I just moved to SI so I was looking for a regular nail spot. After seeing all the reviews, I came in and was overall, not disappointed. So theres that.Pros: clean, nice atmosphere, great massage chairs, parking in back, great gel color selection, overall good work with uv gel set and gel manicure. Ask for Suki for your pedicure!Cons: Ive booked appointments for 12:30pm and 3:00pm on two Saturdays and come early or on time and still had to wait about 20 minutes after arriving to even be seated at a station. The last time two different people did my hands alone. I shouldve remembered the girl that did my nails the first time cause she was amazing. A spot on my thumb was not polished but its not the end of the world. My nails arent filed to my liking (square) but, now I know who not to ask for.This is my second visit, and I do not plan on staying here for Services. I noticed other customers were offered a discount card for $5 off at the fifth visit. I waited to see if I would be offered one but nope, I had to ask after paying. Its not even the $5 its the thought of customer service/engagement.

I wanted to give Miya’s Nail Spa a try and unfortunately I absolutely hated it. I received dip powder and within a week it was chipped and cracked. This is my first time having cracks and I’m really disappointed. The customer service wasn’t professional, I still had to wait for a while even though I made an appointment. Before I got a chance to sort out the tips for the services my mother and I received, the lady comes up to me pressuring me why I didn’t give tip. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. This was my first and last time at this place! I do not recommend this place.

I have been going to this salon for 4 years now and I have to say the service usually great. I always make appts and hardly ever wait. My only thing is the pricing can be off sometimes, I usually get the same services and at times can be charged different prices which is why I gave 4 stars.

Outstanding place! I have been getting my nails done by Ellie since the first day they have opened their doors. The place is always clean, employees are always nice, and prices are fair.

I just came out of this place… I always come here once a month. Two ladies are always great, however the rest are rude. They ask for us to pick the color… has no patience!! I ask for help and she refuse!!! They do great nails but today is officially the last time I go. It’s so sad they act like this. Nails did not come out that great this time. Very upset

Went in for a regular pedi and gel mani. I could tell the technician who helped me was not as experienced and was a little rough at times, especially when pushing my cuticles back. However, she put in a lot of effort and paid close attention to detail, which I appreciate. Can’t beat the price for how great the pedi and mani ended up looking.Took away one star because I do agree that the place is a run down/dirty. Nicole, who was the person I spoke to and took care of me when I paid at the front desk could also have an attitude check and be a little less rude.

I always go to Miya’s I’ve always had trouble with biting my nail and my nails not lasting but I swear with them I don’t bite them anymore. I go here , always. Good service, good nails. These are just some of the nails I did here.

I didn’t get chance to talk with the owner the boss is niche even the other worker expect the one who made my pedicure she did the worst job for ever even the boss payed attention to her and she replaced her so the other lady finish her job I was so upset of wasting my time was on break and going back to work she even didn’t scrub my feet well she wanted to be smart please a message to the owner I hope you remember me because I really wanted to talk to you but you were busy my appointment was June 14 2024 at 2 pm plz next time don’t get me Simone who don’t have experience we payment with money not a stone

I got my nails done here on Christmas and I loved how they turned out!!! I needed to find a new place in Staten Island since I always get them don’t at school and i found this place on Google. I got a UV gel fill in and it has lasted since Christmas! I even got a free little gift

I was in a pinch for time when I came here- my normal go-to location was busy so I decided to give this place a try. I was a little hesitant because of the reviews but I am glad I came!! The staff was very friendly, & gentle with my daughter. Great experience!

I really loved their pedicures but their acrylics aren’t great. They ruined my natural nails by over filling them. .. I went recently and was disappointed. The pedicure wasn’t what I had experienced before. They charged $42 for a regular gel manicure and $60 for the pedi. Which I thought was a bit much but I digress. Then when I went to pay they told me to use their ATM. Nope. First off if it’s not in a bank, I don’t use it. Too sketchy. Secondly don’t worry how I pay, I’m paying. Thirdly ,I like to accumulate points on my CC. After I was charged they waited for a cash tip, which I gave. But don’t hover over people. If they tip - they tip, don’t stand over me or tell me to put it on my card. I didn’t see them do it to anyone else so they assumed I wouldn’t tip which is rude because I tip well, provided you’re nice and the job is done correctly. So because of the hovering I only tipped them the minimum. Lastly, I made an appointment for a Friday and was obviously seen. They called me on Saturday and said I was late. I told her that they did my nails a day prior and she hung up on me. Excuse me ma’am?? LolIt’s gone down hill. After that debacle, I decided never to go back.

Though they had plenty of awesome color choices and a few staff members who were very sweet, the overall experience was not great. The gel polish put on was uneven and had bubbles yet when it was pointed out calmly, was dismissed and ignored. Cuticle cutting was over the top and I was bleeding on not one but two of my fingers, and the station itself was filthy. They lightly dusted, once, wiping the counter with the same tool used on my nails which normally wouldn’t bother me, except nothing seemed very clean to begin with. The actual equipment was new, but the brushes and clippers used were old, rusty and clearly not regularly cleaned. I was very disappointed and will not be going back. That’s not to say someone may have a better experience! It just wasn’t for me. One technician in particular was rude and difficult. Everyone else was pleasant, but seemed rushed.

Amazing experience. The people that work there are polite and great at what they do. Pedicure with hot rock spa treatment was very relaxing and prices are reasonable for the service you get. Suki is friendly and my go to when I visit.

Saying my goodbyes after 3 years. Ive been with Miya nails for nearly 3 years now needless to say I have had many bad experiences here one example being when my nail tech stopped in the middle of my service because her friend came in and wanted her nails done and me having to wait 30 minutes for someone to take over this is just one of many experiences. After finding my suited nail tech Nikki who is an amazing, talented and sweet person I decided to put those bad experiences aside and stick with her. Every time Ive come here the prices for the same services have been different but I never fully questioned it because I can be high maintenance and particular but since its been some time and Ive done nothing different with my routine I grew curious as to why the pricing would fluctuate so often. I decided to conduct a social experiment and so I called the salon prior to specify the pricing and make an appointment I was told $55 for UV gel/gel color and $40 for gel pedicure I asked if there was any additional charges they say no I come in for my appointment my pedicure is flawless Nikki does my nails and she kills it again but then I get to the register and my total comes out to $98 and so I ask what the additional charge was for and the person at checkout pretends to calculate $98 but after I had corrected her for the service prices indicated on the board and telling her I was told prices prior she then turns around to my nails tech and they begin discussing (in a different language) she turns around and tells me that the reason I am being up charged $3 was because... I TRIMMED MY NAILS SHORTER.... because she filed them down... my nail tech looked kind of embarrassed and annoyed because she knew I was being charged additional for no reason and even after Im clearly annoyed she begins pestering me to use their ATM to pay in cash after I kindly declined she rolls her eyes and starts bad mouthing me. This isnt solely about the money Ive never been a cheap person I tip over $20 each time and have no issue paying the price I had gotten my birthday nails here and paid $175 no problem but it makes me wonder how many times Ive been incorrectly charged for the 3 years Ive been coming here and its upsetting to see that they are capable of taking advantage of their loyal customers like this.

Just a simple lip wax walked in and out. They asked me for a tip didn’t talk to the woman they didn’t talk to me manager was hovering over me for either cash tip or on my card I said I didn’t even have enough, but she said at least a dollar they did nothing for me I was forced to write a dollar in the receipt slip after I paid simply for a 6$ lip wax she said it’s 7 with card then she told me to write $8it’s just over and over giving extra money for no reason you’re obligated? For what

When they first opened, it was a fantastic nail salon. Vi was my nail tech. After Vi left & moved, all the girls & the boss changed. They were so warm and friendly. Now its so uncomfortable to be there, so after years of going, Ive left so many friends & family that went also

Best nail place ! 100 recommended, theyre work is amazing and lasts for about a month. From my experience . My mom gets gel manicures and I use to get tips.

I always had a good experience at Miya Nail. There was one time I had a issue because someone got taken ahead of me and they gave me 5 off my total. The owner is nice to me. Once she sees its me (knowing I am a constant customer) she says hello and smiles. Sometimes she check on the work the ladies are doing on my nails, to be sure its being done right. All the ladies have done decent jobs on my nails and my powder lasts long, my nails grow in nicely and the place is very clean and they play some good music, even hip hop. Its usually only place i go and its best to make a appt

I never write reviews but the lady who did my nails caused my cuticles to bleed. I booked an online appointment but it doesn’t matter because walking in it was packed and we had to wait even though we had appointments. The lady was too harsh and went very rough when filing. She kept making facial expressions because i asked for my nails to be long. She didn’t support my fingers when filing so my nail beds were in pain the following day. I showed her a design I wanted but she laughed and said no so I told her it was fine. She kept laughing throughout the session with her co workers and I felt she was laughing about me. Everything was rushed and at the end the design she could do was not great, I had to go home and paint over it. Would not go there again.

Nail tech filed my daughter’s nails all unevenly, different lengths and shapes and widths, filed some cuticles raw and put the layer of uv clear gel on all sloppy and touching the cuticles. We pointed it out a few times and she kept on ignoring the issue saying she’d “fix it later.” Expressed to other staff that we were uncomfortable and asked if someone else in shop could maybe finish the job, they said no one else was able to do gel that day. The tech got upset that we asked for someone else and refused to even try and fix the situation. No exaggeration. Been getting uv gel for years, never experienced such a level of incompetence and attitude.For clarification I had been using Nikki in the shop, who is great but was unavailable that day. They lost me as a customer after this fiasco.

So I never really leave reviews, but I was completed today to do so. I have been going her for a few months for gel fill ins and gel pedicures. Needless to say, every time I go I pay a different price. Today I was charged 56 dollars for a gel fill and color, the fixing of 2 nails, and 3 dollars to cut my nails. When I mentioned this the lady told me no the prices are the same all the time, she also charged me an extra 2 dollars for nothing. They are scammers! After I use the balance of my gift card I will not go there ever again.

I came in with strong healthy nails, got acrylics from here and my nails became damaged. not to mention, overpriced. In addition to this i was pestered for a tip. Overall a horrible experience. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Won’t be going back. I got a basic pedicure and gel manicure. She didn’t file my ties evenly. And the polish wasn’t dry enough before she started putting on my shoes because they don’t have a dryer for your feet. So I’m now gone having to fix it. I paid for a callus removal which she didn’t do much of. My gel manicure I asked for completely square and she rounded them. Also when she was removing the gel polish with the tool she made a dent in my nail. I only came to this place cause it was close by me instead of making a commute. It was not with the 60 I paid. Only reason I didn’t fight with them about it was because I work in the service industry and I hate when people make a scene. I genuinely regret coming here.

Sooooo, I went here again, trying to give this place another chance. As I received a gift card for my birthday so I had to finish it out. Todays experience solidified why I will never spend my money in this place again. The young ladies who performed my services were great. I wish they worked somewhere else because they made my experience bearable, however the women who sits in the first seat (I think she is the owner), is rude, unprofessional and she doesnt like black women. She was extremely rude to me today over something I didnt even make a big deal out of, than I watched another women have the same issue and she bent over backwards to solve it. While she was condescending to me and spoke in her language to the other women about me even though they spoke perfect english. Needless to say, another women who doesnt look like me asked to purchase a buffing board and she said no you can have it for free, but everything Ive ever asked for I have to pay for it( which I never have any issue doing, I am just highlighting the disparate treatment). I spend well over $100 every visit. Today I left knowing I would never return to this establishment, as I rather take my money elsewhere to people who appreciate the money I spend.I sat back and watched this women be kind, professional, and caring with other customers, I whited she could have extended that same courtesy to me. Im so hurt!

This is a very clean and comfortable nail salon. They are always as enthusiastic as ever. Ive been doing manicures here for two years. Every time its a beautiful experience.❤️

I wasn’t happy with how my nails came out. I showed the tech the design I wanted but said she couldn’t do it, which is fair. But she also showed the tech next to her and they said something and sort of laughed about it. It didn’t feel welcoming.The tech then kept adding layers of polish and I ended up with a really thick manicure. It’s not the salon for me but I’m sure it’s great for others.

Extremely disappointed considering my daughter has been going to them for over a year now and loves Vivi. She had an appointment and as soon as she got there they made her soak her nails. No problem, 40 minutes later, Vivi left my daughter still soaking and took another customer. After an hour and 20 mins my daughter was still soaking and in tears with no apologies from anyone for her still soaking in acetone!! Yo, you don’t soak your own nails for an hour 20 mins, why would you have a young girl soaking for that long without even acknowledging her?! And they had to nerve to try and blame my daughter?! Disappointed and disgusted at how she was treated!In response to your reply, I did address the issues with you but you ignored my complaints. So no my review is not inaccurate and it is very fair considering the way you treated us.

This is the third time I have done my nails at Miya nail salon. The women are so polite and the salon is very clean. The prices are responsible. They have a parking lot and offer refreshments. My nails last so long, love the dip powder.

I wish I had read the reviews properly before visiting here. The pedicure was substandard. She basically rubbed my feet, cut my toe nails and that was it. I have never had so bad a pedicure!! I also did my nails and I had about 3 injuries after. I definitely would not recommend it and I also won’t be going back. It’s too bad their services were poor as I was impressed with the interior design

First time coming here and I expected my nails to come out nice, especially for my 21st Birthday. I absolutely hate my nails. I got gel tips, full set and they look clumpy and thick. My nails looked better before I got them done. Not satisfied at all. Not a great experience.

My second time in this salon and I loved their color gel manicures. Although I found it a bit odd having manicure without water buckets or cutting the cuticules off but the nails came out well. I tried powder manicures before at different places and it usually came off or broke by the 2nd week. However Miya’s color gel lasted for a month. This location is now my favorite in Staten Island. I’ll be a regular in this salon. I highly recommend it.

The lady who did my gel mani was so rough. The job she did on my cuticles caused all fingers to have a half moon of hangnails!! Plus, she put sooo many layers of powder dip, even with filing & sanding down, they’re so unbelievably thick & fake looking. Also got a pedicure & the polish is already chipping... it’s been 2 days!!! I’ve never had a pedicure last for this short of a period. The ladies were nice enough but I def. won’t be back.

The service provided are decent, the technician work not so good just acceptable. But the found the store very filthy and dirty. All technicians apron very dirty, table and glasses full of dusk and finger print. The nail clipper and all tools are all look filthy and rusty.

My first time getting a mani and pedi at this location. The atmosphere is great. Lisa did an awesome job making the stone pedi a relaxing experience. Will definitely visit again when I’m in NY.

HORRIBLE. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. It was my daughters first time there and was treated like a criminal. WHEN LEAVING THEY SURROUNDED MY MINOR DAUGHTER AND MADE HER GIVE THEM A TIP. I DONT recommend Going to this place. They are rude And nasty. And have no respect for the customers. Lucky I didn’t sue them.

I went to this nail salon for the first time yesterday and it was the BEST gel manicure I have ever received! ViVi was professional, wonderful, and talented. You really cant beat the price, professionalism, and atmosphere! 10/10 recommend!

Please do not go here. This woman Nicole was vicious with my cuticles to the point where she hurt me three times and the third time made me BLEED. Not only did she act like this was normal, she never even bothered to apologize. Right now, 4 cuticles are throbbing in pain. I should call the board of health on these people. Their attitude deserves it

Will never go back or recommend this place to anyone . Dont waste your time and dont bother trying to book an appointment online its worthless. I showed up early to my appointment and they couldnt see me i was told to come back at my scheduled time . When I arrived at my schedule time apparently they had 4 others for the same time then said to sit and wait. I completely walked out this place definitely was not getting my money.
