Essential Massage

I have been getting regular massages for nearly 40 years. I havent had a massage as good as Lina gave me in over 20! Certainly, nothing close in AZ for me. Im a bigger guy (running around 260) and it is very hard to massage me. She was a true wizard. As someone else mentioned, she got my pain points relieved and I feel like a new man! I will DEFINITELY be coming back here as my new massage therapy location! Also, it is less than 1/2 a mile from the rockin Val Vista Lakes subdivision. YAY!Thank you, Joy, for setting me up today. Thank you, Lina, for such an amazing experience!(To those with special requirements, I recommend explaining them to Joy before you begin your massage, so she can tune in the masseuse. )

My wife and I come here for the last several years we came and saw tonight Dianna... she was the best massage therapist Ive ever encountered and the best massage ever because she focused in and around my pain points in my neck and upper back without me having to even say anything - truly unbelievable. It was the perfect pressure. After she was done I felt like I had been asleep for 20 hours and was ever groggy in a very relaxed way.

For the last several days, I have been dealing with a horrendous migraine. I decided to take a chance with a new spot during such a time, and I did and it was so worth it. I brought my fiance with me and we both agree we recieved two of our best massages ever. We get them regularly too - so we will be changing and giving our business to Essential Massage from now on!

I’ve had multiple deep tissue massages from many different studios. I booked this in advance. First (and last) time here and this is my honest review, I’ll try to stick to facts (I was looking for any reason to give 2 stars but I just can’t justify it): Personal space violated, big language barrier, asked for deep massage to relieve knots and tension and tried to communicate I wanted more deep pressure (masseuse didn’t know understand deeper so “harder” was the word used, she added some pressure sometimes but honestly it’s ok because at the fast speed she worked at, she would have only hurt me. Since I paid in cash I was supposed to get some $10 worth in service during my visit and while I chose an essential oil but they never used it. I was uncomfortable the whole time, should have stopped it but it was like watching a bad movie you can’t take your eyes off cause you want to find some redeeming quality but never do. Pro: it was cheaper than your typical massage. Tho in this case you don’t even get what you pay for.

Went un as a walking and they were able to see me. My back had been killing me all week. So I got a deep tissue massage. At times it was a little painful but thats what I expect for a deep tissue. Massage was great and the provider spoke perfect english. I will go again if my back starts to hurt again.

Bring exact money )&20s and $10s) to pay. While they were friendly, I wasn’t offered change immediately (or at all)for the hundred dollars I gave her for a $70 massage. I was waiting for my friend and took a seat figured they’d eventually give me change because the front desk area was full of people at the time. My person went to The back and I for the first time I lost my words. Never got my change. My friend felt bad because she said she should’ve warned me as she was aware they do that. Seeing other comments, this seems common practice in One way or another. In addition, you shouldn’t go full pumps on cupping for a first time cupping. She pumped the cups about 8110 times. She knew what she was doing and it would hurt.

Wow! A 90 min Thai massage was affordable priced and changed my world!! These therapists work your body and you feel amazin!!! Not many pictures as you are in bliss the entire time!! Do the back walking if they suggest it! Best afternoon of my life!

Had a long day at work and went through so much trouble trying to find availability at every spa around me, luckily was able to get in last minute for a 60 min Swedish massage at this wonderful spot!! Staff was so kind and professional, the facility was clean and welcoming, & my treatment room was dimly lit with calming music which I loved. I wish I knew the name of my massage therapist bc she did a fantastic job on my first ever professional massage and gave me a wonderful experience! Definitely recommend this place!! :)

Amazing atmosphere, the place is small and its easy to miss so if you happen to cross this gem, book an appointment! I just went in for my birthday massage, Lulu helped me and she did phenomenal. She was very respectful and professional. The place was clean and smelled amazing. They also gave me a cold water bottle before I was on my way which was a great caring touch.I will be back!

Lulu is my absolute favorite person to see. She does an amazing job and really gets in deep! I stopped going as often as I was because when I would set an appointment with Lulu or someone else that I liked, I would be put in a room and get the massage from someone else! This consistently happened to me 3-4 times, and its too expensive for me to invest in if Im not given the person that I purposely book with. This did not happen when I first started coming here, it started when were getting new massage therapists.**EDIT**I was personally reached out to by the manager, and she was SUPER nice and apologized about the situation and made sure to make it right by me/what to do in the future!

My usual therapist was fully booked & I felt like a massage sooner than later, so I came across Essential Massage.I read the reviews & liked that I could book online, so I did.Most of the reviews are accurate, so I was accepting that feet probably wouldn’t get done, no forms to fill in, etc & that was ok.I felt the environment was clean & hygienic & my therapist was great. It’s the first time I’ve fallen asleep during a massage! She checked if the pressure was ok near the beginning & it was.The only thing I didn’t appreciate was when it came to paying & the tip screen option came up, the lady asked for a tip & pointed to the highest option, which I think was 30 or 35%I had a lower tip in cash which I gave but it felt uncomfortable when she did that & that is why I haven’t given full stars

I drove from Queen creek and was very happy i did because this was a real deep tissue massage. She worked on every knot in my neck and i left feeling amazing. I will definitely come back again. The only thing that i didn’t like was when you tip it automatically calculates for 30% and it’s awkward to change it because they’re standing right there, but it was definitely one of the best massages I’ve had in a long time !

I have been to this establishment a few times at this point for different types of massages. I have yet to be disappointed in what I get. The back walking is pretty neat if youre into that. I enjoyed it. I much prefer hole in the wall places over big chain places personally. So if this sounds like a thing you want, I strongly suggest give it a shot.

The issue of sciatic nervehas been bothering me for months. Crystal helped me fix that a lot and she knows exactly what the deep tissue is. Youll find Crystal to be a gentle person who is compassionate and understands her job very well. She is the type of person who builds relationships with her clients and can sense where there is the root of inflammation. She is very professional and sensitive to the needs of her clients and always positive. Highly recommend.

Joy was great. She got all my shoulders loose, lots of knots.

I had an interesting experience here. I wouldn’t say bad but different. If you are expecting a normal massage experience this is not your place. When I arrived there wasno one there to greet me. My massage therapist walked in and then told me to head back. No conversation, no forms, nothing. I used the restroom which was in the laundry room. No decor on the walls, very tiny and plain. That being said the massage was great and the therapist was pleasant. The face hole in the bed was covered with a paper towel (like actual paper towel) with a hole cut out of it. Was able to get in last minute, affordable and good massage. If this is your preference you will love it.

I was really disappointed with my massage. The very young lady providing the massage did an okay job overall and if that was it, I would leave a kind 4 stars. But that wasnt it. I purchased a full body massage, but I was looking forward to the foot part of the experience the most. Except that part never came. Noticing my confusion she said I dont do feet. I blamed myself, thinking I had misunderstood the definition of full body. Now I had forgotten my debit card along with my wallet, but I had $108 cash. I planned to tip her $20 and the $80 cost but my gas tank was empty and I would need more than 1 gallon to get back to San Tan Valley. So I decided that $15 was still a decent tip and asked her for change. (Plus my feet were stiff and she pushed all the knots into my shoulders, so $15 was plenty). She informs me that she has no change for a $20. Feeling embarrassed but having no choice, I give her the remaining $8 for a tip and greatly regretted it. Loudly she exclaims Why only 8 dollar tip? I explained that I wanted to tip more but she didnt have change. She pulls out a huge wad of cash and tells me she doesnt have change because she always gets 20s for tips. I suppose I can go ask she says. Rolling her eyes. Feeling responsible because I did forget my debit card (I had actually left it at the nail spa where I had gotten a pedicure that morning,) I told her to forget it and gave her the $20 that at least she felt she deserved. I got the hell out of there, blaming myself for getting a terrible massage from a 20yr old with zero work ethic. I put the $8 in the gas tank and hoped that 1.3 gal of gas would get me home. Lesson learned. Never get a massage from anyone under 30yrs old.

My massage was great, staff was friendly, place was clean nothing too fancy but the massage was awesome I wanted deep tissue as had severe neck and back pain and I got that the cupping was great too. The only thing that was a bit rough was the wash clothes but I see why they are rough yo get off dead skin. My therapist was very intuitive asked me if pressure was ok or too much. I am new to AZ and found a new massage place. If you are looking for deep tissue message and a professional place this is your place it’s not fancy but the massage is way better then the place looks.

I think this place is just wonderful. It is clean and the linens have a lovely relaxing scent. Joy was extremely attentive to where my knots were and she was able to relieve all the areas that have been plaguing me. Most of the massages that I’ve had are too light in pressure and leave me feeling a bit like I wasted my time. Not here. Joy’s pressure was on point and her attention to detail was greatly appreciated. I can’t wait to return and I’ll be recommending to everyone.

I was pleasantly surprised with discovering this massage location. With dozens of places offering massages, one never knows quite what to expect, but I am glad I gave Essential Massage a try. The location is clean, comfortable and professional. A variety of massage techniques are offered and there is even a small loyalty program offered, which gives you a free massage after 10 visits. I will be back soon!

Joy and her staff are very professional and the whole experience from start to finish was just perfect! I felt comfortable and completely relaxed the entire time. I noticed the sign for Essential Massage while in this shopping center. I had some spare time, so I walked in. Very clean and fresh. I decided on a 60-minute deep tissue massage. After Angela took my temperature, she led me to a room. She gave me an excellent back walk and her deep tissue massage was fantastic. Two weeks later I booked a 2-hour massage with Angela on their easy-to-use web site. This time I asked for a 60-minute LomiLomi and 60-minute Thai massage. Again, Angelas massage techniques were awesome. One of the best LomiLomi massages I have had in the valley. The Thai stretching massage was also great, with just the right amount of massage oil. I will return again and maybe ask Joy, the manager, for a massage.

I had been going to Joy for body work for about three years before she opened her own spa. She is one of the best therapists Ive ever been to.Essential Massage is a nice, clean spa and Joy has set high standards in maintaining a safe environment during this current public health situation.I highly recommend this service.

I had an appointment on Sept 3rd. The place had a relaxing vibe & the ladies I talked to were very nice. There wasn’t a conversation or form to fill out of problem areas like places I’ve been before but I mentioned right before my massage started that I was having an issue with a knot in my right shoulder & wanted some extra time taken on that even if it takes away from some time in another area. It didn’t get any extra attention & was still very present 3 days later and my feet didn’t get massaged. I enjoyed it overall but just wished my request was met.

My wife & I started training for marathons a couple years ago so were usually running 40-60+ miles per week. Our sore muscles started thanking us very much when we found this place. The massage quality is excellent for deep tissue massage. The main therapist Joy is very good about focusing on the sore muscles & she listens to feedback for focus areas.

Amazing my husband and I stopped by and they got us in. We both had an excellent massage. Will be back

So far the best massage I ever had. You will not regret going here. My wife got me a 90 min massage for fathers day and WOW. I will be going back soon and she has an appointment already booked for herself because I RAVED about it for hours.

When I came to this establishment, I was on time but I had to wait in the room for 15 minutes. They did not correct it so I basically paid full price for a 45 minute massage. I even tipped 20 dollars for a mediocre massage. Lady who gave me the massage was very unfriendly as well.

Had a lovely deep tissue/Thai massage. The massage table had smooth sheets. The masseuse checked a couple times to make sure the pressure was acceptable. 90 min went way too fast.

I have been to Essential massage several times over the last few months for some serious scar tissue in my shoulders and Angela and Joy are amazing. Both of them made some major progress on freeing up my range of motion and alleviated a lot of pain.

I had an amazing massage with May after pulling a few muscles in my back. She was super professional and my back felt way better after the massage. I will definitely go back as soon as possible.

Respectful, kind, thoughtful, great massage. Best price i have found. If they would add some nice smelling oil with the massage i would give them 5 stars. There massage oil just has no smell at all.

My wife and I drive from Buckeye to have massages. The ladies there are very nice and seem to know what spots to get, with out you telling them.

10 stars!!! Only problem was I should have booked a 2hr lol Joy was OUTSTANDING!!! Simple and perfect! Asked me a few times about if I was comftorble and if the pressure was good for me. Ill be back again soon.

I have been going here for a while now for neck and shoulder stess relief and would recommend to anyone. Each therapist Ive had has been equally great.Excellant staff, excellant cleanliness, excellant massage.

Plan to tip 30% or more, it’s expected. You’ll get lectured if you don’t. They just rub on you a lot, don’t actually massage your muscles. Got grease in my hair and climbed on top of my head (I was face down, but still!).

Horrible place. Worst massage. They dont listen. When you say it is painful towels are like sandpaper that they scrub you with. Very inappropriate pulling underware down repeatedly. Laughed and questioned the tip i left for horrible service. Worst place ever.
