Today I went for massages for myself and my daughter. It is important to know I also had my 9 year old with me. I walked up and was looking at pricing, but on an important phone call. So I had not yet stepped in. The older lady came and started talking over me while I was ending my conversation. She was way overbearing. But my older daughter had just had surgery so I wanted to try to help her relax. I asked for 2 20 min acupressure sessions. She ushered us to a bed each and then kept saying 30 mins. Which was fine I didn’t want to argue. When I went to lay down I told my 9 year old to sit next to the wall beside me. This lady told her no and showed her the couch. I glanced over the little half wall at my older daughter giving her a beware look. I proceed to lay face down. My older daughter cannot and it is very obvious with her face bandaged up. She tells this woman a few more times she couldn’t lay down just do her feet. The lady insists she lay her head down by kind of pushing her shoulders back. My daughter is now pissed, but trying to keep calm. She wedges herself up so she can keep an eye on the 9 year old. I will say my massage by the gentleman was a 10/10. He did amazing. My daughter however hated every second of the older lady touching her. She stated that she felt like she was intentionally trying to hurt her. As she is being massaged she witnessed the woman on the couch next to my 9 year old scoot closer to her and try to put her arm around my 9 YEAR OLD. She then proceeds to put her phone up and start taking pictures of my daughter. My 9 year old shoved her phone away and told the lady NO. As pushed her away from her and moved towards my older daughter. This woman either works there or is related to them. She was there talking the entire time. The older lady then proceeds to tell my 9 year old “it’s ok, she just wants pictures of you”. My 9 year old very bluntly said NO. Mind you I am face down and can not hear or see this, but my 20 year old Marine daughter watched and was trying to compose herself. When she was finished she immediately grabbed my younger daughter and left the establishment. I continue for another 30 minutes because 1 I had no idea and 2 my massage was great. When I got up to pay she clearly says $90. Which is $60 for myself and $30 for my daughter. I paid it and told her to tip the additional $10 to my massage guy. Next thing I know she is telling me I owe her $20. Which was 100% incorrect. I finally stopped arguing and ran my card for $20. Her math don’t math! I do not review practically ever. It either takes something really good or really bad for me to review. And when my 9 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER TELLS ME THAT THEY PHYSICALLY PUT THEIR ARM AROUND HER AND WAS TRYING TO GET PICTURES OF HER I WAS LIVID! Do Not step in this place with a child. Something is really off with the women here.
So Ive been going to this place for two years now. Every time Ive went, Ive paid with card, tipped my masseuse in cash, and went on my merry way with no issues. I havent been for months due to university in another state. I go in today, excited because my shoulders are tiiiight. the massage was great 10/10. I added on an additional 10 minutes which resulted in a 30 minute massage which is $30. I walk up to the cash register and some older lady comes to ring me up and asks if Im paying cash. I say, no, card. She tells me if Im to pay card it will be more. In my head Im like, Ok thats fine, it may just be an additional merchant fee for using card. She pulls out her calculator and types 30 + 20 = 50. I immediately said no. I usually tip at least 15% whenever I get a service and I was prepared to tip the guy who serviced me $8 because he really got the job done. But a $20 tip for a $30 service? That was 67%, absolutely not. We were going back and forth about this for a short while which im not even sure why she felt like I was even obligated to tip that much. Eventually she knocked it down to $10. which was alright with me. that was more than 30% and more than generous. She tried to play the whole altercation off it felt like after all was said and done, but I was surely rubbed wrong. I understand they work hard and thrive off tips but come on. Theyre extremely pushy but dont let them run all over you. I honestly dont know if im interested in returning based off that. but these knots gotta get out somehow. Maybe a massage gun. Long story short: bring cash.
They will upsell you into the $80 deep tissue massage and then force you to pay $20 tip. Any other place is better.
The massage was excellent, but what I dont like is that they demand that you leave them $10 on tips and thats not the case. Tips are not an obligation and its what you can give or want to give. Im not going back because its already twice That amount is required of me...
Communication is zero No English so you cant explain what you want. Only speak two things How long and Tip pleaseNot sure if these therapists are legally working or certified. Why asking for a tip the 2 times I was there is bad manners.Massage was good for me but could not explain what and where I wanted so it was a big problem.Miss the interaction and feedback one expects from a therapist.Makes you feel like in a third world country not Maryland.Needs a good English speaking manager .Massage was good!
I am coming back to get a REAL massage. If you want candles, music, lighting, the spa experience, then this is not the place for you. However, I highly encourage you to try it, you wont regret it! The effectiveness of the massage is incomparable.
Good place for acupressure if you aren’t looking for a “spa like experience”. I had serious knots and thankfully the man put all of his weight to get them out. Would be nicer if they added some calming scents and used actual oil and not just lotion. But it’s a massage place in the mall so you can’t expect much. Would recommend if you need a quick (cheaper) tension relief massage.
There was a bit of a language barrier when I was explaining the type of massage that I needed. Once we got past that then the massage was about as expected. It wasnt an aggressive deep tissue massage. However it was good enough.
Im a professional fitness athlete who needs to get regular massages. I have been to many places around this area, and the Natural Relaxation Center is my go-to massage place.Mark is fantastic and very professional. I highly recommend it!
Well showed up for normal store hours but no sign of hours change and no staff, waiting 30+ minutes just to see if they show up… phone just rings until it hangs up no Voice mails. 0 isn’t an option but when there is a change to business hours typically you want to notify your clientele in some way. If they ever show up and I use them, I will be sure to update my review.
This is my first time coming here. As a woman, this massage hurt so bad. I wish there was a selection of intensity level to choose from. I actually feel worse than I did when I walked in. Very painful !
I get the same guy every time. He remembers me and know just what and how I want my massage. He does a great job every time! Love this place!
Fair pricing, clean and comfortable and a good strong massage
No appointments for a quick massage, no frills, relaxing and the prices are reasonable...I will be back.
Always a good massage when I go here. No complaints from me so far.
They really listen and take care of your needs, and alleviate the pain. It was relaxing and affordable
I come here regularly. Good prices, good deep massage
No table shower not my kind of massage 😒
Excellent massage. Very relaxing.
There are only 2 people in here who can massage as you would expect. Good luck figuring them out.
They are horrible. Rude and do not tell you what tip you should give.
