Purchased couples massage package for $120 off of Groupon. My husbands first massage and he looked like a pile of happy jello!! We are so pleased with our services and the hot stones were incredible. We will be recommending all family and friends and will purchase more as gifts! I would consider myself a massage connoisseur and this place is one of the best! Ive been coming here for the past few years and Ive never had a negative experience. Their attention to detail when working on your body and knowing where all the tight spots are is incredible! I have only positive things to say about this place and their prices are also very reasonable. Definitely a 5 star!

First of all, the sheets on the table were very see-through, and I felt a little bit uncomfortable. Second of all, I don’t think the masseauses were actual licensed masseuses, because they didn’t ask me or my sister about any injuries we have or about any sensitive spots that we don’t want massaged. As for the massage, when I asked her to go lighter, she wouldn’t do this, and I left the place covered with bruises. The hot stones they used were also extremely hot, and I felt like they were burning my back. The lady that was massaging me left the room between four and five times to answer the phone or get the door within our 40 minute massage. She would also leave the door wide open so that anyone passing by could see us laying fully naked on the table. Also, they barely used any oil to massage us, and it was hurting my skin, so I had to ask for more more during my massage. There were also scratch marks left on both of our faces from when they tried to massage our face. Before we left, we each were going to give a tip with our credit card. When we said the amount we would tip, they started pressuring us to tip more. The lady spoken a very aggressive tone and at that point, I felt very uncomfortable and we both left. If I enjoy service, I’m always going to tip well, but this was probably the worst massage I have ever had and I am disappointed that I paid $60 for it.

My fiancé and I went today for a couples massage. He got hot stones and I got deep tissue. Excellent massages! Great pressure, friendly staff, affordable prices. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Booked a couples massage for our last day of vacation. This was both of our first massage and we were very impressed. The staff was kind and took care of us immediately. We would definitely go back if we lived in the area. Recommend making an appointment.

This is our second time coming and we liked it SO much we bought a second Groupon. They are fantastic at giving hard pressure. We did the couples massage and both times have been 10/10 unforgettable. Definitely recommend!! Sweet staff, clean facility

If I could give this place a zero, I would. I made an appointment days prior for a couples massage for my partners birthday. When we arrived, the lady seemed confused and apologized because she said she thought I canceled. Someone else canceled she marked it down as being me. She said she texted me a few minutes before I arrived and I never responded. I was driving. I dont text and drive. And I live almost an hour away. I said I didnt call and cancel and I was not late. She apologized and said she can only take 1 person. Being that it was his birthday I insisted he go. She asked for payment first and I paid with my credit card. We waited about ten minutes until she took us to a room. She then mentioned that it would be in about an hour and said to me that my tip amount was not enough. I usually like tipping after the service is done. She tried to explain to me on her phone through a translator because she doesnt speak or understand full English. By that time, I just asked for a refund and we left. This was a disappointment to start off as a birthday gift. Definitely will not be back. Do not go here!!!

Had a nice couples massage here. Pressure was just right and they did a nice mix of upper and lower body. Place was clean and staff was super nice. Will come back.

If youre a big, muscly guy who gets tight and youre tired of the firm petting you get everywhere else, THIS is the spot.Ive been here twice, both times were great. Ive had a lot of massages and a fair number of Thai foot massages. I went in tonight and got a thai massage from Ivy and Im not kidding, it was the best massage Ive ever had in my life. Just go.

I called and made an appointment for a massage as a first time customer. I arrived at my appointment time 245 only to be informed my appointment time was no longer available. I could see on the appointment book at 2:45 was my phone number. The lady apologize said there was a mess up and and offered me an appointment 30 minutes later with an additional 10 minutes to my massage at no charge. For this, they get a two star. She was very kind. However, I feel very discouraged and declined the later appointment time. Scheduling is very unorganized and for that I will not be returning.

They did an amazing job! I had a really bad tension in my neck and shoulders. Its gone now! They took the time to work the areas our bodies needed and I feel so relaxed now. They were very kind and accommodating.

Wow. I have been here a few times and it was always great. This time I decided to get a 90 minute. They wanted me to pay first which I am not used to but not a big deal. After the massage I wanted to tip and when I said $15 she got upset. She wanted more and claimed she only gets paid in tips!!! That is ridiculous. I tip 20% minimum for food service because they make next to nothing hourly. For service people that get a better hourly or for people that own the business I tip 10 to 15%. Out of all the massages I have received I never had this happen. I really liked this place but I don’t know if I can go back. Reading through other reviews this seems to be a common problem here.

Odd experience. Had a couples massage. During the check-in my SO had questions about the different types of massage (which were priced differently), the person kept repeating you pay first instead of answering the questions he had. I had called ahead to schedule everything. When we arrived, they put us in a room with a single bed, then asked if we wanted one room or separate rooms? I had already clarified my preferences, so was mildly disappointed to be repeating all of the details again. During the massage, my guest clarified several times that he was uncomfortable with the amount of pressure. At one point, she called him a baby?! I understand it was deep tissue but you still have to adjust your pressure to your clientele. Ultimately, he enjoyed very little of the massage at all, which was disappointing since it was his first experience. Guessing it will be a very long time before he gets a massage again. I wasnt sure how much pressure was being used, but I do know his back was covered with bruises the next day, which made me very sad :( In addition, paying up front for services makes tipping very awkward. As we were leaving she of course asked for a tip because with everything that happened I forgot. So she requested cash, which I feel they should specify that tips need to be in cash since they accept credit cards for payment, but anyway I tipped each of them 20% to which the one gal literally said that is all. I stopped in my tracks, completely surprised to turn and she said we live off of tips, which I know is somewhat inaccurate in massages, especially one with considerably higher prices than Ive seen in other places and they didnt honor the discount price we discussed, but I didnt want to haggle price in front of my guest. I would not recommend this place at all based on many different factors of my visit. There are so many other places that offer better customer service in the east valley for much more reasonable prices. I can recommend several if you need them.

Great place to get a massage, clean and relaxing environment, friendly staff

I tired them for the first time and read the reviews that they were great and some saying they hassle you for a tips. Mixed reviews but I decide to take a chance.Upon arrival, we put me in a room and began the massage without asking about any spots to focus on or any sensitive areas (injuries, ect...). The business phone was ringing throughout my massage and my masseuse stopped my massage to answer it and another woman came in the continue my massage. This happened multiple times within one hour. Then after the massage, they actually asked me for a tip multiple times.Overall, the massage wasnt the worst, though certainly not the best. I wish the business the best. I will not go again.

I needed a place that could take me around 7:30pm last minute and I’m so so glad I found Massage 40 Thai! It was the best massage I’ve had here in the valley. My back was very sore from moving boxes and furniture all day and they used hot stones and deep tissue massage to loosen it up. I feel so much better and definitely will be back!

My husband and I had our first couples massage. And I must say, we both felt so much relief afterwards. I just wish I could bring the therapists home with me. 😁

DO NOT GO HERE! My friend and I went for a couples massage and the ladies did not follow any proper protocol. I am not even sure that the sheets were cleaned between my massage and the person before me. It was abnormally warm and humid in there, and nothing looked cleaned except the front entrance. The ladies did not ask if the pressure was okay and hardly said a word. There is a reason they are on Groupon!!!! When having me flip over the lady repeatedly said face up, so when I went face up she grabbed my side and said flip forcefully, when I was just confused because I was face up. She didn’t drape the sheet over me and I was completely exposed. 10/10 don’t recommend this place or experience. Lowkey should call a health inspector

The massage was great, I slept better that night than I have in a long time due to less pain. The one problem I had was when I told her what the tip would be she asked me to add five dollars to it. I was tipping through my credit card, while she said she preferred cash and then she added two dollars to the amount I told her. I will go back because it was a great massage but it will be my last time if I have the same issue regarding the tip

I surprised my fiancé with this date night. I saw it on Groupon (50min deep tissue massage and hot stones) and was able to get in the same day The two women working got right to work and let me tell you… This massage was DEEEEEPP. I could have told her to ease up as she did check in with me often but I breathed through the pain because it was needed. My fiancé really enjoyed it as well and I guess he got to experience the walking on his back! We also enjoyed the hot stones as they massaged us with them about halfway through the massage and then placed them on our back while they worked on our legs and feet.No one hassled us about tipping like many of the reviews state. We had their full attention and no one left to answer phones like some reviews also stated. We genuinely enjoyed our experience and will be back!!

My boyfriend got me a groupon voucher from here but it was expiring within the next week. I made an appointment 5 days prior for 12pm. As I came in, the front desk lady said I didn’t have an appointment and she couldn’t take me in. Whoever answered my call booked me for 11am when they told me 12pm. I was kind of shrugged off to be honest and she asked if I want to reschedule later on, but my schedule is full. It was a waste of my time and gas driving just for me to waste my groupon voucher.

I’ve hand many physical issues over many years and have had a lot of massage therapy.I have been going to Helen for several massages and she maybe the best masseuse I’ve had.She adjusts pressure well and can go deep additionally using feet ,knees, elbows and forearms if needed.She also does reflexology and a great stretching Thai massage that has enabled me to do some moderate to difficult hikes after having sciatica, gout arthritis and planter fasciitis and hip issues. (I have one artificial hip and will need my within a year or so). She has certainly enabled me to continue and more frequently enjoy my physical activities with a quicker recovery time with her therapy.

The massage therapists at this location are extremely knowledgeable about the body and healing it! Therapuetic massage means Im never sore afterwards, even when I get a deep tissue massage. I get a massage here monthly and wouldnt go anywhere else. Highly recommend despite its simple style. You can pay more for a fancy atmosphere or you can save a little money and heal your body at Massage 40 Thai.

Dr Annie changed my physical world for the BEST!!! She is by far the most talented doctor I have ever experienced!! Her treatments literally helped me to walk again without chronic pain!! I have been to many Massage therapists over the last 15 years but, have never found a really good therapist until coming here. They are very professional and clean and helped with my back and neck issues. I have referred my family and friends here over and over again.

Your business has very bad tactics, you cannot just provide us with service and then just ask for a tip, you cannot just say tip, tip and expect to get money, at least be polite. (and by the way you guys hurt me by pressing down on my back too hard)EDIT: you people have tracked down my phone number and called me, is this a way to promote your business and make people and take down bad reviews? thats it. I am done, that violates my rights as an american, you cannot track people down to take down bad reviews. Im leaving this and if you people call me once again im calling the police and letting them deal with this call to make them take down bad reviews tactic.

Just got a 2 person 50 min massage here and it was great. I have no idea how the balance in your back like that. Def coming back here.
