weren’t for her insistently negative energy and eye rolls, it would have been 5 stars.
The staff at this venue has a collected intelligence of a bucket. Very rude and unprofessional ufc wanna be boys. Love the venus for shows it very personal cause its small
Bartenders charge different prices for same drink. Security is rude and unhelpful.
The workers are very racist, me and my friend were discriminated against and not let in even though my ID is real. Was told “we don’t let your kind inside”
If you dont like being in a crowd, DO NOT go on saturdays!! Lol that place gets JAM packed!! Lol but its still a nice place with an upstairs inside balcony area. And the music is always new and fun😄
Bottle area literally spat on people on the floor and I was basically told to deal with it. They will never see a cent of my money again. Get bent.
Every show Ive gone to here the staff is super unorganized like they just woke up and went to place with no idea what is going on. Ive gone to the location multiple times and everytime someone is trying to get in because they know someone . The place overall is OK but the staff could be better.
What an amazing venue!! The sound system is incredible and the lights are top of the line! I’ve had many great experiences here
The remodel is crazy. Special venue. Can’t believe this exists in San Marcos. Shout out Troy for taking good care of us!
Tiny space, floors are always sticky, they over sell tickets so you can hardly move
Mediocre rating because the openers do NOT reflect whos actually playing... crowd killer forsure. other than that its a great venue
Got tickets for an 8:30 show. Waited outside for over an hour with zero communication from the staff, this is one of the most unorganized venues Ive ever come across.
The DJs they get to play at this club on the regular amazes me. Really great music, in a cool small city downtown location.
This place was ok until I came back on the same night and a different guy working the door some big guy tall threaten me that he was going to fight me because I had told him that I was already in there Im there every Tuesday and my friends were still in there he said he wouldnt let me in because of my tattoos I had told the guy that Im always in there and he is the first person that has ever told me that he was very rude very unprofessional and they should really think about getting that guy out of there
They add $10.01 to every single ticket sale for no reason with no warning until checkout. Disrespectful to the artists and the fans!
The Dj is trash… a deaf person could do a better job. Don’t know what’s the big deal about this place 👀
If I would give it 0 stars I would. They kick people out for “ Taking off your Mark “ on your hands… and they’re still on
Had a great time when I went for my 21st. Almost got in a fight. Got free shots and a shout out in the club.
So happy to have live shows back! Support local businesses! Great service and atmosphere!
Awful djs every time i’ve been here
Staff is horrible & drinks are not very good but they do have good performances there every so often.
Good spot for shows. My only gripe is when it is sold out, it gets a little too packed.
All time favorite venue with the best artists and hospitality
DIDNT LET 21 OR UNDER IN AFTER 12. Wouldve been nice to know since I bought a $30 ticket for nothing!
Drinks are over priced but it does have good music and great atmosphere
Beto was champagning. I had voted that day and eanted to meet him
We just came for a Texas Music Scene taping, enjoyed it.
Can be fun, usually too crowded for my taste.
Too small. Everyone comes out drenched in sweat from the elbow to elbow crowds.
TUESDAY NIGHT ARE THE BEST NIGHTS HERE !! 1 DOLLAR TEQUILA SHOTS !!
The best place to go on a Tuesday !! best drink specials !!
Very nice place, but could definitely be improved!
Great atmosphere good bar tender service

Disgusting violations against ADA and cruel ableist behavior.
Awesome venue. Nice staff.
Nothing, waited in line for hours, no one directed lines, rude staff.

Dollar Dos. Enough said.
Okay music venue
Good oranges
I had such a great experience when i went on a wednesday, but unfortunately when i went today it was so below what i had expected. the dj was absolutely terrible and had a bad attitude the entire time. i waited an hour plus in the line just to leave 15 minutes after i got in the marc. i had invited a friend because when i had gone before it was so hype but when i went today everybody was standing around and NOT dancing because of the terrible music they were playing. we were giving suggestions and the dj wasn’t listening and took offense to the negative feedback that was made. i will go again but NEVER on a saturday.
Ches ogts took me out just because of my appearance.
