I went to the IO location about 5 weeks ago for a deep tissue massage due to neck and shoulder soreness. Towards the end of the session I felt something in my ribcage pop and even pointed this out to the young man giving the massage. Since this time I have continued to have excruciating pain in that area. I’ve had imaging done twice, and an ER visit. I can’t lift my toddlers, have been terminated from my position as a swim instructor, required babysitters and for my husband to use his sick days at work to help me out with our children. When I called to find out what I needed to provide in order to terminate my contract, the manager I spoke to could not have cared less. When I inquired about receiving a refund for the billing cycle that went through a few days ago, she said I was still obligated to pay. Due to the power outage, this location was not even open during this time.With that being said, I am deeply disappointed in Massage Envy and would not recommend this company.

The 60 min massage where I added a couple of extras (foot exfoliation and tension relief) lasted only 50 mins including the extras. They asked for gratuity at check in before I even had the massage. When you face up they put nothing on your eyes. The massage was just not enjoyable I asked it to be Firm, she went deep tissue at the beginning and my back hurts today...she did not do the front of my legs or arms. It was just a weird and different experience that I had from any other massage place I have had.

I had a gift card. Booked my appointment online. 90 minute massage. My massage was amazing and relaxing. When I left I’m told I have $10 left over. I take that to mean still remaining on the card which I was puzzled by considering the amount the card was for. The $10 then turned into $13 & I was informed that’s what I still owed. I said wait, I booked online and the price was to be $113 plus my add on for aromatherapy so $123. I’m told oh, they didn’t tell you when you checked in? It does that but it’s not the right price.So you’re aware of this and still allow bookings online without informing customers? I paid and left a tip but let the front desk know I expect a call from a manager. I’m still angry and not sure how one expects to do business this way. Especially with the competition you have in the area. Hoping someone will call me to make this right considering the last 2 massages I’ve had here have been wonderful.

The masseuse was absolutely wonderful and always has been but the staff in the front has ensured that I will not be returning. I have had a membership for almost 5 years, with no problems. Last night after setting up a massage for a friend and gifting them one of my hours the front desk staff decided my hour didnt apply and charged me full price. He was going to sign up for the membership but the front desk said he had to sign up under my account and I had to pay for that too, she wouldnt let him add his own payment information. She was rude, unhelpful and would not provide her name or her managers nam . Instead of having a great experience for my friend, someone fully really to purchase a membership, they lost his and my business. Go somewhere else if you value respect.

My wife loves this place. Shes been going to this location for years and has her a favorite masseuse. The place is kept clean and the staff is friendly. Pricing is about average for a spa. If you plan on going once a month or more, it might be wise to invest in their membership.

I would give negative stars if i could. I spoke to a manager Valentina about a gift card for my mother. Seems like the manager was there fussing at the employee working the desk. Swiped my card & she said it was declined. It was definitely charged. Then she argued with me about the charge saying it wasnt. Her words If you dont have the money to pay for a gift card then come back when you do Her staff there looked at her cuz im assuming iy really was charged. Manager walked off & the employee stated that the manager always does things like this to customers & treats the staff horribly. I wont ever return. Called the bank to dispute the charge

WORST MASSAGE ENVY LOCATION! Management is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I was visiting this location once a week for several months and spending $100 at each visit until I was told I could not pay with $100 bill because of suspected fraud. This location has my credit card and license on file so I’m not sure why they were scared I would be using a counterfeit $100 bill. They send out a reminder text that you have to cancel by 8 PM the day before but if you don’t give more than 24 hours notice they charge you for the massage, makes zero sense. It’s a shame because Kristopher is an incredible therapist but not worth dealing with the management.Update: I did reach out via the portal over 4 months ago and was called/berated by the exact manager that I was trying to complain about.

Trent is an expert at what he does . He gave me a one hour full exfoliation foot massage. He has been doing this for 10 years. Hes fully licensed and insured I would recommend anyone to get a foot massage or full body massage . I only concentrated on my feet and calves. I am impressed by the detail and dedication he puts it his craft! If I had 10 hands he would get 20 thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Keep up the great work Trent. .. the desk assistances were kind and courteous .. overall very clean place.

The companys cancellation policy is atrocious. They force you to walk into the office that you signed up to physically sign papers, and they charge an extra payment within 10 days of termination. They also put all sorts of limits on what you can do with your leftover credits that you already paid for. Clearly, their business model is more about trapping people into their subscriptions than pleasing their customers.

Went today for my first massage at this location. The treatment and service I received was phenomenal. Tina was my therapist and I couldnt have been happier. Her pressure was perfect and her ability to read my bodys reaction was incredible. I started a membership today and am very pleased with my decision!

I received a gift massage from my daughter and I was so excited! I was, however, a more than a little disappointed because I didnt know I had to mention that I wanted a relaxing massage. (I thought all massages were supposed to be relaxing) The therapist was very nice but the massage was painful and I couldnt wait for it to be over. (even though I told him it was too hard) I dont get massages very often and I was really looking forward to that one... Ill be sure and specify in the future that I want it NOT to hurt.

I typically visit Hand and Stone, and I do prefer it. My masseuse was a very kind woman. She did a wonderful job and I have a feeling she is under appreciated. There are 2 reasons I only give this place 3 stars:They have a lounge located in the back where you wait for your appointment. The people waiting do not respect the quiet rule (at least not during my visit). It’s very odd to leave a massage and walk through this room stuffed with people.Second reason is the front staff. They were so very kind initially, however they forgot to give me my add ons and did not seem very apologetic about it when I brought it up. This is a cute little spa, but it’s not enough to convince me to leave my favorite place.

The reason Im leaving one star is because of the front desk I went in Saturday for a facial. front desk was amazing and this was my first time there, they informed me about everything. Sunday was my massage. Dont ask me why, I do not know why I couldnt get them both done in the same day, but thats besides the point. The front desk horrible.horrible service this is the reason I will not come again. Facial and massage excellent front desk on Sunday very horrible they gave me misinformation I had to recheck my receipt to make sure that i didnt get charged for a service I asked for but did not get. The girls very short when answering questions. Printer not working so I couldnt get an automized receipt. A as a master colorist and Ive been in this beauty industry for over 20 years I would have expected more from the crew on Sunday. But the ladies that were helping me Saturday when I went to go get my facial Brittany at the front desk I cant remember the girl that was working with her they were amazing, my facial specialist Megan very very good. gave me lots of good information told me what was best for, me didnt sugar coat anything and she also didnt try to upsell or get me to get add-ons just because she gave me what I needed and what I wanted and I greatly appreciate that. But sorry to say the girls from Sunday is the reason why I will not be back.

I used to have a membership here three or so years ago. As far as the massages go, they were pleasant and the masseuses every time were very nice and relieved whatever pain I was feeling in my body. That is where the three stars come in. For around $50-70 a month (I can’t quite remember) I got several massages. This was nice. Here is the bad part. At the time of sign up I was just attempting to try out the place. They persuaded me after getting my first or second massage in to signing up for a membership. I remember how pushy the guy was I talked to and how he kept telling me I would have no obligation. Stupid me, I was so relaxed from the amazing massage the lady had given me I decided not to read all the fine print that stated I was signing a one year contract. A few months down the road I decided to call it quits as I was moving and also didn’t feel the need for Massage Envy anymore. Once calling the place I was told that I could not cancel without paying the rest of my contract out and that I couldn’t even switch locations because my “deal” was at this location only. Completely angered I essentially told them to screw off and stopped all future payments from my bank with the company. For months I was sent collection letters, etc. threatening my credit and what not until about a year later I received a letter in the mail regarding a class action lawsuit against Massage Envy that I was included in (Just Google it). Massage Envy had apparently done this to many people and had gotten sued for it. They were forced to forgive my balance for unpaid months and send me money back for every month I paid for that I didn’t use the service (Three months). While my issues with the company are resolved I will never trust this place again and definitely haven’t forgotten.

Excellent staff and customer service. They are never pushy with sales like other locations. Place is always kept clean with a relaxing atmosphere. Most massage therapists are very skilled with great techniques, ask for therapists that specialize in desired technique. Shane is the best massage therapist they have for relaxation.

Went to this location yesterday and had Christopher. LOVED him and highly recommended! He focused on the areas that were in need due to medical issues and a recent car accident.However, I really wish they wouldnt try and sell you right after you come out of your massage and take away the relaxing feeling that you were just in because you then have to get anxiety about it. I usually wouldnt have so much of an issue about this seeing as I used to be in the same position years ago, but as soon as I put my foot down that I wasnt purchasing a membership that day after her sales pitch, she got completely disinterested in me and stopped paying attention to me when I havent even finished paying and tipping. Created this whole unnecessary awkward moment for me that I will not be back to this location and will take my business elsewhere when Im ready to purchase a membership.

What an interesting concept to be inable to make an appointment because you have a massage therapist that only specializes in deep tissue and cannot massage any other way. Called for an appointment. All they had was a deep tissue person. The person I was making an appointment for prefers somewhere between medium and deep tissue. I asked if he could do the massage closer to medium? Woman on the phone said no, and so they lost a two hour appointment. Bizarre to me that they cannot accommodate. I’m assuming Bussiness must be so good that they turn people away due to the inability to mildly adjust to the comfort of a consumer. Call the another massage location just 2 miles away and they were able to accommodate and book the appointment. Not the best experience for me with this institution.

I was seen by Dominique a few weeks ago and it was the worst massage I’ve ever had. I’m mad that I wasted one of my membership massages with her. I was excited for my massage that day since she had great reviews but right from the beginning she greated me with the coldest face and attitude. I will say was 2 minutes late but I felt like she was almost “punishing me” for that by being rude. To begin with, she asked me to undress and get under the sheets (which took me 1.5 minutes max) I waited and even called her name thinking she was standing outside the door. At least 5 minutes passed (after I was already undressed and waiting) before she came back to the room. Still, I was friendly and she continued to have the nastiest attitude. She asked a few questions about preferences and I made it clear that I wanted firm pressure. She proceeded to massage me with light pressure and seemed disgusted every time I adjusted my headphones or asked her to repeat any positioning directions.To conclude, she was extremely rude, did not apply the correct pressure and seemed frustrated about everything. So much for a relaxing experience at Imperial Oaks Massage Envy!!

Trent is one of the very best massage therapists I have been to. You ask for deep tissue, and he delivers. But $143 for a 90 minute massage? + a 20% tip... I cant justify booking regularly. If Massage Envy was competitively and reasonably priced, I would book at least twice a month. Customers dont care about signing in on an iPad and being chatted up by receptionists pushing product. They want a quiet, quality experience at a reasonable price. Massage Envys across the board might have a 5-star rating if they would lighten up on the corporate pricing and operations.

I have had such INCREDIBLE experiences here that I have to talk about it!! I have had massages in the past but go years in between scheduling another. I booked Sherry for a relaxing birthday massage and WOW!! I was blown away! I felt like I was transported to another dimension, entirely relaxed. Sherry is very talented, it felt like she was reading my body throughout the massage and adjusting to my needs without me having to say anything. I quickly signed up for the membership and each massage with Sherry just gets better! 2nd part of this review: I had a terrible breakout that would not go away. I booked a facial with Megan and she amazed me with all her knowledge, I learned so much about my skin in one hour compared to any dermatologist or online research. My skin was GLOWING after I left, breakout nearly completely gone after 2 days, and to top it off - my wrinkles inbetween my eyebrows are significantly less noticeable! First facial ever and I am hooked! Last but not least, the ladies up front are nothing but kind. They helped steer me in the right direction with my bookings. Love the experience, thank you!

I would like to personally think Bob the owner and all of his staff for being so professional in what they do . I have recently had the pleasure of doing business with their company and had an amazing session with one of their therapist and an amazing experience with everyone in their offices. Some issues came up from the prior company that Owned this before.Those were promptly handled by not only the administrative staff but by the owner himself Bob.What a very pleasant man I would recommend this particular massage envy to anyone that is out there looking to have Great service friendly faces and smiles and professionalism . I frequent this location quite a bit and have visited other locations (in other states and Tx) as well. This is by far my favorite in the area in terms of service. I literally work next to another and still come to Imperial Oaks. I have found my favorite, amazing massage therapist who I will not name only because its hard enough to get in to see him and I want to be selfish!!

Just had my first facial with Meagan and she was fenomenal! She was so sweet, attentive and made sure to ask if I wanted a quiet relaxing session or if I wanted to chat. I left with baby soft skin. My wedding is in a week and she made sure to do the best facial for my skin and the occasion. Thank you again Meagan, I will see you soon.

I Had two appointments in a row cancelled by massage envy on the same day because the massage therapist called out. Great place but I wouldnt schedule an appointment on the weekend; they should figure out a way to coordinate a back up therapist for when the therapist doesnt show up for work.

I had a deep tissue massage from Trent, it was one of, if not the best, massage I have ever had. I have been getting massages for over 20 years and have had massages at spas in places like the hot springs outside of Denver, while on cruise ships, in the Out Back of Australia, in Asia and the while visiting the Middle East. Top notch by anyone’s standards. I bought a membership and will go as frequently as I can.

Inexperienced massage therapists make this the place you DO NOT want to spend your money. If you want an incredible arm pit massage....yes thats what I said, arm pit massage...then this is the place to go. My last massage was the worse I have ever received, and Ive been getting massages for years. I told the therapist I had high stress and was tight across my shoulders, upper back and neck and thats where I needed relief. To my surprise he started massaging my arms...only...and then my arm pit, my forearm and my hands, and NEVER made it to my back, neck or shoulders. I was horrified to the point that I almost stopped the massage. It was also a very uncomfortable experience because he got so close to massaging the sides of my breasts that I thought for a moment he was trying to feel me up. I am done wasting my time with massages at this location. Ill stick with the facials.

This is the absolute worst experience Ive ever gone through. First, I was talked into signing a contract with this company and I did it. The first question I asked (as would anyone when signing a legally binding contract) was can I cancel this membership at any time. The girl who signed me up said yes. I signed away my life with blood apparently because now that I have an emergency and need to cancel, they refuse and threaten me to send me to collections if I dont pay. The trump supporting franchise owner Bob Higgins is a crook and kept talking over me the whole time I raised my concern towards him. I filed a formal complaint through the corporate office and all they did was push me back towards that coward. And when I stated I was recording the call, he suddenly has another meeting to get to and hung up on me. NEVER sign a contract with these theifs. They will lie to your face over and over as has been proven with my calls to this location. I want no further part with this location nor Bob Higgins and I certainly dont want my money going into his fat pockets.

My husband and I were unemployed due to COVID, and despite a layoff we were not allowed to cancel our membership and were expected to pay the outstanding balance for the months we not only didn’t use their services, but given the pandemic, probably couldn’t or wouldn’t have used them anyway. We didn’t even receive a bill until 3 months later, after I assume they were allowed to reopen. When we provided all the documentation they asked for to cancel, they still said we couldn’t.UPDATE:This was originally a 1 Star but I upped it to 3 stars. While corporate has inflexible policies, the GM Shananda makes up for it. After going back and forth a couple times, she was able to cancel our contract and she was always professional over the phone and email.

I would NOT ecommend anyone to do a contract with them because no matter what you going thru, for example accidents, hospitalization, seizures , death in the family ect they will make sure you Yo pay ur monthly fee and if not you will be send to collection . I was diagnosed with epelipsy & memory loss . I would have seizures every month and wasnt allowed to drive anymore & couldnt make it .I explained to them my situation and that I didnt even get any massages to be charged for so much & told them I can send hospital records but nobody cared and was told to they will send me to collection and they did . Thank you for ur customer service & satisfaction & if I knew this in advance I wouldve never came to ur spa . Please never sign a contract with them because we never know what life brings to us then ur entire credit is ruined .
