Golden Door

I’ve visited three times for coed week. I’ve had some amazing experiences. I have stopped going because the focus turned a little too fitness and weight loss intense. There are different spas more suited to me.

My experience visiting Golden Door was amazing! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the staff and felt like I was part of the family. The rooms were beautiful, the amenities top-notch, and the spa services were incredible. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, and I especially enjoyed the outdoor yoga classes and the miles of hiking trails. All in all, spending some time at Golden Door was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Absolutely transformative, Mens Week was nothing short of a revelation. The culture between staff and guests is unmatched and what ultimately transcend the experience beyond just the gorgeous amenities, tantalizing food, and luxurious treatments. You feel truly a part of something that is both new & exciting, yet so comforting and familiar. Your stay is perfectly curated, while still offering you the space to write your own adventure, a Goldilocks balancing act of structure and freedom that allows you to be in the drivers seat at times and just go along for the ride at others. While health and wellness are absolutely paramount to the experience, the underlying theme of being present and living more deliberately carries over beyond your stay, woven into the tapestry of fever-dreamlike memories from a time to remember forever. I loved it there and it may have even loved me back, as crazy as that sounds. I highly recommend.

Heaven on earth. I wish I could live there. Its absolutely gorgeous, the food is wonderful, the classes interesting and transformative, and I met so many interesting people. I agree with the reviewer who said to take note of the fact that the bad reviews were all from people who never stayed there!

I am profusely disappointed in my Golden Door experience and I would NOT recommend it. I suggest you find another retreat if you do not want to waste your valuable time.My father recently died unexpectedly and I decided to book with Golden Door to heal and invest in my holistic health. I chose Golden Door primarily because of the alleged bathhouse. After booking once for January, the staff notified me that the bathhouse would not be ready. I then rebooked a second time in February after multiple employees confidently assured me that the bathhouse would definitely be available for use during my stay. Then an email was sent saying this was no longer true, indicating this organization lacks integrity and accountability. Golden Door then said the next available dates were in April. This means I have already rebooked my stay THREE separate times. Three separate times I have adjusted my personal and work schedule/appointments around false information and ever-changing retreat dates.This was supposed to be a relaxing spiritual retreat and instead has become a nightmare of headaches, emails, phone calls, and constant rescheduling. I have put more time and energy into this than I would like or deem necessary. It is extremely unfortunate that this organization does not value integrity, accountability, or respect for their customers time, especially given the cost ($11,000/week) customers pay for these services. Please be better.

Ive been here twice now, and its been an amazing week both times - energizing, relaxing, fun, educational. The instructors and staff are incredible - special shout out to Johnnie, whose yoga and breathwork classes were some of the best. Thanks for a fantastic experience!

Amazing place! I hope that anyone reading these reviews really looks at the negative ones because they’re not from guests!! They’re from disgruntled people who have had some random experience. Everything about Golden Door is exceptional.

Hidden away in Twin Oaks Valley, the Golden Door has gorgeous grounds and rooms with a contemporary zen feel. The service is personalized and the staff is always friendly and willing to go above and beyond for you. They have an organic garden, extensive orange and avocado groves, honey from their own bees, 5 star cuisine and spa treatments, as well as fitness, hikes and wellness classes.

My mom and I hopped on a jet and quickly flew here for a couple of days from a busy work week. The experience was energizing - we felt so refreshed and more relaxed after the spa treatments/retreats. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We came to this “Luxury Resort” reading all of the reviews of everyone saying that the staff is great... I would like to say that out experience was the exact opposites that. We had absolutely no energy in our Tesla car and they advertise that they do have them. We later found out they would not let us in to charge. Not even a little bit get to the place that we needed to go to... so definitely don’t count on these people to help you out because they won’t. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a place that is so inhuman that they literally will leave out outside of there gate when you are out of fuel and let u just stay stranded. Ridiculous... not ever planning on coming back. Good Luck.

I visit the Golden door every year! What a wonderful place! I like to visit the Golden door in the end of the year to set my intentions for the new year!They have amazing hikes with breathtaking sunrises! 😍I couldnt recommend this place enough!

My peaceful place for 25 years, the appeal of the beautiful Door is in its wonderful people, its relaxed attitude, and its extraordinary setting. Chef Greg also does a wonderful job on the food. All together, a powerful experience for refreshing the soul.

This place is a little bit of heaven on earth! The grounds are taken care of to perfection, the staff is so friendly and helpful. I went here with a sprained ankle and thru the week I worked with trainers, masseuse, and professional healers and doctors to make it possible for me to go on a hike on the mountain!The food is scrumptious, they give you 3 options per meal OR you can tell them whatever you want and they will make it for you! I have never seen such accommodations to peoples specific dietary request and desires! Chef is spectacular at using his fresh farm ingredients to make healthy, totally delicious meals! You have a choice of calorie counts for the week to follow and I promise you wont even know they are restricted!They offer a variety of classes to improve yourself and expose yourself to different things that you havent been before. Astrology, diet classes, hypnosis, eating for health, chakra, many forms of meditation, acupuncture, cooking class.. and the list goes on and on. You can choose what interests you and skip what you dont they tell you to follow your own path.Workouts- there is a morning hike every morning of different intensities to choose from, you get your own personal trainer, and many classes to choose from including in the gyms and pool.The guest services are attentive to whatever you may need and are so friendly in assisting you.They have spa treatments that are not only luxurious but educational too and the pampering is nonstop!I came hoping to improve my ankle, get a dietary plan and an exercise program to go home with. I got all that and more! I learned things I didnt even know I would be exposed too and I lost 8 lbs for the week I was here. :)Highly recommend and will return!

Lovely atmosphere! I like their spa products so much, I still order them consistently. It’s not often that a spa has house-brand products that perform better than other luxury brand skincare. I’m impressed!

I have not stayed there. I have done subcontracting work here. I can tell you that the attention to detail is incredible and they demand the best from their employees

Was very disappointed that such a successful establishment would opt out a small business out of operation after 50 years because all of a sudden they have trade marked the name GOLDEN DOOR.THEIR MOTIVE IS TO DESTROY A WELL ESTABLISHED SMALL BUSINESS I WEST LITTLE ROCK, ar.

The fitness staff is knowledgeable and very helpful, the food is perfect and the area is so beautiful. Will be coming back.

Top notch service. Staff goes above and beyond. Worth the money. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place.
